Great location and the friendliest staff!”
Among all the resorts in Ngapali (I'd say there are about a dozen) the Pleasant View Resort has the best location since it is almost at the south end of the beach. So you are rather close to the small village but there is still one more resort hotel that separates you from the morning prayers around 5 in the AM. The hotel itself is absolutely wonderful and the rooms offer almost every comfort you need, the only thing we missed - as by then we kind of got used to it in Burma - was a kettle and coffee in the room. But instead at least we had a Thermos and tea. Our room was on the ground floor of a "Garden View" type villa but nevertheless we had a perfect view onto the ocean. Great local seafood restaurants are less then 5 minutes away, both on the beach as well as behind the hotel on the road. Minibar and services such as massage or boat rental are of course more expensive than if organized locally but still not outrageously expensive. For those who cannot relax without checking email the hotel even has wifi available near the reception area.

Jacob J.”
Pleasant View Resort lived fully up to its name. My girlfriend and I enjoyed 4 days at PVR. Lovely view, friendly personell (we got to check in 2 hours before check-in time, and they sat up a mosquito net within minutes after us asking them), a delicious breakfast, a fantastic looking infinity pool. When my girlfriend got sick and we had to go to the doctors, i would have hoped that they would arranged a cab instead of us waiting hours for the pickup van which was waiting at the airport. Instead of waiting it out we had to haggle with 2 drivers outside the street before we got there. But all in all a pleasant stay which made us fall in love with Ngapali. The Islet restaurant is a must when you stay here. Book table 1 if you're two people staying :)

Excellent! From the beach, to the pool, the food and the customer service! ”
Pleasant View is an excellent option to stay at Ngapali. First, it’s located on an area where the beach is not rocky. Second, you can get free bicycles to tour around town and check out the villages and restaurants. Third, the facilities! They are amazing; you can tell that the staff and management are into details. Fourth, the breakfast is to die for as it presents a wide variety of options (and the quality of the food is superb). Last but not least, the staff. They are always trying to make the stay pleasant and help in any way they can. Some one even comes at night to spray some mosquito repellent. I actually got sick and John from the Front Desk was kind enough to drive me to the clinic and stay with me in case I couldn’t understand the doctor. All in all, this has been a great experience and I would definitely visit again given the possibility!

Heavenly beach, lovely staff.”
Would've loved to have stayed longer, 4 days in this little paradise just not enough. Personally, at Ngapali beach I would love to see a low cost option for backpackers and budget travellers because the beach and many great dining options nearby are the attractions... not the hotel. Also an early morning visit to the village next door as they bring all the fish in and dry them on acres of netting is spectacular. Limited options meant we were left booking the only place available for our dates and we were very happy with the place. Strangely though, considering the whole beach was 'booked out' we wondered where all the people were. Very quiet and almost deserted along the beach, especially at the great eateries along the beach at night. One criticism of the slightly misleading room type; two storey deluxe implies we had the whole two stories for our group of 6; we didn't. It's a double storey building and there were people staying above. Still the beach front sea view is a very pleasant view indeed.

Perfect Location, Beautiful Beach!”
Pleasant View Resort has THE best location on the beach in Ngapali. The fishing village nearby is so much fun. The room itself was fine...nothing too special. It is definitely worth it to spend extra money on beach front rooms/bungalows. We were in a garden view room and wished we could move the whole time. The restaurant is pretty good, but the menu is limited. There is another hotel restaurant (same hotel) on a little island in front of the resort, with good seafood. Ngalapi beach is amazing, and Pleasant View is worth staying at just to be at the best part of the beach!

lovely beach getaway after intense sightseeing in ”
Located at the far end of Ngapali Beach PVR offered ocean view even from our "garden view" room. the beds were comfortable, room was spotless, shower had abundant hot water, and the beach is right there…. very enjoyable stay. restaurants along the road seemed more interesting than the hotel fare.

Stunningly beautiful makes for a perfect getaway”
Traveling with small kids is an excellent way to test the actual service level of a place and Pleasant View Resort stands out by Burmese service standards. Although their only cribbage bed was occupied they arranged an extra one within two hours. Small requests was met with a smile and prompt service. In additions the rooms are spacey with good showers and excellent housekeeping and the location beautifulsith its proximity to the fishing village and there are only a few metres away from nice seafood restaturants on the beach, including the hotel's own. The only setback was that the relatively slow wifi curiously worked everywhere outdoors, but not indoors.

Best overall place in Ngapali!”
This is a wonderful hotel you would expect to be much more expensive. The bungalows are spacious, beautiful, and right on the beach. The location at a quiet end of the beach cannot be beat even by hotels that are 4 times the price. I looked at a number of the high-end places in the middle of the beach and would not trade our room at Pleasant View for any of them

Relaxing beach hotel with island restaurant”
Great stay at the Pleasant View resort. Lovely setting on the beach next to fishing village. Lots of photo opportunities. Restaurant for lunch and dinner on an island accessed by a causeway. Sea food and fruit especially good. Staff attentive and helpful. 1st floor room was airy and cool with balcony in a newly completed block set back from the shore. Air conditioning in use over night not needed in the day time. No bed nets although breezy so mosquitos not a problem. Spa available for massages etc. We ate at a coule of local restaurants including the one on the beach just next door to the resort excellent grilled king prawns. Woken by chanting and loud music played from the early hours of the morning some days.

