What was expected
price, proximity to subway
It took us awhile to find because Apple Maps took us to the wrong place, Google Maps wouldn't recognize the location, and when I tried Naver Maps, it would show me the map with the guesthouse's location, but once I tried to navigate their, it wouldn't work. So, I had to just have the map open and navigate us there without using the GPS. It was doable, but a lot of extra effort. When we arrived, we weren't sure where to go, so I called the number I found online. A nice gentleman who spoke English answered us and directed us. A nice lady who was staying there was apparently helping out and directed us to where we needed to go, and when I mentioned that the booking said that breakfast was included (she had been told it wasn't), she contacted the owner and ensured that we had breakfast available in the morning. Because the actual staff weren't there, we didn't get a code for our door, but I think that if I had called it wouldn't have been a problem to get. The beds were comfortable enough and the rooms were clean. For a last minute booking, it was no worse an accommodation than I expected, and I would stay there again if in the area and in need of a place to stay.

10 mins walk to Yongsan statoin,
local restaurant nearby, 5 mins walk from Samgakji station, Cheap
Location is good, close to Samgakji subway station, local restaurant nearby, a local supermarket nearby the fruit and beer are cheap. They give us a free upgrade but that upgraded room need to walk 3 floor stair but they are so helpful to carry all our luggage up. its worth to this price ! only two incidents make us not happy about (i think because that is a new place so later maybe they will get better prepare) 1. I will stay here again if they do clean the toilet before a new guest arrive, as have many urine stain on toilet bowl. 2. Anyone can go inside the building as the main door of the building has no lock, At midnight someone keep knocking our door, finally find out is the stuff help us take luggage who leave want to take some tower from our room.

Nice and Affordable
Friendly owner, cleanliness, atmosphere
I only stayed at this guest house for a night. Upon booking, the owner texted to inquire about the time of check in and was easily available for contact throughout. The place is a little bit difficult to find. I used Google Maps and the guesthouse was actually one side street further than it showed on the map. The owner, Jin, came to greet me and show me around the facility. He was very friendly and wanted to get to know me. He inquired about when I would be checking out so that he could see you out personally. I ended up leaving a little earlier than anticipated and he expressed regret that he didn't get to see me before I left. We stayed in a twin bedroom that had two twin beds in it. It was comfortable and homey. It was a little bit cold as the house had no heating, but heating pads for the bed were provided and I had a great sleep. I really enjoyed my stay there and would stay there again when I'm in Seoul.

Comfortable stay in Seoul
Location;Cafe;New friends
I stayed in pine tree guesthouse twice. This time the host was changed, but Mr.Kim was so nice, with good command of English and hospitality. Very close to samgakji subway station, so very convenient to get to everywhere. I recommend everyone try at least once the cafe, really lovely cafe and you can talk to Mr. Kim or your new friends.

so grateful that i stayed at pine tree guesthouse
very clean, the owner and her daughter were so kind and speaks english fluently, location of the guesthouse is near to subway and bus stops, safe
i enjoyed and had a great time during my stay. the owner helped me on booking for the reservations to nami island. as well as on my first day on the subway. they were very accommodating. house is very clean. even if the location is in the city, the guesthouse has very nice atmosphere wherein you can relax (can't hear the noise on the streets) after a long day of travel. the guesthouse is also safe. i has cctv cameras and touch screen locks, so theres no need to worry on safely. the owner is also always around and is very friendly. i booked for 3 days at the guesthouse and added 4 days which means i stayed a week there. i never had problems with regards to the guesthouse itself. i am so grateful and lucky that i chose where i stayed. when i go back to seoul, i will definitely stay in the same guesthouse. and will also recommend this guesthouse to other people.

Quiet relaxing stay
Peaceful, Attentive Staff, great location
One of the best hostel in all my travels. This is not a party hostel. It's geared more towards the clean, quiet, and respectful crowd. Staff is perfect for those wanting to get introduced to Korean manners without feeling embarrassed. Location: Subway station is just around the corner (2 mins). Central location within half an hour of just about everything. Food: Not much in the way of western restaurants but more than enough local options within a couple of blocks. (there are some western food like Italian pasta and fried chicken). No cooking at hostel but plenty of cheap restaurants. Facilities: Very clean, peaceful and quiet. beautiful garden to walk into. Living room for social gathering. wooden deck to hang out on a nice night. Fridge and microwave. Beds are clean but very hard. Internet is excellent. Staff: Fantastic. Mother and daughter. Daughter speaks almost perfect English and mother has excellent body language skills. Very attentive.
