Great, clean, modern hotel with friendly service.”
The Pilanta Spa resort was an excellent choice for our stay in Koh Lanta. It isnt right on the beach but is ideal for a relaxing get away. The rooms are clean, modern and spacious with excellent facilities. The staff were always professional and extremely friendly and helpful, going out of their way to ensure that we had an enjoyable stay. Another positive was that they all spoke English, which was not necesarilly the case everywhere on the island. I would certainly stay in this hotel if I was to visit Koh Lanta in the future.

Great service”
we decided to head over to koh lanta after some friends had recommended it while we were on koh phi phi. it didn't disappoint. koh lanta is much quieter than koh samui or koh phi phi... and a lot more laid back. pilanta spa resort was a nice stay but isn't in the best of locations. it was a fair distance from any of the restaurants or bars on koh lanta. if you are looking just to hang out at a resort then it would be great, especially for a family. we found the location to be a bit far from the main areas. overall the hotel was nice - stayed in a deluxe suite with private pool. room was a bit dirty on arrival but was quickly rectified. overall, happy with our stay but next time would pick somewhere a bit closer to khong klong.

Really lovely resort hotel!”
Pace on Koh Lanta island is very casual and unless you are in to diving there's not much to see and do except relax and enjoy the spectacular sunsets! This was my first time to Koh Lanta and to stay at Pilanta and I don't think it will be my last! The hotel, while not on located on a beach, is close enough to walk to one or rent one of the hotel's motobikes to get there even quicker! The only two complaints I have are: horrendously slow internet and only one or two English channels on the TV. The front desk staff go out of their way to help with any problems (one of them even brought and picked up laundry off campus for me when their machine was broken!!!). The hotel owner is very present and oversees everything with care.

Enjoyed Our Stay”
Koh Lanta is an amazing island and it was my favorite on the trip (minus a day trip to an even less inhabited Koh Yao Noi). Pilanta was a great hotel to stay at, and we enjoyed their transfer to and from the pier upon arrival and leaving. There was a really good buffet breakfast in the morning and the pool is awesome. The resort is located on the top of the island, fairly close to the pier. It would be essential to rent a motorbike to get anywhere. Not within in walking distance to much. It's location makes travel to the national park or southern parts of the island and all day event. However, I loved that! It's beautiful and filled our day. The only con about Pilanta was a problem with our room. We had ants. LOTS of ants. They were coming in through a crack in the bedroom ceiling and a crack in the bathroom. It was pretty disgusting and the only thing they could do was used canned bug spray, but obviously, the problem is in the walls.

Wonderful staff, huge room”
We loved Pilanta! We spent 2 days in Koh Lanta on our way to Koh Mook, and had a wonderfully luxurious and relaxing time here. We had a separate side room where we put the baby cot and were able to close a curtain at night so our son could sleep and we could read or watch TV. The bathroom was great - separate huge jacuzzi bathtub and big shower. Kettle, fridge, DVD player everything you could need. There was a baby pool which our 2-year-old adored. The hotel is a bit outside of Sala Dan, but with a 5-minute tuk tuk ride, you are there in no time. The breakfast buffet was wonderful and served in the beautiful restaurant. The hotel organized an elephant trek and speed boat transport to Koh Mook for us. They were very helpful! Internet connection was free but very slow while we were there. We only had breakfast at the hotel, as the restaurant seemed overpriced and we prefer Thai street food.

Very Lovely Hotel ”
our stay at the pilanta spa resort was excellent. the hotel itself is beautiful and luxurious and the staff are very helpful and friendly. the rooms were huge and very comfortable and clean. and the pool is excellent for hanging out working on your tan. the only downside is that it is a little bit away from everything. getting to the main beach area is a bit of hike through a residential neighbourhood (dogs included) with no real idea of where you are going. if you have transportation (car, motorbike) though, it'd be fine. you must eat at maladee restaurant across the road (even if you don't stay at the hotel, go to the restaurant!). all in all, a fabulous hotel.

Retreat and Relax in style....without the price ta”
Pilanta has redefined the boutique hotel provision on Lanta Island. Pound for pound, this hotel provides you with so much more than you bargain for. The rooms are delectfully designed and meticulously made up. The salt water pool, circular in design, dominates the view from all balcony's, but you can always retreat to your room when the rain begins and enjoy the comfort of a spa bath. The staff here are incredible. They are down to earth and attentive without being overbearing. I literally cannot wait to go back and enjoy the beauty of the island knowing that I will be returning to my giant bed. Beautiful

Very beautiful room.”
Our stay at the Pilanta Spa Resort was very nice. The room was absolutely beautiful and the bathtub jacuzzi was amazing with views outside. Although the beach was not too close it was nice to come back at night to a gorgeous and comfy room with the lobby providing free DVD's. It's quite a long walk to restaurants and shops so we rented a scooter. We went to the beach off the main strip everyday which we had to scooter to. The beach was gorgeous and had no rocks to worry about! We got the room for a very good price off of Agoda because low season was setting in. If I returned I would stay somewhere directly off the beach instead.

Had amazing time!”
Spent 4 nights in Pilanta. It's a beautiful, new hotel. We were there in low season mid May so first two nights we were the only people except staff which was great and we were well looked after! Staff was amazing, very helpful and friendly. They organised cake for my boyfriend's birthday! We were mostly eating at hotel's restaurant as food was great and also cos there is not much around We had breakfast included which was massive and very good! Dinners were very good as well! Hotel located 10 min from the beach. Hotel offers transfer but it's within the walking distance. We rented scooters and drove around the island which was great! We really enjoyed our stay in Pilanta and would definitely recommend it to others.

