A writers retreat, rather than a holiday destination”
Picasajo is beautifully deigned, and the location is very peaceful. The couple who run the hotel are genuinely kind and caring, and will go out of their way to care for your needs. It is however very far from the beach, and there are no shops and limited eating options. I would recommend Picasjo as a writers retreat, rather than a holiday destination. Otherwise, a couple of nights stay for rest and relaxation, and then on to more populated areas for human connection and greater choice.

Quiet retreat”
The art space/hang out area, the great people who worked there & the Kayaks the hotel let you use.
By far the best place i have stayed in Koh Chang. The hotel is quite secluded with a sizeable walk to local towns however the lovely staff gave us several rides in the back of their pick up truck to places during out stay for which we can't thank them enough. The rooms are big & clean with good A/C The rooms sit just by a little pier over the water which is a dreamy place to sit. Great little coffee shop on site which we used quite a bit during out stay. Kayaks are available to take out for free which is really fun, there is no beach but the kayaks allow you to make the most of the water. The laid-back attitude of the the people at Picasjo really made our stay amazing, they were happy to help with anything from driving us to a secret beach to cooking us breakfast in the mornings.

Very nice place with fantastic staff”
If you want to stay in calm place on the Koh Chang Island, choose this resort. It is on the east side of the island, far from overcrowded beaches, but you can hire the motorbikes and go wherever you want and you will stay on very nice place with sea view. Breakfast was fantastic, we could choose traditional thai or western breakfast and staff here is incredibly helpfull and caring.

I'm doomed to miss this place forever”
3 best things? Well, first best thing is for your eyes. The second thing is for your body and the last one is for your mind.
A quiet, beautiful and truely exotic bay, mangrove forests, jingle jungle. I spent here my best days at this asian journey. "Picasjo House" is a small masterpiece of art. The hotel provided me a kayak and I visited distant secret beaches and small deserted islands (it takes about 1,5 hours to get to Lanoya islands). It was easy to spend whole day in the sea after tasty and rich breakfast. An evening with an hospitable and warm-hearted hosts at Picasjo coffeeshop was a perfect end of the day. Even if you intended to live on west side beaches, take motorbike and go to Salakphet for a couple days. That could be an unforgettable adventure, if you're strong enough to get that this place holds.

Great Place and Stay on Koh Chang”
Value, design and Staff were fantastic
Picasso was excellent. Highly recommended if you enjoy nice relaxing ocean-side stay. Great friendly staff and amenities were quality. Not far at all from the ferry and easy to find. Close to hospital, pharmacy and seafood restaurants. Everything you need for a nice holiday.

Amazing place”
staff, atmosphere, peace
We had a marvelous time and really felt completely relaxed and at ease. The staff are incredible and go out of their way to help you have a great time, but they also give you plenty of space to enjoy their property. Picasjo has a wonderful bohemian feel and is on the quieter side of the island. There are kayaks and bicycles to use or you can rent a scooter. The coffee is excellent and the art and mood also create a great vibe. We would be back in a heart beat!!

25Km from Ferry Terminal. Wifi and Power sometimes stop to service. This hotel is just relax to stay. Nothing to do. A car should be needed to access.

Excellent and inspiring hotel”
Good (remote) location, Friendly hosts, Nice design
This was very unexpected and pleasant surprise. Hotel is located away from all the crowded tourist beaches on the east shore and sits right next to Salak phet marina. There were 2 kayaks supplied (for free!) for use at any time. Scooter rental is available nearby and is arranged if needed (250 B per day). Rooms and hotel all together were truly nice design and all details were thought trough. I highly recommend this to anyone who wants to get away from tourist crowds and enjoy some nature. There is a sandy beach in about 20 minutes (with scooter, some tricky roads) away, you can ask and hosts can also give you a ride there. The internet highly depends on user amount, but during the weekdays we were the only ones there. Breakfast and food menu are delicious and there is even decent coffee! We really enjoyed our stay there, and our 2y old son adored the place and the hosts. Thanks again and i would rate this 11 if it would be possible.

Absolutely liked it, though far from everything.”
Great location beside the sea/mangroves, very friendly staff, and free fishing/kayaking
+ At first I was worried as it was so far from the beaches and nightlife . But, seeing the hotel and its surroundings we liked it so much. The room was spacious and the toilet was large enough and clean. The sea and mangroves were at the door steps. We loved to swing by the sea or sit back at the jetty to see the sunrise / sunset. Bonuses were very friendly and attentive staff and some free facilities including fishing and kayaking. I also liked their breakfast (included in the price). They staff were more than happy to help us for anything we needed. There was a restaurant beside the hotel, but we used to walk about 10 minute for the Jab Jab Seafoods as we liked their foods (Serves Halal foods). The WiFi was fast. - It is very far from Beaches and shops (35 km from the White Sand beach). You cannot move without a car / motor bike.

Relaxing and Reinvigorating”
Location, staff and design
Picasjo House is a refreshing counterpoint to bland, chain hotels. It's a quirky place which on arrival looks unprepossessing, but don't be fooled by first appearances. The room are large and clean, the internet is fast, and you are right of the side of Salak Phet bay looking out over the water. It's a relaxing and serene setting, abetted by the interesting designs and artworks found in the rooms and around the hotel created by the owner's friend. The people running the place are friendly, laid-back artistic types always ready with a smile or offer of help. I heartily recommend Picasjo for a different, more personal 'hotel' experience, and as a base for exploring the quieter, undeveloped side of Koh Chang Island. .
