The only good option for a transit passenger at TPE with more than 8 hours between flights”
If you are looking for a clean basic room in which to rest and sleep while transferring directly between flights this is really your only option. Plaza Premium lounge has 12 rooms available, each with 2 twin beds and full private bath (shower). My room was clean, bed very comfortable, room had the usual hotel amenities. The room was very quiet even though it was adjacent to the full lounge. I had a 12 hour layover after a 14 hour flight from the US and this gave me a chance to shower and sleep before continuing on my next flight. Keep in mind though this facility is behind immigration/security and is in the departure gates area. In order to use it you must have your connecting flight boarding pass or able to get it from a transfer counter in Terminal 1 or 2. Any checked bags must be already tagged for transfer to your connecting flight and not just to TPE. If these requirements don’t fit you then probably best to get a room at the Airport Novotel or other hotel outside the airport.

A restful 9 hours at the Plaza Premium Lounge”
My wife and I had booked a room at the Plaza Premium Lounge to stay for a 9 hr layover we had for our trip to Vancouver. Excellent service clean and crowd were noise conscious. No one made any noise over the normal range everyone had going on which we appreciated. We were able to grab a shower an restful nap and snacks in between.

A MUST for long layovers”
The lounge room reservation included the all you can eat food. The room included two single size bed, a bathroom, a toilet and some entertainment. There is another door that sort of gives the guests another barrier against possible noise from the outside - other guests in the dining area. The room is clean and the linens and all are fresh and clean. Fresh and clean to the sight, to the smell and to the touch. The foods served gave ample choices of local delights. Just the right portion for the guest to be able to taste a bit of everything. The noodle bar prepares fresh dish upon order, same goes with the coffee. Guests can top off with cold beers before then doze off. Great value overall. Next layover? Will definitely be there again.

Expensive Stay with No Value for Money”
I was in Tao Yuan International Airport for a 22-hour transit and booked Plaza Premium Lounge for 1 night from Agoda. I was not aware that the lounge can only be booked for 12 hours, while my understanding of 1 night is equal to 1 day, just like any other regular hotel. I arrived at 12 p.m., but couldn't check in until 9 p.m. since my flight was 9 a.m. the following day. So, I was forced to wait in the airport with my old mother-in-law who had a bad feet and needed to sit in a wheelchair. When I asked the receptionist, she insisted that the lounge works on hourly basis, meaning if I would like to stay more than 12 hours, I needed to pay another extra 6000 NT. This detail was not disclosed in Agoda's website. I wouldn't recommend the lounge to other travelers. If you have a lay-over in Taipei for more than 10 hours, I suggested you to stay in a hotel outside of the airport other than roaming around the airport for hours like I did.

Food and drinks are included and available 24hrs/ day. The wifi is fast and rooms are quiet even when the lounge outside is busy. Everything is perfectly clean and very comfortable. Highly recommend.

Worth the money for a 12-hour layover”
Worth the money for a 12-hour layover. The location is perfect; since the airport is like a Mall, you have hours to shop around and retreat back to a private room without going through security (if you would stay at the usual airport hotels). The only thing I would like to bring to Management’s attention is the HVAC vent (in our assigned room, 9, at least) sfrom which some dust/micro fibers are visible. Filters need to be cleaned.

Easy place with kids for overnight transfer ”
Stayed with my 3 year old as we didn’t want to bother with immigration and going out to another hotel just to be back at the airport a few hours later. The room was spacious enough, but beds were rather small. I had a hard time sleeping due to airport noises but my daughter had no problem.

Lay-over Rest”
This is the best place to stay during a long lay-over. No need to clear immigration or customs or get outside transportation. Quite pricey though for just a few hours’ rest. Room is clean and beds are comfortable. There is a 24-hour buffet where food is good but with limited choices. For example, there were not enough fruits for breakfast. Over-all. our stay was pleasant and we were able to sleep well.

Exceptional service, very comfortable bed, beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean! I will stay whenever flying through Taiwan! If I were to comment less enthusiastically, it would be about the food - it was okay - not exceptional. Stay with confidence!

I was promised a 24 hr stay from Agoda. But the staff insisted that i only had 12 hours and they never book for more. I complained and I emailed Agoda, I unfortunately the timing was so limited to settle this and I had to check out. I was very disappointed with the service of the hotel. It was very noisy and they kept opening the door of my room as if to check if the room was empty or not. Really, if you dont have to stay here, dont!!

Staff will advise what is my best checkin time according to my next transit flight because maximum stay in room is 12hours. Good thing to have a rest before flight and shower. Able to grab food at any hour because it is running 24hr. As many have recommended, the beef noodle is great.

when booked it was not apparent that it was only a 12 hour room availability, this resulted in having many hours to wander around the airport before check in was allowed due to sensible check out time. An additional charge of USD$26 was required for a child to avail the buffet that was with minimal choices and extremely basic food. Only 2 small single beds for a family of 4.

Misinformed.”
I was told by the hotel I could get to it from terminal 2 even though my boarding pass was for terminal 1. I tried to get to it from terminal 2 and was denied access. Than I was told I could take a train to terminal 1 and than walk to the lounge in terminal 2 which would take another 20 to 30 minutes depending how fast you walk. I asked them to cancel as they misrepresented it to me and was told to work out with Agoda which of coarse gives no option for a refund. Great way of doing business by both entities. I travel often and many companies will work with you if there is an inconvenience issue but not this case. I will no longer work with either company in the future. Their are plenty of good hotels and booking companies out their that will work with you for your business.

We had a 23 hour layover in Taipei and needed a room. This room was one of best decisions on our vacaction. The room seemed sound proof. Extremely clean with the conveniences needed for a 24 hour stay. Connected to the lounge provided just enough food and drink for everyone. Would recommend these rooms to anyone needing a night of rest.
