I stayed here for 1 night, booked for a dormitory but received an upgrade and the lady was really helpful. I asked where to eat "Pingyao beef", and they recommended me to buy "Guanyun" brand in supermarket instead of try it in any other restaurant. You'd better try that one. Actually the location is nice, but when you find it in the darkness, it could be a bit tricky to find from train station. once you exit from the train station KEEP moving on your left side. You'll find it anyways. It's relatively near to the Pingyao castle, so I could take a walk in the morning. You'd better visit the old town in the morning before 8am, or else you'll find more than thousands of people. I'll definitely come back this hostel for my next trip.

Amazing place, amazing hospitality!”
We stayed at the guesthouse for two nights on our way to Beijing. The owners were lovely , offering warm hospitality and great cooking! They went out if their way to make our stay in pingyao as pleasant and easy as possible. They provided directions from the train station and met us at the bus stop to guide us to the hotel. Our room was basic but spacious and clean . The food is very reasonably priced and delicious! We highly recommend staying here. It is a home away from home.

We immediately felt welcome in this small guest house, located just outside the old town (optimal to have a quiet evening after strolling through the Chinese Disneyland). They speak English and have good advice. They offered car transportation at a very decent price and made themselves available whenever convenient for us. Breakfast was good and filling, and we also had a very nice dinner there, at very honest prices. The kids loved the charming bedroom with a very large curtained bed that they could share. Thank you to the team for their smiling welcome!

Amazing little hotel a stone's throw from the old town”
Fantastic family business with gigantic beds. The proprietor designed and renovated the rooms herself. If you're a drinker, the family brew their own local wine (much much stronger than western wine!) And vinegar. Breakfast is very affordable. A very kind bunch who accommodated in several ways. Would DEFINITELY be coming back here if I return to Pingyao

One of the best stay in China. Staffs were so friendly and helpful. I booked 6bed dorm room, but they let me stay at twin bed room. Good location, only 3 min away from Ancient wall by walk. Good place with good price. And lovely staff. highly recommend

Nice place but AC wasn't working in my room. Still ok tough, there were several windows and it wasn't too hot. I was in a double room but was alone during the 1st night so that was nice. The staff is friendly and helpful. Hard to beat for the price

The place is running by a family. The owner is very fast on giving directions and answering my emails. There is an open and inside area to hangout. The toilet is big and shower is amazing. Easy to reach from train station by walking or a bus from the Fast trains station.

This hostel is a perfect choice for backpackers, very conveniently located just outside the Noth Gate of the Ancient Town. The staff is very kind and helpful, and speaks English. The dorms are spacious and pretty clean. Pleasant atmosphere and great value for money!

We had an amazing stay.The room was a great size, the shower was nice and hot and the location was a 5 minute walk to the ancient town. The hosts speak really good English and are so friendly and helpful. They cook the most delicious dinner, the best we've had travelling around China. We also really enjoyed chatting at dinner. I would absolutely recommend you stay here!
