Guesthouse that makes u feel like home”
I found a thread somewhere on where a guy was highly recommending this place, and turned out it's 90 steps away from the dive shop I was using for my diving, so I booked a room in Pineapple Guesthouse. It was a very well-priced room and had everything I need during travel: good shower, king bed, a big fridge, big mirror, big closet with hangers, complimentary drinking water, very clean, daily service... even a balcony with floor to ceiling windows! So, the room part was amazing. Now, the customer service. During my travels I don't like staying in resorts: I enjoy getting to know local people, talking to them about their culture, life and aspirations - that feels like the most authentic way to familiarize oneself with a new place so a guesthouse sounded very nice.. I met with the owner, Lek, who checked me in. From our first meeting, I had a nice warm feeling from her. Right away, she advised me which shop to go to ("don't buy anything there - it's too expensive; I'll take you to a cheaper store"), how to entertain myself during my stay and little by little we started hanging out together. I felt so ... at home with her. As if I was visiting my lovely cousin whom I haven't seen in a very, very long time... And I wasn't the only one: she was always eager (and happy!) to help whoever needed her help. Her guesthouse was fully booked during my entire stay, so when customers came looking for a room, she was eager to help them find a room elsewhere (sometimes even driving them to other places on her scooter and find more affordable rooms: "this hotel is no good - rooms are too expensive"). Since I was traveling alone, Lek invited me to go to the festival with her family, and we had lots of fun. We were shopping together, eating together, playing with kids and basically spending all off-beach time together, and I felt like part of her big happy family. Outstanding guesthouse, wonderful staff.”
My buddy and I originally booked three nights at the Pineapple and liked it so much we extended the stay 4 more nights. It is located off of a side street off of one of the main arteries in Karon and about a 10 min easy walk to the beach. A little bit noisy, but not too bad and not an issue at night. At first you may be taken back by the location, but it actually is just great. It's surrounded by restaurants, massage places, shops and just about anything else you need. Also right next to an ATM and within crawling distance to a 7-11. Motorbike rental is available right on the property. Our rooms were spacious, clean and up-to-date with good aircon, showers and wifi. The price was very inexpensive in the high teens USD. The big plus is the staff. What wonderful people. From the owner Steve a British dude to the husband and wife managers to the cleaning staff, everyone was welcoming, smiling, helpful and fun. We really enjoyed our stay at The Pineapple and would highly, highly recommend it to anyone looking for less expensive digs and a great experience. Thanks Pineapple for a great stay. - Ken and Jeff

Great deal, especially for Phuket”
The lady who runs this guesthouse was amazing. She greeted us with a smile, showed us to our room, and showed everything in the room (made sure we knew how to use the safe in the room correctly). The room was huge with a great balcony. She helped us book our ferry ride over to Koh Phi Phi without any issues. The guesthouse is centrally located, just a 5 minute walk to the beach. Even though Karon Beach isn't where all the partying is in Phuket, it is quite busy. Our cab driver told us it was the cheapest place on the island. Overall, enjoyed our stay here very much and was very cheap for Phuket!

Lovely Guesthouse!”
We enjoyed a lovely stay at Pineapple Guesthouse. The location is excellent, less than 5 minutes walk to the beach, shops & restaurants. The hotel will let you rent beach towels and snorkel gear etc for free. The guesthouse is really clean. The maids are ready and waiting every morning when you leave your room to clean it which is great. The staff are really friendly and always there to help. Karon beach is a lovely area for people looking for something quieter than patong beach but still wanting a good selection of restaurants/shopping. We walked to Kata too (20mins) which had even more shops & restaurants but the beach was not as nice as Karon beach in our opinion.

Pineapple guesthouse delight”
We had a great time at pineapple. The staff were friendly and helpful and very welcoming to our children. Our room was great with a balcony and staff cleaned it every day. Location close to the action but set back from the main road on a quiet lane. Great value for money. Our kids had a great time playing with their kids. Would definitely recommend pineapple guesthouse.

Great location at a fair price!”
Pineapple Guesthouse is a real diamond in the rough. Our room was simple, but had everything we needed and was clean. The safe didn't work so we were given a locker in the lobby. The breakfasts were filling and reasonably priced. The walk down to the beach was short with lots to see along the way.

I would highly recommend staying at Pineapple guesthouse. Not only were Steve and Sih extremely helpful and informative with setting things up for us. They even helped us find accommodation elsewhere the second time we arrived without a reservation. It's a fun and friendly atmosphere. As long as you aren't expecting a resort, I just can't say enough about Pineapple!

Great Karon guesthouse!”
I had a great stay at the pineapple guest house! The owners were very friendly and helpful with suggestions, they had beach towels and matts to lend for the day which was very useful and were more then willing to help with anything needed! The room was big, comfortable and clean! I stayed for two nights and would of extended my stay if they weren't full. Because they were full they helped me find another guesthouse down the road, which was very helpful! The beach was a 5-10 min walk with tons of shops and restaurants nearby. Would recommend this place to anyone looking for a nice, budget friendly guesthouse by the beach!

