Agoda to oszusci !.
Cheap and cheerful. Room could have been cleaner (old Costa sugar packets behind the bedside table etc) and furniture tatty and outdated but didn't spend a huge amount if time in the room so not too bad. Overcharged for spa facilities from what is advertised. Would stay again as cheap for what I wanted.
Lovely hotel everything you need nearby can’t ask for more ”
Honestly the hotel is lovely location excellent. Beach 5 minutes walk everything nearby. The only problem was not enough staff, breakfast was ok, dinner would not eat there many restaurants outside.
Great location but parking misleading as had to park in a car park next to the hotel which was £18 a day. Staff very friendly and helpful but room dated with no air con which in warm weather made it very stuffy when trying to sleep, a fan was provided but personally would prefer air con as one fan is not sufficient for keeping 3 people cool. Room was also inward facing so made it very dark as little natural light came in. Water pressure was an issue for showers, washing and cleaning teeth as it only trickled out. The breakfast buffet was nice. Was disappointed that WiFi is an extra cost in your room as you are only permitted 30 free minutes a day.
The worst ever experience. Please please font go to this hotel. ”
The bedding in our room was Filthy and hadn't been changed from the previous night. I've stayed a lot of hotels around the world I couldn't believe what I so. when I went to the manager to complain he looked at me like it was normal he told me it's a big hotel that's why the room wasn't cleaned properly. I've never had so much rubbish in my life. A lot of people were arguing with staff and had similar complaints . This your first time in my life I'm writing a review because I don't want anyone else to witness what I did.
ideal for a one night stay”
We found the hotel easily, but were a little disappointed to discover the only car parking was valet parking and there was an added cost of £18. The room was clean, well equipped and suited our needs. It would have been better if we could have been quoted an all inclusive price online, or at least made the cost of the extras clear. The staff were friendly and helpful, the breakfast room was light and airy with views into the gardens (but not to the sea). All in all good for a one night stay before we continued our journey
Lovely location within walking distance of the beach and town. Room was a bit of a walk so if you have mobility issues ask for a room close to the central area. Décor in need of a refurbishment but at 180 years old some things can be excused. Food mediocre.
Dated hotel with good looking of reception hall, dining room and outfit but dated facilitis in room, very unbalanced for customers. Car park next door is rip off, £18 overnight, should get discount for hotel guest
Stayed here for one night, excellent breakfast and good option for reasonable rate just outside town”
All good, just well worn and comfy
No other reason to stay here except excellent location”
Pros: excellent location, full breakfast buffet, beautiful garden. cons: rooms in desperate need of repair, leaking shower, ineffective exhaust , wallpaper pealing off the walls. Room had no air con so not a good choice for summer warm weather . Also expensive parking £18 per day. In brief five star for location , 1 star for room.
The room had no natural light, it was below road level, the room was not clean and the reception staff morning and night were rude and discourteous. (to both parties not just me!) The night manager actually saying that the room was described as it was online which of course is not correct. I told reception on checkout (same manager) that I would not be staying again and would tripadvise accordingly, the response was a shrug of the shoulders, quite appalling attitude. I wonder if the directors know how much business these people are losing them!
A beautiful hotel and the staff very helpful and friendly, a bit old fashioned in the decor but suits the hotel , lovely for a relaxing holiday, perfectly positioned for the centre of Bournemouth, we really enjoyed our stay
Review based on special offer price”
Picked up a super deal online where paid under £30 for an overnight stay. My recommendation and review is based on that price although I would have paid up to £60 for the experience that we had at this hotel but no more than that.
Ideal for a trip to the BIC”
Huge hotel with a warren of corridors and a room to suit each pocket. Ideal for a trip to the BIC, but sadly the bed was sooo uncomfortable i didn't sleep. All the facilities were there though and the room we were in was very quiet. The only downside is that parking is not included and bumped a cheap room up by £20 for teh night!
The last minute booking was good value for money in particular its location, however the room was Tiny and the view of the roof and ducting, and the noise from what I can only assume was extraction units was loud, we was unable to shut windows to stifle the noise as being so small the room was extremely hot.
Got a deal, Bargain ”
Got a really good last minute deal staying for one night in a double en-suite room including three course dinner & breakfast for £85. Room a little tierd but clean and had a sea view. Bathroom missing some essentials such as a shower cap and hand towel. The hotel charges £20 for parking but the car park down the road you can park for 24 hours for £4.50(not the one next to the hotel) Could not fault any of the staff all friendly & helpful.
A hotel opposite beach ”
The hotel is situated exactly opposite Bournemouth pier and Beach. Swimming Pool and other facilities are good. Very next day of our stay there was a problem with the lift and lift remain under Maintance all for next two days. But we could manage climbing three follies stairs but really not good experience for the old people. But o appreciate the staff particularly Juliana of Swimming Pool assistance, she took extra efforts to search my daughter ear ring and next day she succeeded and made my daughter happy. Thank Juliana. The hotel is very good and I recommend the stay there.
Friendly helpful staff”
No serious problems. We were accomodated in a suite when they had not received details of our booking online. Staff were, as I said, very friendly and helpful, but the management need to improve staff training.
Very good last minute value. Room in Shabby Chic”
The bed was very comfortable and we had ocean view with a small balcony. Even got internet access in the room from the lobby. staff was very friendly and especially the breakfast staff was very attentive. Very much liked the design of the room 245. Though, a bit noisy from next door (connection door) due to family with children. Overall a very enjoyable stay.
Wonderful hotel with very helpful staff”
we had our stay for our 37th Wedding Anniversary, the first room they gave us was not what we had expected. However, the receptionist was great she looked at other rooms for us and gave us the room we had hoped for with a great view of the Sea. The breakfast processes was the only let down, great on first day but didn't flow well on the 23nd with food not as hot as needed to be. in all though we really enjoyed our stay.
