The best Staff!”
Had a lovely stay at the Polo Orchid Resort. Lovely place, pity we only spent one night there! Definitely a place to spend at least 2 whole days at. Special shout to: Radium (Reception) & Sarah (Sohra House) - for going above and beyond with a special task (wife's birthday surprise); Mr. Budhi Sarmah - Bar Manager Extraordinaire (delicious Old Fashioned s); Pabitra Santra from housekeeping for doing up some very creative decorations at the last minute, Triliancy for a lovely breakfast experience and Lapyn - for the amazing photographs. As you can tell, the entire staff at Polo Orchid is amazing.

Checkin was smooth, Stay is good.. rooms are clean and hygienic. especially breakfast and dinner we enjoyed ourselves a lot. view from the restaurant is awesome 👍. At dinner time there was a bonfire where they serve drinks and mouth-watering starters with live music.

Wonderful place at an Excellent location ”
I had a wonderful relaxing stay with my wife and daughter in an excellent superior villa. The room was large & very clean with excellent washroom and separate living room with beautiful outdoor sitting place and personal pool. Pool was cleaned regularly but not temperature controlled. Restaurant served good food though during dinner service could be quicker. Breakfast spread was excellent overall wonderful experience at a most scenic location

Facilities Not as per depiction on the internet Site”
First night was in a room and for the second night I booked a log hut with swimming pool. Firstly, the size of the swimming pool was not more than a bath tub. Secondly dirty rain water was pouring into the pool from the roof top. Thirdly , the electric lights around the pool were not functional. On my compliant the staff tried to fix up the pouring in of water. Hence, We couldn't use the swimming pool. when we saw the pool in the morning the water in the swimming pool was full of dirt. It mean the pool was not meant for the guests to be used. On my complaint the staff over there tried to compensate by remitting the dinner charges approximately Rs 3500/-

The property on the whole is great.. the view to the falls, the pool is great. However the restaurant food was crap ! Maintenance of the property definitely needs to improve.. over priced and not so great food at the restaurant

Not worth for Money.”
Have booked the Standard Hut with Plunge pool but the room was so congested. Not worth for Money at all. The Heritage Club ,shillong is far better than this. The only best thing is the Swimming Pool, it was amazing. But except fr the pool....nothing else was gud. I felt a wastage of money. Just Hyped.

Overpriced but wonderful staff”
Booked the hotel for about 15k but the facilities and resort is worth 5-6k. Staff was awesome and very friendly. We also took couple spa which was also very nice and it was worth the money spent. 5 star to the staff specially cheerful and radium 🥂. Cheers!

Not worth your money”
The location is super; and thats the only good thing about this place. Don't expect an ounce of privacy from the staff. They walked in on us twice while changing. During the 4 days we stayed there; they tend to open the door with the extra key without knocking. Breakfast is usually included in the hotel price and is OK. Food seems to be expensive compared to the quality. None of the cuisines was that 'good'. We booked their log hut room with plunge pool. We had to call the housekeeping after checking in to clean the pool, it was really dirty. During our stay, never once did they change the sheet/towels. Our room had severe electrical issues, which made us stay in the room without power for one whole night. Then there was the issue with rodents. Every night we could hear sounds from the attic, which made sleep almost impossible. We endured our stay there painfully just because we had paid already and they were not ready to give us a refund.

Misleading photos, absolute waste of money”
- The plunge pool that they advertise in the hut is a joke, they have built potholes between two cottages that they call plunge pool. There are drainage pipes that go around the pool, and honestly standing there is no pleasure. Also, THERE IS NO HOT WATER SUPPLY TO THESE POOLS. - You can hear the conversations happening in cottages adjacent to you. They are way small. Agoda should ask them to publish the dimensions of the cottages. There is hardly a place to stand. They call it honeymoon cottage and justify with that. - During breakfast busy hours, you have to literally stand outside their kitchen to get yourself served. Our order for Dosa took at least 5 reminders before being served, in about 1 hour. - We asked for warm milk in the room for the baby at about 7:30 AM and were sent that in about 1.5 hours. The next morning, I decided to walk up to the restaurant and collect it myself. - Hotel staff are not helpful to the extent of being rude. - There is no difference between a standard hut and a hut with a private plunge pool.