Perfect budet accommadation”
The rooms are big and clean, they are cleaned every day to a very high standard and your washing is done in the morning and returned in the afternoon. The food and drink prices are much cheaper than anywhere else near by, as prices in this part of Karon can be a little OTT for what you get. The management are very, very helpful and chatty, in fact, we had no where to stay on our last night as it was booked up and Steve, the manager, found us a another room close by and walked us down there after out day trip to Phi Phi!! There is space outside to sit and drink and chat with other guests and you are very close to the beach. You can also get a speacial pass for a day resort at a very discounted rate from the hostel, if you fancy a day poolside. Althouh basic this place is welcoming and friendly and I would thoroughly recommend it!! Well worth a stay if you are in karon.

Simple but incredibly pleasant guesthouse!”
steve & his staff were very flexible as i (inevitably) changed some of my plans. had killer food there every morning, including wonderful massages every night (think $15-18 including tip for 60-90 minutes of hot oil & thai massage!). comfy beds, lots of dorm rooms, wifi was a little wonky at times but hard-line pc available 24/7. great recommendations on the area; will absolutely stay here the next time i'm in the area. thanks to the pineapple staff for making my time in phuket even more amazing than i could have hoped for!

Perfect budget accommodation! ”
This is the 3rd time I've stayed at Pineapple Guest House and it won't be my last! The rooms are spotlessly clean with ice cold air con and nice hot shower. WiFi is steady and strong! Less than a 10 minute walk to Karon Beach and nightly food market just around the corner... the perfect place for the perfect stay. Highly Recommended!

Friendly staff and good location”
The owners are amazing - Steve and Nek. They are a married couple and were very welcoming and made sure me and my friends were catered for in every aspect. The food they serve is delicious - especially the breakfast. If you want a proper English breakfast then this is the place to go! It is only a 3 minute walk to Karon beach or a 20 minute walk to Kata beach. Both beaches are beautiful but I think that it is worth the walk to Kata beach as it is bigger and a bit nicer. There are also many nice bars and restaurants within a 5 minute walk. The rooms are big and clean with a nice balcony and view of the mountains. Very basic but it has everything you need and fresh drinking water is provided daily. I can't stress how much the family are helpful and caring. They really make sure you are looked after and have a good time. I recommend this place for anybody wanting decent and cheap accommodation. I will definitely be staying here next time I am in Phuket!

Perfect for the Price”
We had an incredible stay. Steve and his staff (especially Sai) were absolutely wonderful and helpful with anything we needed. Walk 5-10 minutes to Karon Beach and 15-20 minutes to Kata beach. Rooms were very clean, and cleaning staff came through every day. Food was very good as well downstairs in the restaurant. We highly recommend this guesthouse and would not even think twice about staying there again.

Nice hotel near Karon Beach”
this hotel is located in karon beach. eventhough it's a bit far from the real happening place in phuket which is patong beach, i feel it's still ok for me and my friend. the owner really helpful esp to avoid being scammed by the well-known thai street scammers. u can ask the owner first before going everywhere, she may also offer u a ride (with her toyota vios) with reasonable price, so no need to be afraid of being scammed.

Wonderful Stay & wonderful Hosts”
This was a great guesthouse run by the owners Lek & Steve. Karon beach is only 5 mins walk and is a beautiful clean beach and good for sunsets. There are lots of restaurants and some street food very close. The breakfast & fresh shakes that Lek makes are so nice. Will definitely return when I'm back in Phuket.

A good inexpensive place”
This place is typical of many basic but good value guest houses in the 3 beaches area - inexpensive, comfortable, clean. What separates it is Brit Stephen who co-owns it with his Thai missus - Steve has a wealth of knowledge of the Phuket situation and communicates this well. My room was spacious and clean with quiet aircon, adequate storage and a comfy king size bed. The area was not particularly noisy (it is off the main road so traffic noise is not an issue) and had a big range of restaurants, banks, retailers and other services. A 24hour 7/11 minimart was about 100m away - there were dinner-time inexpensive food hawkers with the usual yummy stuff in front of the store. one fault with Pineapple was lack of a credit card facility which makes purchase of some of the more expensive tours more difficult. Other area travel stores could do this.

Great value Guesthouse”
Guest information - very helpful owners with good local area knowledge. Location - walking distance to the beach and close to locally priced eating ( shops and restaurants actually on the beach are very expensive, this guesthouse has good access to more reasonably priced shops etc. Clean - 1 of the cleanest guesthouses I've stayed in.

Nice place, nice owners”
The Pineapple Guesthouse is a lovely hostel run by a nice British guy and his wife who will happily assist you with everything you need. The dorm beds are basic, but good. The shower and toilet are in the room (of course behind closed doors), as is a big fridge where the travelers can put their stuff in. Wifi works just fine. 7Eleven and ATM is just around the corner, as is the beach and some nice bars. I also met lovely people staying there - really enjoyed my stay and would definitely come back!

The owners of this place are fantastic! They recommend things to do and help you with anything. They saved me a lot of money getting to phuket town by giving me info on catching the local bus. If I was in karon again I would definitely stay here.
