A pleasant accommodation.”
It feels like a guesthouse, but it's nice to have a private room. The location is also easy to find within 15 minutes from Kamakura Station, and there are nearby Wadazuka Station and Yuigahama Station, which are great for riding the Enoden. If you walk a little from the accommodation, you can see the beach, and it's a great place to walk along the beach road! There are two shower rooms, a sink, and a toilet on each floor, so it's not difficult to take a shower when you want to. The towels are also fluffy, and shampoo, conditioner, and body wash are all provided. Also, there is an air conditioner in the room, which is perfect for hot summers! The staff is also very friendly. They speak Korean well and are not bored to talk to. They also listen to inquiries well. I only slept in the room because I was walking around, but guests and staff were having fun in the common room, so if you're interested, you can join them! Staying at this accommodation made my Kamakura trip even more enjoyable. By the way, I'm a woman and stayed alone, but it was very comfortable. If you like Slam Dunk, come to Kamakura...
About the administrator”
Follow-up post to the manager The manager of this guesthouse is a man in his 30s who is fluent in English and Korean, and speaks some Chinese. As there are many Korean guests, he often speaks Korean in the living room. He is very knowledgeable about baseball and soccer and enjoys watching them. He often goes surfing with guests. He is always friendly and helpful when guests talk to him, and he goes out of his way to play with children guests and even teaches them how to surf. He also offers Korean language classes to guests. He works almost 24/7 while living on-site, and is always available to check in guests, even late at night or early in the morning. He also makes time for guests who want to talk or have a drink. Many regular guests come to this guesthouse just to see him and talk to him. Recently, he was seen rejecting a male guest who was bothering young female guests. He also received a call from a female guest who was being harassed at the beach, and he immediately went to help her. He has been seen taking care of drunk guests who passed out in the living room. He is always considerate of female guests and makes sure they feel safe. He listens to young guests' problems and stays up all night to talk to them. He is very attentive to the relationships between guests and always tries to make everyone comfortable. He would make a great host at a cabaret club, haha. However, because he is so busy, he may not be able to pay attention to every detail, such as cleaning. Some reviews on Agoda or Booking.com mention issues with cleanliness, but it's unfair to expect him to do everything by himself. He has to deal with unexpected problems and communicate with guests, so he doesn't have much time for cleaning. Guests should be understanding and accept that there may be some imperfections. Many guests may only use this guesthouse to sleep, but there are many dramas and fun experiences to be had here. It's a great place to stay.
For those considering accommodation,”
I am a frequent guest who often stays at this accommodation. I am posting this as a reference for those who are considering staying here, including a follow-up to the manager. [About the facility] Located a 13-minute walk from Kamakura Station, a 5-minute walk from Wadazuka Station, and a 2-minute walk from the sea. You can take a shower on the terrace after returning from swimming in the sea. All rooms are private, and the toilet and bath are shared. The living room and terrace are shared spaces, and the manager and guests often chat there. Many regular guests come to stay because they want to talk to the manager. First-time visitors can also feel free to join in. The soundproofing is slightly weak, so it is recommended that those who are sensitive to noise bring earplugs. Please clean the toilet and bath to some extent after use so that the next person can use them. It is impossible to keep them clean at all times because they are shared. If there are any problems with cleanliness, please tell the manager, and they will clean it up immediately.
Recommended and safe for solo female travelers!”
It was my first time staying at a guesthouse instead of a hotel or ryokan, and I was a little nervous when I first arrived. However, when I returned from my evening walk, Maosan, one of the staff members, and other guests invited me to have dinner with them in the living room, and I was able to quickly become comfortable with everyone! The shower room, restroom, and washroom were all clean and very comfortable. It felt like a second home with a sense of security! Moreover, it's only a 5-minute walk to Yuigahama Beach, so you can easily enjoy a leisurely walk by the sea at night. It's a recommended guesthouse for groups, couples, and solo travelers alike!
今回は宿泊ありがとうございました! レビューもしてもらえてとても嬉しいです。 なるべく入った時緊張させないゲストハウスを目指します。 洗面所清潔を保ててない時あるんで頑張ります。
Loved my stay here- friendly and kind host, nice private rooms, great location close to the beach and transpo.”
Had a lovely stay here. Room was clean and comfy, not too small. Never had to wait to use the bathroom/toilet. Close to nice restaurants, train station, and the beach!! The owner is really nice and friendly, and he speaks 1000 languages hahaha. This place had such a chill vibe that’s a nice change from the usual Japanese hotels. Just remember that apart from your room, everything is a shared space so be mindful, and understand that some areas may be a little messy at times. Would definitely book again when I’m back at Kamakura.
