Service Extraordinary”
What a treat to stay at the Kingsbury Residences, lovely furnishings, quality beds and high end bedding and towelling and exceptional service. We had a very late flight and were allowed to stay well into the afternoon. It made the world of difference to our last day in Colombo. We'd definitely stay here again. Also, a big advantage to have a washing machine and full kitchen when traveling for any length of time.

Group/family stay”
We stayed here for a night and the reason we booked this suite was because of its spacious rooms. I used this suite to get ready with my entire bridal retinue and family to get ready for my wedding. We were a total of 10 adults who comfortably got dressed here. I would recommend this place for anyone who is getting married and needs a place to get ready with comfort and space.

Great place, the food need some improving”
This place is great value for money if you travel in a group, we booked the three bedroom apartment and it was HUGE!!! Could easily sleep 6 people, more if you are willing to sleep on the sofa. The breakfast wasn't too great, food was quite dry, the same applies to the meal service provided. We ordered a traditional Sri Lankan fish dish, the fish was so dry I nearly choked.

A great space, especially for larger groups who want to enjoy the space under one roof that a hotel room cannot provide. The rooms were very comfortable, the bathrooms were clean and the kitchen was huge, but any appliances or cutlery needed had to be requested from the front desk (and delivery to the room wasn't always prompt).

Excessive price for poor service ”
The apartment is huge, modern and very nice - kitchen does not count with any saucepan or cooking utensils though! I would rather have a smaller apartment than such a high price There is construction work in the area so count with waking up around 6:30 am with the sound of the hammering. When we asked reception at 4th floor to help us with getting a taxi, they said they could only dial the number and put us on the line but we actually required help with explaining the location. they refused and sent us to the ground floor to the concierge who actually was the very nice man who helps with carrying the luggage and who only had the number of one taxi company - due to penury of fuel, there were no taxis available but thanks God we found other numbers of taxi companies and the concierge helped us. unbelievable that , at such price, the reception staff refuses to help us with taxi booking. Actually the first time in my life that a receptionist tells me they cannot help with taxi booking, its sent he felt it was degrading for him. The swimming pool is all tiny and with little water - there is so much noise of the street and the construction work that you anyway dont want to use it. I was very disappointed to send my parents and children to this place for their holiday and pay such a high price.

not complied with what i signed up for ”
1. I booked a 4 BR apartment solely with the purpose of bonding with my children sisters, sons & daughter in law from various countries . At the last minute in Sri Lanka I was informed in SL after my arrival that they had maintenance problems with 4 BR Apartment & we were given 2, 3 BR apartment. The whole purpose for us was to stay together which was not achieved from our objective & enjoyment 2. Secondly the pool which was part of the agreement was not provided due to maintenance & was offered Kingsbury hotel in another location with free shuttle service which we were not interested 3. there were lot of noise from a hotel or night club on the street below & we could not sleep 4. I arranged with the manager for extended checkout till 4 pm confirmed in writing My daughter in law who was there alone in the apt and the guys went & told her that she has to check out by 12 mid day. She was very upset & rang me 4. I also had a lot of trouble in negotiation for extra nigh

Bad choice ”
1- the ground was not clean 2- bugs in the bed 3- dirty water heater 5- one of the bathroom sink was not clean 6- very very annoying reception , called me more than 9 times for non urgent things 7- smelly corridors and elevator 8 - expensive, you can find better hotels 9- delay in check in and out , i spend more than 15 min in check out to check the rooms !! I don’t recommend this hotel to any one Thanks