Perfect place to relax”
Great location with nice pool and direct access to beach and tanning beds. Plenty of good restaurant options (e.g. Two Brothers and Best One) within 15min walk away on the street. Booked a half-day boat tour with them too and service was great with multiple fishing and snorkeling stops. Staff is very attentive with multiple room servicing each day and made sure to call up the airlines to confirm our booking details before our flight. FYI provide the resort with your arrival / departure flights info so that they will pick up from / send off to the airport free of charge. Although the pricing itself is rather expensive, but compared to other (mostly more expensive) resorts around the beach, it's good value for money.

A pleasant view indeed and a great place too.”
It was a great place to relax. The beach was long and wide and had a beautiful fringe of palm trees hiding the hotels and resorts so it looked quite pristine still. Snorkeling and biking are easily available and welcome options when one feels like being a bit more active. The little restaurants right on the beach serve tasty and reasonably priced food too. The view from my room was definitely more than "pleasant", it was fantastic!

Way too expensive hotel...”
Hotel has excellent location and friendly staff. Rooms are big and clean (although there was quite nasty odour in my room all the time. I don't know the reason). But on mine opinion hotel is way too pricey in comparison with other similar ranking hotels in Myanmar. I spent some time in Bagan and Lake Inle hotels for 1/3 of the price of Pleasant View Resort and those hotels were even better! On the end - this (expensive) hotel absolutely needs some renovation!

A fantastic hotel in a great location”
We had an amazing stay here, it has the best location at the southern end of the beach near the fishing village. Although it was high season, the beach area felt less crowded than in other parts. The room/hut was almost on the beach and was very comfortable, excellent housekeeping and plenty of chairs, loungers etc., to relax. Breakfast was good with very friendly staff, the islet restaurant is fantastic, set out into the bay so great views, very romantic. Cannot recommend this hotel highly enough for a quiet and relaxing stay.

Lovely place”
I had a basic, twin room that overlooked the pool and garden. Every thing was clean and comfy. I loved the balcony but as it overlooked the pool, be prepared for pool noise. But who needs the pool with a wonderful beach a few steps away. The breakfast buffet had a nice selection of Asian and Western treats. I did not eat lunch or dinner and the resort as there were too many great choices on the roadside. The staff are accommodating and friendly. The ONLY problem came from construction noise across the road. Of course this is NOT the hotel’s fault but it did distract from the calm of the place. If I return, I would love to try one of their bungaloes.

Hope to return someday”
I had a wonderful break in this friendly resort. The room was spacious with wonderful views from the balcony. Staff were polite and efficient. Superb location on a safe bay with clear water for swimming. 2 restaurants in the hotel, one on an island, and close to local restuarant, bars and shops.

Beautiful Resort but........”
I booked this resort for beach front rooms for 2 nights. I have noted in my booking that we will be arriving late, finally we arrived at 2.00am, the reception who welcome us could not find my booking he run back and forth for 30 minutes even I shown him the confirmation. We so tried from travelling 16 hours from Yangon by car so I ask him if we could have a room to sleep and we can discuss tomorrow then he put us in the 2nd floor garden room next to reception which was very dark, the light came from only 2 light bulbs in the room. I asked him if there are more lights we can switch on. He told us this is the standard lighting. He did not even know how to switch on air condition. He told us he will call engineer to check the air condition but after he left we found the main control switches ourselves for lights, air-con and TV without any feedback from him. Next morning, they gave us a call at 8.00am to ask if we want to move to our original room which we have booked. Then we moved to big and nice room by the beach after breakfast but we have to call them twice for fixing the air condition during the day. As I have planed to leave at 5.00am next day I contact reception and ask if we could have a few pieces of bread and jam for our take away breakfast. After they checked with Chef, unbelievable the answer was "No" When I asked to see the General Manager, they said he was not available at the moment. They make appointment for me at 9.00pm. After I had a chat with him, nothing happened. Next day we left Ngapali very disappointed!!!

Glorious position but some notable problems.”
The location is marvellous and the views from the beachside rooms are stunning. However, these rooms are very "tired" and need some attention. Mouldy woodwork, curtains whose fittings are coming apart, very basic shower and worst of all, a cockroach that appeared out of the bathroom my first night, which was quickly dispatched. Modernise these rooms and they will be the best on Ngapali Beach.

Probably the best viewpoint on the beach”
The beach is spectacular The little semi detached bungalows are quite pleasant Breakfast is simple but quite good if you go for Asian sets In terms of service, difficult to judge as we were the very first guest of the season but all in all we had a splendid stay The killer feature is the restaurant on a small island just off the beach. Costa Rican Chef Does a mean ceviche and makes the most of glorious local seafood. The only thing is that one has a 50% chance of getting wet on the way back (tide), so, don't dress up for dinner.

Good Hotel for 3*”
The hotel is loсated almost at the end of the tourist area, but it doesn't affect the quality of the rest. Pleasant territory, it is on the good wide sand clean beach, nice big rooms wich are cleand twice a day. For breakfast the range is repeated daily, but the choice is always there. One fresh juce is offed daily. For lunch and dinner there are a lot of restaurants near the hotel or work along the beach towards the centre of tourist area on the shore and lots fish not expensive restaurants. I recommend this hotel. We liked it !
