Me and my bf stayed here 4 nights and there were cockroaches everywhere in the room. When we went to sleep for the first night there was sand all over all of the beds in the room. They hadn't changed any of the sheets. When we went to ask for new sheets they just left spare ones in our room while we were gone and didn't actually change them. The a/c barely worked and it was hot most of the time. The entire room looked like it was throw together with loose furniture and really really bad wall mudding and painting. The bath tub was very dirty and the floor was also dirty.

Dated and unfriendly staff”
We used a third party for booking. Check is was a nightmare. One of of the three spoke English and finally acknowledged us after being rude to another guest for just booking and it's not showing up in their system yet. We finally got our keys. We chose an oceanfront king room with refrigerator and a couch but we got a non oceanfront king room with mini fridge and microwave. No coffee for the coffee pot. No cold water in the bathroom sink, 2 towel racks broken, no cover over the light in the bathroom exposing wires, no batteries in the remote and taking 24 hours to bring batteries to the room. The entire hotel smelled of weed which actually gave the place a sense of calmness to it lol. However, the shower pressure and location was awesome. This was a mother daughter trip and we didn't complain because when we tried expressing the room situation, they act like they do not know English. If you have lived in poverty and thilth (yes i mean living with roaches and black floors) ....this is the place for you. It's cheaper than most places in Myrtle Beach which is sad because most of us just want a nice clean vacation to not have to heal from.

The room looked like it hadn't been cleaned other than now sheets on the beds. There was hair in the tub. Some kind of sticky stuff on the floor. The patio door was very hard to open not to mention that the glass looked like it hadn't been cleaned in months. Very old, needs renovated.

Do not book”
This place was horrible. The staff was horrible. Cockroaches everywhere the bed was so broke down you were sleeping on the springs. Had to get our own towels. People sleeping in the stairwells. Flooded the whole downstairs. Not friendly at all. Had my elderly mother with me with two knee replacements in the elevator was broken more than it worked. Will never ever ever stay at the Polynesian again.

Ask for oceanfront 1st or second floor didn't get it but other people behind me did no shower curtain had to ask for towels and wash clothes. They do not do a good job at cleaning. Will never stay here again!!!!!

Old ”
This place is old and it appears there trying to update it some. The kitchen cabinets were new and they had some new vinal flooring in the kitchen area. The carpet was old, the dressers were old the TV reception was crappy. The bathroom tiles around the tub were old and different colors as 1 fell out they replaced it with a different color. Bathroom sink would back up during the night and the sink was full of crud in the morning. Maintenance came quickly when my smoke detector was beeping and replaced it, but the whole time I was there the room phone didn't work. Maintenance went to get me one the same time as smoke detector repair but never came back with one in four days.

Didn't get the view we expected ”
They gave us a room with a view of a brick wall and a door that would not shut. So we asked to switch rooms. The next one was half as large. But at least we could see some of the beach from the balcony that only 2 lawn chairs could fit on and the sliding door opened once the couldn't close. Also the tv was fuzzy, but we weren't there for tv so....

They charge extra money for stay that they don’t tell you about. Poor management of facility. Terrible trash smell all over facilities. Room service never shows until end of stay. Overall worst place to book or stay.

First let me say this hotel is horrible !!!! I’m a fair person when it comes to rating and reviews and when I tell you DO NOT BOOK HERE DO NOT BOOK HERE!!! I have photo proof of how bad this hotel is. Our very first room before we had to move had so many roaches it’s disgusting I turn on the over and place our pizza in there and a flock of roaches start coming out the top of the stove and at the same time my son was in the shower and he screamed because a roach was in the shower with him I’m beyond disgusted because we don’t live with bug and we should not vacation with them either. I called down to the front to notify them and she told me I had 1 of 2 options which were either let maintance come and spray the room ( which will have a swarm of roaches crawling around while we’re in there on top of the toxic fumes and I have children) Or option two which is to change the room. It was so late in the day I really wanted to just leave the hotel but our flight took off very early in the morning so we figure we just stay because we wouldn’t be able to get into another hotel as late as it was. They moved us to the fourth floor The toilet was broken and it was so muggy in the room everything was dampened the towels the sheets everything. To my surprise when we woke up just a few hours later to go get on our flight there was black mold all over the telephone there was black mold all over the balcony there was mold everywhere my kids are having trouble breathing right now because of this hotel. I told the women at the front desk about all of these problems and it seems as if they already knew they were not surprised at all. They also didn’t let me know that because I booked through another app they required a $100 cash deposit that they do not issue back until after 8:30 am.

Very run down, could use many upgrades. Room was basically ok. Until the cockroaches started coming out. So bad. My sister woke in the middle of the night with a roach on her face. When we complained at the desk, they denied that they had roaches, but finally agreed they would have maintenance come spray, they never did My sister ended up sleeping in the beach in a lounge chair she was so freaked out. The I woke up with a large roach on the wall above the bed. Besides this the light fixture between the beds was so filled with mold they didn't turned on. So disappointed.
