With a quiet location next to a winery, Polgár offers accommodation with lots of character. Set in a rustic building, it features historical frescoes, an award-winning cellar and a pool. En-suite Rooms at Polgár Panzió are decorated with antique wooden furnishings and white-washed walls and equipped with cable TV channels. Very friendly stay at Villány an excellent choice”

Very friendly staff who ensures you feel yourself at home. The visit to the cellar with Zoli bácsi is a must. We had dinner after the cellar tour food is tasty, few options but all in good quality. Zoli bácsi was helpful to choose the wine for the meal. Room is spacious, breakfast is nice. I really enjoyed the location it is a bit far from the busy/vibrant area of Villány but complatly approachable by walk also it is more cosy at the Pension's terrace. Of course wines are nice and it is really worth to try them.

Decent option to visit Villany, but not for vegetarians”

Very good location, big selection of great vines, proximity of the vineyards, very good wifi. Some rooms are nice and cosy and some aren't - first we were given a depressing room with a very small cellar window, but fortunately we could change it.

No one speaks English good enough to communicate - it's problematic when it comes to vine tasting. Also there is no programme for vine degustation, which should be standard offer in such place. The breakfast is rather basic and the staff isn't interesting in replenishing the plates when empty. The smell of food inside is too intensive which affects the atmosphere. There is no choice of vegeterian dishes and the spontaneously fixed vegetarian meals are low quality (old, smelly grilled camambert, no substitute for an appetizer, which is only in meaty version etc.) In my opinion this place is too expensive for what it offers.
