Secluded from the rest of Phi Phi, which is nice if you want to be away from the partying. At the end of a long stretch of beach. The staff was amazing and made this stay worthwhile. We were picked up by the longboats to get to the hotel. The bathroom itself isn't that great but we had a nice room and balcony.
Great views and location!”
The resort is aptly located in South of Phi phi. its away from partying streets and nightlife, so you can have a good sleep without disturbance. The walk to town (to most eateries/clubs) is just 10-15 mins. The views are great , the food at the beachfront restaurant is great, and its a very family friendly place. The rooms can be a little walk up the hill, but that shouldn't be an inconvenience. The rooms are big, and the terrace and views from the terrace are amazing. 1 thing that was disappointing- They told us there will be a boat to the Ton Sai pier (for ferry to Phuket) in the morning, but we had to walk from the hotel to the pier (our luggage was taken by the hotel staff). The hotel staff should let the guests know the actual situation, so that we would know that it will be a 25 min walk to the pier instead of the boat ride. The staff can definitely be more hospitable.
Beautiful views at the cost of lots of walking”
Pros: Beautiful views. Clean rooms with room service. Access to smaller scenic beaches around property. Shuttles around property. At the very end of the beach so not a lot of people walking by Cons: While location is scenic it is a far walk into town to nightlife and restaurants. Approximately 3km walk to and from or 20 mins each way. Walk up and down hills across the beach then to the path which is a little sketchy at night. Then a long walk on the yellow path passing by "poop pond". We did this walk twice a day so 6km in total just to eat breakfast then again for dinner and nightlife. If doing this walk during the day by the time you get there you are a hot sweaty mess as Phi Phi is smoldering. Rooms: Bed is hard as a rock. Fridge is a bar fridge and does not get really cold. Restaurant: Your at the end of the beach far away from everything the cost of food and drinks is double that in town. Which gets pricey if you want to eat at Bayview or walk 3km for cheaper restaurants.
Excellent Resort but disapointing Pool”
We had an amazing view room with a King Size bed. The staff are awesome very friendly and always trying. We were disappointed with the pool and there was no massages. We also had to ask to have our room cleaned and she never cleaned the bathroom. Andy and Lori Rapp Kelowna, BC Canada
Can’t fault much of this place at all only that it’s a little walk (5 min) to the restaurants. Amazing views over the bay I got room A106. You could hear a pin drop in the evenings here very quiet for relaxing. Didn’t think I’d go back to Phi phi as it was my fourth time but would definitely go back to this place for two weeks R&R given the chance. Stayed 4 nights. Sick for one of the days but my bed had amazing view out the window which helped.
Super resort if you like walking”
As the title says for me I like have to walk a little to the central phi phi day/nightlife. It’s not a far walk about 10 mins but the quietness at night pays off for it when you return home. You could hear a pin drop it’s so quiet. I stayed on this island in 2006 and I was gob smacked at how this island has evolved over 12 years. McDonalds is now here! Back to the hotel review; we got picked up directly from the pier in a long tail boat for free, they had reps with the resort banners so look for them; rooms are excellent and particularly our room with the amazing view of phi phi lay it’s A106. Shower was good with the usual amenities, safe included and easy to use. Balcony’s are spacious enough and two other couples with us, joined our balcony for few beers. Breakfast was decent, wouldn’t say it was amazing. Eggs/Omelettes are made to order which is great as last place I stayed didn’t have this. Brown soda bread toasted was great, recommend that. Didn’t try coffee or tea as I brought my own Rooibos tea bags from home, knew they wouldn’t have them in Thailand. Bacon didn’t look great and one day they replaced bacon with onion rings, ha! Used laundry service just along the beach at the resort restaurant 60baht/kg, takes one day. They won’t send it to your room you need to pay in advance and pick up from them. Apart from that no problems. They also rent snorkels and fins for 100baht/day which can save you buying from the street vendors for 250 baht (don’t pay more than that unless your in a professional dive shop). Overall great place to stay just
Hidden paradise ”
If you are staying on Phi Phi island there is no better place to stay.... sure there are fancier hotels in the premium class but you won’t be able to access those by walk and you will end up isolated from the island.... bay view gives you the unique opportunity to be away from the busy center and yet in a walking distance with a beautiful beach... surely as any place there are advantages and disadvantages but we truly believe the disadvantage are insignificant. The staff especially Marvin is one of the best hotel managers I came across! He is very receptive and will try and help you with any questions you have. If we ever return to home Phi Phi this is the place we will stay.
