Peaceful, relaxing, happy, well-cared for”
Excellent. It was a short stay of two nights while relatives and friends were visited nearby. It was accessible to all manner of transport, and the staff and summoned taxi drivers were all friendly, with no hint of wanting more than to serve the customer at the fixed rates. I am very happy to recommend the Planta Centro Bacolod Hotel & Residences.
A decent 4-star hotel in Bacolod City”
When we arrived there by own car we had the opportunity to unload in front of the reception - a plus! The check-in went quick and problem-free. The reception was prepared - a plus! The staff was helpful carrying the luggage into the room and expleined the facilities- a plus! We went for a quick nite bite in the restaurant which is open 24 hours - a plus! The staff hang around quite a bit bored and served after request - average! We went to the room and found the A/C cannot be remote controlled, only manual - a minus! The matresses were in good shape - we slept deep - a plus! I was waked up by car traffic at around 6 am, trying to close a window that was already closed! Windows are not noise resistant - a minus! We took a shower, had hot/cold water, bathroom amenities were provided - a plus! We went to breakfast which offered a very good choice and was delicious for little money (included) - a plus! We did not try the pool - but it looked promising to have a swim there - a plus! Overall the Planta Centro is a real 4-star-hotel and i can strongly recommend it. Its my first choice in Bacolod.
A homey place in Bacolod City”
Exceeded my expectations. :) I'm happy we chose Planta Centro. The place is clean, well maintained, not too many guests. The place looks old, but it has aged gracefully like it has a classic charm. There were guests complaining that the free breakfast should be good for 2. But later on, I thought the cost is practical. Its like paying 145 pesos for a meal of 2 adults. They give consideration to small children. Its better than to walk 1 block away for a fast food breakfast, plus their food is good in my opinion. Our vehicle is parked securely on their gated compound. They have security guards 24x7. I'd stay here again if ever we'll come back to Bacolod and highly recommend to anyone who's considering to stay here.
The best hotel in bacolod, accommodating staff”
i always stay here in planta centro everytime i have a business trip in bacolod. the proximity of the hotel to the mall and other establishments made me book here so often. i never tried any other hotel in the area since i stayed in planta centro.
Our favorite Bacolod hangout”
we visit bacolod regularly and try to stay at planta each time. the wait staff in the restaurant are pleasant and attentive. the food is pretty good (8 on a scale of 1-10). we get one daily buffet breakfast per room. the problem areas are the gym--equipment very much not in working order--and the function rooms lack sound proofing so that the whole dining area is drowned out by over zealous musicians and emcees. it's a good thing there's a decent family restaurant across the street (alice's recipes) where one can escape the obnoxious party noise levels. planta hotel is also a short taxi ride away from the lagoon, a central spot in town and good place to go for early morning walking/jogging.
Very comfortable ”
Planta was 1 of 4 hotels I stayed at in Bacolod. It wins! Big rooms, great aircon, big walk in shower with hot water. Nice plantation ambience with nice staff and service. I like the location with Gaisano mall nearby and bank and convenience store across the street. Lots of weddings and events for Christmas and it was fun to see everyone dressed up and it has the right look for all that. U do get one breakfast at the ok buffet in the morning. The omelette chef should stay at his station and other than the need for a touch up, I think
Excellent hotel for the price paid”
upon arriving, the hotel already looks different from the usual hotels which are building types. it looks like a resort type of hotel and new (three years?). the lobby maybe small but homey and the staircase reminds me of those big houses which you see in the movies. the staff are helpful, courteous and ever smiling. when we checked in , we were given a room where you have a view of the roof but when we requested if we could be transferred to a room with a better view, they readily accomodated our request and was transferred to another room with a better view. the room was bigger and clean and was comparable to those in manila. the location is excellent which is on the main road near a mall and a jeepney ride to everywhere. nice restaurants and are nearby. definitely, we will stay in the same hotel should we be in bacolod city again.
Old hotel with only one towel”
i was happy with planta centro because of their bathroom amenities. they had toothbrush, comb and shower cap which i thought was not typical in 3- or 4-star hotels. but i was really frustrated when i saw only one towel! they did not even have any face or hand towel. i don't understand why they are saving on towels when they did not have a lot of guests that night. i've read reviews about the lack of towels here but i never thought it was this bad. i'm starting to think that it's their standard of only putting one towel in every room, even if you booked for two people. also, the bedside lamp was not working and the air conditioning felt warm even at its coldest setting. i do not complain to the staff. i complain in silence because not only i am extremely shy, but i also think that it is the responsibility of the hotel to make their rooms feel good to stay in. another plus point is they had slippers. my friends were complaining on how thin and small they were, but to me it was fine. at least they were thoughtful enough to provide slippers for guests. the hotel was fine overall, no other ugly incidents happened. the receptionist immediately corrected an error she made - she asked me for a down payment (which i initially thought was a deposit for incidentals) when i booked through agoda. the guards were really friendly and helpful in calling a cab. the hotel is not pricey and a more affordable option than l fisher, but it's old. it was okay for me, but my friends kept complaining about it. and again, they only seem to have one towel per room.
