location superb. Staff is friendly. Especially Shan Lin, who is v helpful, patient, always communicate with a smile. His professional and well versed in his work make our stay in the hotel a very happy one. We also do enjoy the Chinese opera in the hotel, recommended by Shan Lin too, it help us understand the Chinese culture even more. Hope b able to back in Beijing in the future and definitely stay in this hotel again.
Clear , good service
Very traditional style but very clean. The hotel is a little walking distance from subway but a nice area.
Staff is very helpful and friendly”
When I arrived at the hotel, I was not comfortable with the assigned room because it was at the end of a hallway with a door open to a public stairway. Ms. Na Li who works at the front desk immediately showed me another room and arranged a transfer to a better location/ floor (of course, with an added fee). I truly appreciate her help. My room is cleaned well every day. Staff are very responsive to my requests. Fitness facility is accessible and I can find suitable equipment to exercise. This hotel is in an excellent location and filled with international and domestic guests.
locality no good, away from everything, front staff were not helpful as were walting to check in, they kept ignoring us and kept serving chinese guests till we asked to see the manager. overall will not prefer this property to anyone
A good hotel”
As the first stop on our month-long trip in China, we chose this comfortable hotel, a little higher in the luxury scale that we usually go for. We needed to acclimatize ourselves. It's not very near the tourist sights: about a half-hour walk from the wonderful Temple of Heaven. But it was only a ten-minute walk to the subway, past some nice little restaurants, and taxis are readily available. The breakfast buffet in the hotel was the best we had in the whole month. And the staff was friendly and professional.
Nice hotel, great for families”
Traveled with wife and two kids ages 11& 4. Needed find a hotel close to the Halal restaurants. This hotel is about half an hour walking ( 2 blocks) to the Niujie street & mosque where many halal restaurants are present. The hotel itself is clean. Booked a standard twin room with was spacious enough to the 4 of us. beds could comfortably accommodate us, clean linen, bathroom was clean. Rooms had a fridge, complimentary tea and water. Staff at reception are very helpful and provide you with free city maps if needed. Hotel offers optional breakfast ( at added cost) which we did not take
Review of the Qianmen Jianguo Hotel Beijing (November 2018)”
The hotel is very nice, located in an older part of Beijing, which I like very much. The hotel staff is very helpful, there is a subway stop (Hufangqiao) around the corner and, opposite of the hotel, convenience stores that are open 24 hours a day. The price is absolutely reasonable. The hotel features a Beijing Opera stage where scenes from famous operas are played on several days of the week. I have stayed in this hotel already several times. I can highly recommend it.
Overall is good , loction was convenience with public transportation.
Decent but slightly expensive”
Single room is a little small. Location and cleanliness are good.
Friendly staff. ”
The male staff at check in counter was kind and patience. There was no air con in room, may be its April. It's a bit too warm.
in an average point”
the staff can't speak English
The hotel is at a great location and feels like a 4 star. It has very good breakfast selection that runs until 10am. Fitness facility is ok but access to it isn't very good as it opens at 9am (hence you're unable to work out before breakfast). Overall, we'd stay in this hotel again for the price we've paid.
Great location....good value”
It was a very nice hotel. Nice sized rooms...good price. Subway station within a 5 minute walk and the area felt very safe and walkable. They offered an excellent breakfast. The front desk was very helpful. All in all, I'd stay there again, and I would recommend the hotel to friends.
Good value...Nice location”
It was a very nice hotel. Nice sized rooms...good price. The subway station was a quick 5 minute walk and the area felt very safe and is very walkable. There are some nice restaurants and food stores close by. The hotel offered an excellent breakfast. The front desk was very helpful. I'd certainly stay there again, and I would recommend the hotel to friends.
Excellent Staff ”
We arrived at 8am and one of the receptionists, Li Na, was absolutely helpful. We came at 8 am and asked if there is any room available, she said yes and put us straight away. Also after overnight flight, we asked whether we can move the breakfast on our check out day (since we are leaving at 5 am) to the arrival date and Li Na did not hesitate to give us the breakfast. On the same day, we needed to get an inter city train ticket. Since we can't speak mandarin, there is a young floor manager on duty that walked us to nearby train locket and helped us to purchase the tickets we needed. Without his help, it would be difficult for us to get what we wanted. Room is reasonable. Bathroom needs upgrade. Breakfast food, would be average. I've seen better breakfast food but I've also eaten breakfast from a hotel that is much worse for a 4 star hotel. Overall, good place to stay.
Good value for money”
The room was not fantastic, but nice and comfortable enough. It's very good value for money considering the price. Also, the hotel staff were nice enough to offer me a free Peking opera ticket (theatre is conveniently located within the hotel), which was a nice surprise. The hotel is also located fairly close to the Liulichang (an area showcasing paintings, antiques etc) which is an interesting area. Walking further along the hutongs, one will arrive at the Daishilan area, which is also extremely interesting for tourists.
Too Brief to really be of value. ”
I stayed at this hotel so briefly it is not possible to pass judgment. however, it was very pleasant night , quiet, clean and a grand room. the foyer area does not really reflect the quality of the rooms. PLEASE ADJUST THIS QUESTIONNAIRE FOR ALLOWING FOR NON EATING OTHERWISE ITS A LIE
Fantastic Tourist Hotel”
When I checked into the Qianmen, my room was not ready. The hotel upgraded my room, escorted me to the new accommodations, and provided me with complimentary tickets to the opera. If you wish to stay in a secure, friendly, hotel, the Quianmen Jianguo is the hotel for you!
The Peking Opera Hotel”
The Jianguo Qianmen Hotel is a great place to stay in Beijing. Try to get a room rate price that includes breakfast, which could well be the best value meal of the day. Rather than eat at the over-priced restaurant, try the small street corner restaurant that is some 5oo metres from the hotel on the same side of the road - turn left as you exit the foyer. Spend the money to see the Peking Opera. The singing might be unusual, but it is a part of Chinese history, and the acrobatics that are included are spectacular. The staff at the hotel are very helpful and the decor of the hotel is well worth a photo. A great place to stay in Beijing.
