The room itself was cute — not the fanciest, but it was clean, spacious, and the bed was so comfortable. After running around Vegas all day (and night!), we slept like babies. I will say some parts of the hotel do look a little dated — don’t expect brand-new glam everywhere — but it still felt good for the money we spent. We didn't mind because we came to make memories, not inspect paint chips! The vibe at Planet Hollywood is lively, but not too wild. Perfect for a younger Black couple like us who wanted some energy but didn’t want to feel like we were stuck at a college party either. The music, the crowd, the casino... it had flavor. I felt comfortable, seen, and like we could really enjoy ourselves without feeling out of place. Budget-wise, we made it work. We didn’t spend crazy money eating at the hotel — Dave’s Hot Chicken was so clutch for a good, flavorful meal that didn’t have us feeling robbed. And when we needed something quick and simple, Subway right inside Miracle Mile got the job done without the Vegas upcharge. The pool was actually nice too — clean and had a good vibe — but I didn’t really care for the pool hours. It closed earlier than I would’ve liked, especially after long days exploring the city when we just wanted a late-night swim. Also, they really could use more working kiosks and elevators — there were times we were waiting longer than we should have just to get upstairs or check in.