Worth it! ”
If I'd go back to Bacolod, I'd definitely stay in this hotel again. The location is very good, with Merci and Bongbong's across the road, some local inasal store and Chicken House. The gym is functional, the pool is safe (only 5ft deep) and the all the staff are really friendly especially the one's in breakfast buffet. One downside though, our room number was given by the receptionist to a male friend who's not supposed to know it, without asking for our permission. I somehow felt that our privacy (we are 2 female) was compromised. And we charged P250 for each therapist when we called a home service massage. Other than that, it was a very good stay.
excellent hotel. i would rate as #2 in bacolod”
we also stayed in the l' fisher hotel and sugerland hotel. i rate the planta as a close second to the l'fisher in only that the planta offered only one complimentry breakfast, instead of the normal two guest breakfast. perhaps this was a cost savings decision by the hotel, but it was very poorly received and embarassing to my wife. in contrast, l'fisher offers a complimentry breakfast for both guests. anyway, you can't go wrong with the planta, and its within a block of the mall, and across the street from a safe atm machine, as well as other restruants and shops. security is great, and there is a reliable shuttle to the airport for p800 pesos. overall, very clean, friendly, and popular with the locals for weddings, and family events. we should have taken advantage of the wonderful swimming pool that was also available.
One night at Planta Centro”
It turned out there was a prom being held on the night we stayed at Planta Centro. The students were noisy. We didn't mind it at first since they were understandably having a good time. However, my husband was sick and we were looking at an early day ahead. We called up the front desk to complain about the noise. We were pleased that the staff acted on it right away. Had a good night's rest Breakfast was nothing special. We were surprised though that for a room with two guests, they only provided free breakfast for ONE.
A big hotel”
I liked my vacation in Bacolod particularly when i stayed in Planta Centro. Its near the two main offices for "pasalubongs" (i.e. Bongbongs and another one). Its near a small mall and a ride away from the Robinsons mall. Its also near a gimik area. And its near a Chicken inasal house known as Chicken bacolod.
Nice new hotel with great customer services”
I travelled to Bacolod City for work, stayed at this hotel for 3 nights. The service was great, it's a nice new hotel. Breakfast was really nice, great variety of food. Pleasant stay overall. Unfortunately my room was next to a machine that made noise, but since my AC was turned on it faded the noise. You get more than your money's worth at this place.
Lovely hotel ”
My stay at Planta hotel was a memorable one. The accommodations was excellent! All the staff serve with a smiles , very courteous. Things I really liked, the location close to almost everything, the room that I got was so perfect for company, the breakfast was good just don't have enough selections but it was alright to me because I don't eat that much in the morning. To me I would highly recommend Planta hotel for those travelers from foreign land. The service was excellent too!
old style hotel”
Planta Centro offers the benefits of old hotels - bigger rooms especially. And it is very accessible. Main disadvantage not is room lightings is not conducive to working. Too dark.
Luxurious Looking Place That Fits the Budget”
This hotel is definitely one of the cleanest, most convenient and most accessible hotels in Bacolod City. we really recommend this for couple travelers, duo tourists, and families. Have a fun stay!
Pleasant and quite comfortable ”
My stay was very comfortable, staff was most courteous and housekeeping went out of their way to accommodate all our needs. Would definitely recommend this hotel to my friends. Shower was adequate, room was spacious and clean. All staff was very helpful and most pleasant, doorman (security) walked my wife and I across the street holding an umbrella over us while it was raining. This is just one of the good deeds provided by the staff, there are too many to list them all. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Planta and will return in the future.
Good location, good price”
I have not been in Bacolod for 17 years and Planta was a welcome treat. Staff was friendly, rooms were generally clean and the buffet was sumptous to say the least. Counter was a little small though to accommodate all the guests. There was also free wi-fi which was a good add-on. The restaurants near by have a certain unique quality too.
Excellent hotel, great location, great value”
the staff excelled, the place has class, the food is excellent, the location is perfect for south bacolod and gaisano mall, it's clean and new and everything works. great value for the money and we'd definitely go back and highly recommend it to anybody.
great experience ”
I enjoyed my stay in Planta Centro Hotel there is good ambiance and cold rooms when you going in. It is peaceful and quiet at night.