A delightful home away from home”
We enjoyed our time there so much that we extended our stay a Pilanta Spa and Resort for the entire time we were in Koh Lanta.

Beautiful and relaxing hotel”
we had a great time at pilanta spa resort. coming from a crowded ho chi minh city, this resort was just perfect in many ways. the room was spacious and (for us) felt pretty luxurious. very quiet (big plus for us). big bed, wifi, big bathroom with both a great shower and a jacuzzi bathtub. we also had our own mini pool right outside (in our backyard). the breakfast was good, but we'd had better. we recommend renting a motorbike (at the hotel) as a mean of transportation. that way you'll be able to see the whole island.

Value for Money Resort ”
This was my second time staying. Overall, I rate it as slightly above average. The previous visit was during the off-peak period thus the staff were much personal and helpful. This time round, the service was poorer. When I feedback about the pool within my villa, it was rectified. There isn't much difference between a deluxe and a villa suite room. Somehow, I felt that the deluxe room I booked the last time was much spacious. The main swimming pool in the resort is pretty well-furnished. The resort still offers free DVD rental with up to date shows for you to view in the comfort of your room. Gym facilities is also available in the resort. Breakfast buffet also available. Personally, I will still book Pilanta Spa Resort for my next trip(if any) as it is reasonably priced, sort of a "5 star resort within the village" when compared to its surrounding.

Relaxing stay”
All in all, it was very relaxing, especially having your own jacuzzi in your room. The room service was very good, room itself is clean and spacious. Most of the staff are friendly (not all) and they rent out a bicycle and motorcycle at very reasonable price. The swimming pool is also one of its main attractions. Breakfast was not so great though, not all is served warm, but you can request for freshly cooked eggs the way you want it. We didn't try the restaurant for other meals as there is a very clean restaurant just in front of Pilanta resort which we like very much.

Nice Hotel and good quality price”
we had a nice stay at pilanta, room is very nice and clean however i have a little complain as we could never use jacuzzi because during our stay (2 days) hot water was not working. they should avoid this kind of issues as the hotel is a spa resort.

Nice and relaxing, great service!”
We stayed at Pilanta 2 weeks total of 4 weeks cause we liked the hotel and rooms. They had great people working and it felt like we got new friends staying there. Service was excellent. The hotel looks really nice overall. They could be better at cleaning , get more entertainment/activity. They could get better TV channels. We been to other "worse" hotels and they got better channels so you can watch something before bedtime. Overall Pilanta Spa Resort is a hotel I'll go back to.

Wonderful resort and good services”
The stay at this resort is a very good one and the staff is always ready to help you. The room is nice and clean. It also comes with a small pool and jacuzzi and it is very value for money. The location is near to the town area and it is very convenient to move around. I will confirm to stay in this resort if I go back to koh Lanta.

tranquil bliss”
hotel is beautiful and new. had an amazing week there, perfect base to explore lanta. definitely hire a motorbike to get around the island. the room was luxurious and so spacious with a big spa, private massage room and fantastic private pool in the back courtyard. recommend this hotel for a romantic getaway. only downside is there is no direct beach access, so either have to sneak through the neighbouring hotel, but they shut their gates at night, or detour around which is about a 15min walk in the dark. also delish pancakes at the breakfast buffet!

Relaxing hotel with very friendly staff.”
One of the better small hotels in Koh Lanta. Located at the northern end of the island close to the ferries. Staff where very friendly and helpful in all matters. Very quiet location for relaxing. This vist was in the low season, high season would see a very different, busy, and somewhat overloaded Koh Lanta.

Loved my stay here”
I splashed out more than I normally would in Thailand for hotels on this trip and out of the three places I stayed at this was the only one that met and exceeded my expectations. Staff were friendly and helpful. My room was amazing although no matter how many mosquitos I squished, they just kept coming in somehow (there is a gap of around a centimetre under the door) so I ended up with many bites especially as I slept. But that's part and parcel of staying in Thailand. Loved the massive spa bath and private spa pool. Only let down was probably housekeeping leaving the job only half done on my second day of stay. Several things needed replenishing and I couldn't just phone up to let them know as neither phone in my room worked. I am certain this was an oversight on behalf of housekeeping and not a regular occurrence. The lack of a working phone also defeated the purpose of room service as I had to trudge out to the front desk to order - and was pretty much the furtherest possible room out, but food was nice and reasonably priced. I walked to Saladan town from the hotel - around 20 minutes. You can also get a tuk tuk, but the walk is pleasant as you bypass the sea. Food here is cheaper than the hotel. The front desk also had a good selection of recent dvds including dvds for children which I found good as a female solo traveller not wanting to be out at night, this was a relaxing and enjoyable way to spend my nights. Good buffet breakfast. Definitely recommend this hotel.

Great Rooms, Very Relaxed”
Pilanta had beautiful rooms, and it was a small 10 minute walk from the beach and market. It's ideal to rent a scooter, so reserve one with your reservation (about 250 B per day) because the go fast! If not, there are tons of rentals available at the Saladan market. There is a wonderful restaurant across the road that we ate at multiple nights... some of the best food we had in Thailand.
