Cheap but smelly”

Stayed just for a night, quick stay and early flight in morning so it was good value for that. As other reviews mention it has a smell, moldy smell. And visible mold in places, also A/C would stop blowing on its own, still on but not blowing..

Disastrous”

Is raining season during our visit to Yangon. And it rains in our room, what a disaster. I went down and complain, a guy behind the counter said 'so sorry' I request to move to another room and he said they're all occupied. So lucky we only have one night there

Left early - falsely advertised, poor facilities ”

The room sizes were hugely exaggerated. We booked a 33 metres squared room and got 11 metres squared. (They've corrected the sizes now) Day time receptionist generally obstructive and refused to let us speak to the Manager on the phone or to move us to a room which was still much smaller than the one advertised without further charge. In addition the room was poorly maintained and full of mosquitoes, door and window broken and bathroom door made a horrendously loud noise as it didn't fit properly. We complained to Agoda as the room and left - mostly due to the falsely advertised size of room - which they were aware of - but also following that the attitude of the day time receptionist. Plus points were breakfast and evening receptionist good. Will never stay there again. Don't go.

let me make it easy. "DON'T GO"”

First, the employees were so blunt that they could not speak English well. In addition, the room they originally provided was under construction. It was on the 7th floor, but the elevator was under construction as well. The second room I received was not under construction, but It had a stink and roaches. The inside of the room was more humid than in the hallway or outdoors. The roof top restaurant was also terrible. It was over an hour after breakfast time, but most of the menus were not available, and most of the food we had left without options was left out. ('Cheeseburger' was only the bun with cheese, not a patty or anything inside in it. and the fried rice was really salty with poured soy sauce.) I sincerely hope that this review will be reflected in your decision. DON'T GO.

Should have known better, wasted money”

I was looking for somewhere to stay in the city for at least a week and saw good rates here so I booked 2 nights to try first. The first 2 nights seemed to have everything needed, except for water coming down the walls and onto the carpet which was moldy. So i booked another week, straight after that, it all started, 1st the banging and drilling started as they were renovating, something at Agoda (all booking sites) needs to address in notifications. The internet became unusable, ended up having to buy wireless internet just to have something. Discovered the water pressure dropped at night and even had to wait 20 mins for hot water. They never cleaned the elevators for the whole week. They left a Dead flower in dirty water on my desk for a week, never changed it. No TV channels for westerners and bad picture quality. The windows were not secured properly and had gaps to let in Mosquitoes and lots of street noise. Sorry to the local staff, they were as helpful as they are trained to be and can't fault them, but Myanmar has to learn that just having overly helpful and friendly staff does not make up for bad accommodation done on the cheap. To top it all off, i became ill from the dampness seeping up through the carpet for sure. I can't even imagine staying in the rooms without windows, it would be hell. Once again, no reflection on the staff, they are just doing their job with the resources they have, i would hate to think of the abuse some foreigners could throw at them for bad rooms.

Advertises a hotel, but is actually a hostel i.e. not recommended for a solo traveller, hoping for some privacy.As evident, from owner, a "hotel' policy advocates the indiscriminate allocation of guests to rooms already occupied by another ,at the "discretion" of the management. If you value your privacy this "couple's "destination is not for you and don't be mislead by the "hotel' title that it admonishes.

Located in the center of China Town, this hotel is easy to go anywhere in the city. The room is clean and facilities are just enough for a budget travellers. The staff were very helpful.

Overall it's good to stay in this budget hotel. The only disappointment was they put too many items on the stairwells, which might block the way out when in emergency.

(+) Positives - Free breakfast was half decent - WiFi was okay (-) Negatives - Rooms smell like moth balls and have no windows so it always feels damp - Bathroom was not clean at all and needs an upgrade immediately - There's construction going on inside so the place is a mess - There's people checking in and out at all times (seemed really weird) - General cleanliness was just not there - No sound proofing in the rooms - there was an extremely loud group whilst we stayed there and we were woken up at the crack of dawn when they decided to blast loud music.

Not impressed & not suggested”

When check in, stay to twin room. When in the morning, call to move to standard room. The room had been changed, no coffee, no towel, no water. I m very mad and not impressed. Next time i will not come to stay anymore.

Facilities no good”

Stay this hotel 2 time was not impressed every time. When check in, stay in Twin room. When at 5 or 6 O'Clock, call to move to another room, standard room. On that time sleeping and very exhausted. When had been changed , in the room, no water, that just only one,and opening, no towel, and no coffee. I m very mad. I told with myself, next time i will not come here any more. It should be improved as above

Even though the staff was super nice, we got a room with no windows, stained carpet and sheets, and a very strong smell of mold. I got bit my mosquitos and in the last day we did find some kind of bug, it could be a bed bug, not sure. They have a rooftop restaurant, very convenient. Location is good, close to Chinatown.

Not to suggest”

The room was very little and I cannot say that it was dirty, but for sure it was not clean at all. The staff didn't woke up us rally morning to go to the bus station as we agreed... on the contrary, we woke them up!!! No service at all

Basic hotel”

Base on the reviews when I booked this hotel is newly renovated. But when the time we stayed there, we are given an old room and it smells bad. Don't know if it was the bedding or the carpet. Although we pay in promotion price, but for us, that's the worth of the room in regular price. Above all the negative comments, staffs are nice and accommodating.