Solid place, but could be better”
We stayed in a bungalow-type house containing 2 rooms with connecting doors, which worked because we had a group of 5. Terrace had a wonderful view of the water. The rooms were clean and everything is good enough, but nothing fancy or renovated. The walk to our room was a bit hilly and far, but we made do - hard to drag luggage down there though without the help of a golf cart. This hotel is the furthest from town on this particular section of coast, which is good if you prefer a bit more quiet, but inconvenient for going into town for meals. The restaurant at the hotel is mediocre and overpriced, and service is slow - there are much better options in the town 15 min walk down the beach. We had no problems with our stay, everything was comfortable - but I think next time I might choose a place closer to town where there is probably more competitive pricing for boat tours and food, and bars as well at night. There seem to be many good options regardless.
Would not recommend it”
The bedroom itself is ok and pretty clean. The toilet however looks like it hasn’t been cleaned for a month and outside our front door there were broke glass and cutlery just laying about. The water both smells and taste horrible. Even if you’re just taking a shower and not drinking the water (obviously) you still get some on your lips and the taste is just awful. Breakfast was very basic and even when we arrived when it just opened the eggs and pancakes were already cold. Staff was friendly.
Wonderful resort that's a little far off from the pier, about 15 - 20mins walk away. However they do provide free long tail boat to/fro pier on check-in/check-out days, just look out for their guy with the hotel sign, actually all the hotels provide free long tail shuttle so no need to call them beforehand. Read other reviews about people saying its a really long walk depending which room you book etc but totally not to worry, they also provide free shuttle to your room and my room was 5mins walk away with slight slopes from the reception. I guess the only people that will have problems are really old travelers that or folks with mobility issues. As for the pool its perfectly fine, again the people complaining and must be expecting 5* intl standards then they should book other hotels that cost 3 times more instead. It's clean, with enough lounge chairs around, a pool bar and adequate pool size for a nice dip. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here and was the highlight of our trip!
Picture perfect resort a walking distance away from the main nightlife”
The resort is on the less crowded side of Phi Phi. The staff was really friendly and the on-location restaurant offers a good menu. The hotel has a boat transfer from (or to) the pier if you decide to take the ferry to the islands. The pool has seen better days, but with picture-perfect beaches nearby it shouldn't be a problem. Overall a great experience.
Nice hotel but the most far from the pier”
Good: this hotel was nice, value for money. The in front beach just awesome! The setup all just the best and romantic. Cons: the most far property from the pier, if u got baby with you , im not prefer to stay here. As Phi Phi island only can by walk.
Worst reception staff ever”
Resort is very beautiful but the people working in the reception seems like they hate their job. It is a pitty that such a good resort loosing its charm because of these people. Rooms are nice, beach is beautiful, location is also good but rooms, sheets, towels are dirty.
Still a great place to stay”
My second time to stay here. Still a great location, beatiful, on the quite side, but still walking distance to centre. Only dissapointed to see the pool neglected with the surface tiles all loose and coming off.( It will be great if you can fix this ) Rooms are great with beatifull views. Will come back again.
Nice hotel with rude reception staff”
The hotel is really nice. The location, the beach, the view from the rooms, breakfast were really nice but the staff in the reception is unbelievably rude. They just respond your questions "Yes" or "No" in a pissed way without any smile or not even looking at your face. This place definitely needs staff who doesnt hate their jobs. Room, sheets and towels are a bit dirty . Water in the hotel is very bitter and salty and you definitely need to brush your teeth with bottled water and you shouldnt let any water in your mouth while having a shover.
Exist better for this price”
When we arrived to Phi Phi a men from the hotel wait us and he was very helpful- he brang our laggages to the hotel. Honestly when I got the key and we step to the room I was sad. On the photos looks much better, then the reality and now I know why it has a few images uploaded. It has oldish feeling like my grandma house. The walls are dirty, our antimosquito door was broken, and everything looks that overused. We didn't get hairdryer, and specially asked from the reception, but they said that it should be near the mirror. The hotel location is far from everything. I think this hotel is the last on the beach, and half way should go on the beach. With the laggages it is a problem. I think there are many little houses and the staffs can't concentrate for each that's why one better then the oder. We booked 4 night but we stayed 1. We are very dissapointed and we don't recommend for this price. The name is Bayview Premium Resort but it is not Premium...maybe Bayview Basic Resort.
Best resort around , great location amongst resorts with private beach . 15 min walking to long beach . And 10 min walk to main party areas and all the happening areas of town . Great rooms and great cafe and room service . 10/10
scenic, convenient, mid range”
Pros: sea view cottages peaceful compared to popular crowded locations, yet walkable to all reqd places Cons... High gradient slope n no direct road access means luggage has to be hauled Typical Thai warmth & friendliness lacking in staff
Awesome view from balcony!”
Such a waste that we only stayed here for one night as we were given a room that was strategically placed with awesome breathtaking views! Will definitely come back though not sure if we will be given the same room as other rooms will definitely have different views from the balcony. Need to walk for about 10-15 mins for food. Nice resort for couples.
