value for money”
The upkeep of rooms can be improved....Hand TOWELS as a policy are NOT provided inn the hotel....thoug you may ask and they may make alternative arrangements....Bathroom drain was clogged and had to remind the housekeeping to fix it....Cigarette smoke entered my bathroom from vents of other rooms I guess...there is NO policy on NOT smoking in rooms or bath rooms....Swimming pool was DRY and NON FUNCTIONAL......Only vantage is proximity to Airport and noise free even though it is next to airport..
The location is great. It's beside city center and accessible to transport either bus or taxi. We booked for a business class room and it was big and cheap for its price. The room looks clean and tidy but when i went to the bathroom I saw some small cockroach roaming around. Its not an issue though because the building is quite old. Staff is friendly and nice. The food is ok. They are serving basic breakfast like hotdogs, egg, bread, fruits, cereal and some arabic food. For its price its acceptable.
staffs are rude. I made a request for a queen size bed because I will stay with my husband. but instead they did not even replied with my request which I made 2 weeks before my stay. so I stayed with my husband in a twin bed. my point is, they should have replied with my request if they can grant or not so that I will be aware. Rooms doesnt have refrigerator, and lightning is very poor. the main entrance is not working. for 3 days we stayed there, it was not fixed. very poor service😒
Place is in need of renovation
The staffs were polite and very reasonable when I asked for late check out.”
The Hotel location is just a block away to the City Center Mall. Highly recommended and I will stay at this Hotel again if I come back to Muscat.
Cleanliness & Internet ”
It's located near to airport and next to city centre shopping mall, that's the only positive about this hotel. The moment i picket the phone to call the reception to address the Internet, i realized this phone might have not been cleaned in ages, there were stains on the chair seats, internet speed was around 1mbps and coverage was very poor.
I think there is something that needs to be impeoved with the management system. If the management will find time to look into their current system and change what needs to be changed....and innovate,.this hotel could be one of the most sought after hotels in.the city primarily because of its great location....just a walking distance to the Mall and few minutes ride to the airport.
This is not worth with 4 star Hotel”
I was booked this hotel for 4 days from 20-24 Jan 2016 ! ..and I really unhappy to stay , not comfortable as all, they service also Poor , the room also dirty , small, Is not worth of the money I was paid !! And how they can upgrade they hotel to become 4 star ,this for my first time and ever and never to come back to support them again . so I not recommend to anyone to book and stay here !!
Good hotel near the airport”
The hotel is situated five minutes drive from the international airport and offers good sized rooms at a reasonable price. The staff gave a friendly service but the one and only one drawback was that the hotel does not have a licence to serve alcohol, so we drove to another hotel for drinks and dinner. Otherwise, we had no complaints whatsoever. Another plus point is that the hotel is situated two minutes walk from a large shopping mall.
Poor misleading hotel”
Not simplest facilities available, no iron, no shower blinds, broken toilets.. even for a cheap hotel it is really below standards. The audacity to put 4 stars next to the name is a disgrace. Awful, just awful. I really regret booking 3 nights in advance
Very bad service
it was very nice stay enjoyed the city and the location of hotel
Best thing about the hotel is its location next to the Muscat City Center Mall which is literally next door, just a short 5 minute walk away. The room was basic, but for the price paid I guess about to be expected. Absolutely no facilities to speak of (gym, functioning pool) and the wifi in the room was spotty at times. Staff were friendly and helpful
Very Bad Experience ”
Internet Not Working, Water at Tap was very dirty colour is gray and black. .You can't even take a bath. . Bedsheets are not cleaned..Breakfast was very bad. ..Not recommend for anyone. .even for a night. .
It was the worst treatment I received when I tried to cancel my last night on City Center Hotel in Muscat. I booked two connecting rooms for 6 nights at that hotel and I did not receive that, they put me in separate rooms. Moreover, in two days they did not clean my room. In addition, in one day the cleaner of the hotel was organizing their storage room at 01:00 AM, is good to highlight that the storage room was just next to our room. Further, due to a work emergency I had to leave one night in advance and I tried to cancel this last night with the hotel manager and he said that they could not refund me. Furthermore, I would like to add that this last night was weekend and, as the Hotel was full, they could easily pass my room to another future guess (if they did not do that regardless the cancellation). To sum up, this was the first time I stayed on City Center Hotel and this was the worst experience I have ever had with a hotel.
Check-in and billing chaos.”
I decided to break my trip back from Bangkok with an overnight stay at the City Centre airport hotel. It cost me £10 visa to enter Oman initially that I hadn't planned for. It was then 7 rials taxi fare (about £12) each way for a 5 minute trip. When I got to the hotel at 1030pm in evening, I thought I had prepaid £77 via Agoda. First of all the receptionist tried to charge me 77 rials by visa. After much debate this was reduced to 49 rials (as he didn't seem to understand 1 rial didn't equal £1. I still worked out I was paying around £90 at this rate and not the £77 Agoda had quoted me (plus international credit card fees!) When I checked out, the female receptionist told me I had already paid for my reservation, so would be refunded my 49 Rials... but she couldn't return it to my credit card, but instead returned the money in cash. I then lost out about another 15% by changing the money back to pounds at the airport. The hotel made no allowance for my out of pocket expenses, despite offering me a 'good rate' for next time! No chance! The key entry system to the room was also faulty, so I had to ask for maintenance to let me in to the room both times I left it. Shower water could be described as Tepid at best. The room itself was large, comfortable, fairly quiet and breakfast was ok. But I feel it was over-priced and the terrible admin/reception service i received and the over-priced taxi to/from hotel considering the short distance, made it very poor value for money. As an aside, I found many of the people I met in Oman very rude, unhelpful and greedy. The antithesis of the lovely Thai folk. I def will not visit Oman again in a hurry!
Not very suitable for families”
Short stay Front disk some staff needs training Long checkin time Room clean. Didn't find towels but we asked for them Restaurant not friendly at all During our stay there was a sport team everywhere which has almost ruined our stay due to their behavior in the place. We found parking although the number of parkings limited.
its was nice quiet stay.”
it was nice although i was out all the day cuz of business, my room was good quiet maybe cuz it was at the back side of the hotel. overall the hotel was nice clean maybe cuz its news only 2 yr old. no jem. swimming pool was normal didn't try it or the suna.
It was bad. First impression of the lobby and the rooms corridor was ok, but i was shocked with the cleanliness (dirtiness) of the room, peeling paint, and even boogers on the wall. Bed sheets were dusty and there was a blood stain on them. Breakfast next day was very un-inviting since the food looked stale and it didn't seem clean nor the breakfast staff seemed hygienic...
