Amazing family and great hosts!”
My girlfriend and I stayed at Pondok for 2 nights and we have a fabulous time. The accommodation is perfect for the location with all the right amenities for staying ‘off grid’. I can’t speak highly enough about Wayan and his family. They made us feel so welcome for the moment we arrived and they became more like friends to us. The sunrise trek was also amazing and we were ably looked after by Adi who is also part of the extended family. The food on offer was also very tasty and cooked with amazing ingredients. I would highly recommend staying at Pondok. You won’t be disappointed!

Relaxing stay with good views and good people”
We really enjoyed staying at this lovely accommodation in the countryside, away from the traffic and heat. The family is so kind and warm-hearted. The place is located in an old crater, which you can see from the top of Gunung Batur. They helped us with everything: getting a guide to Gunung Batur, getting a scooter and transportation to our next location. The room and views were as in the pictures and they have a restaurant for guests. The last part of the road was in a bad shape and as part of being in the countryside during rainy season there are flies everywhere. Communication in English was a bit limited, but a nephew who speaks English was often around. We really recommend staying here.

I love this place, the staff are very kind. The place overall very clean. It is hard to get there, but it worth the ride as you can have a very calm place to stay out from the busy city live. Also very closed to the hotspring and if you like trekking also very close to the meeting point.

I always order fried rice for hotel breakfast but the fried rice here is really great. The owner also offered us a 20 minutes tracking to get beautiful view of mount batur, mount abang, and mount agung. The people were nice. No AC here but it doesn't matter cause the weather at night were alr cold.

I stayed here for three nights with my friend. Bli Radia, Mbok Ketut, the owners of Pondok Bali Cottage, were very helpful and warm. Our rooms were very clean and I especially liked the shower, which has a smoothed out central stone to stand on and is surrounded by other stones. The views are breathtaking and it's a great place to stay if you want to hike Mt Batur. The free breakfast was simple but delicious (eggs). My friend and I also had lunch here and and the food was great. Pura Segara Ulun Danu Batur, a Hindu Balinese temple, is approximately only 20 minutes away by scooter. There's no AC, but we found the weather was quite cool at night, so we didn't feel a longing for it. It's a little bit difficult to get to Pondok Bali Cottage as the hill incline can be steep, but it was part of the adventure and fun. You really feel like you're in a special place when you arrive. I'll definitely be coming back! Thanks to Bli Dedi also for your captivating storytelling along with the many people my friend and I met and ngobroled with. You made the experience extra special.

Zunächst war die Reise dorthin durch die Berge und Dörfer schon sehr schön, die letzten 200 Meter waren etwas holprig aber das verzeiht der Ausblick auf die Berge 100% Die Jungs und Mädels die dort arbeiten waren nicht nur typisch balinesisch freundlich sondern auch sehr sympathisch. Ich habe mich gerne unterhalten und vieles erfahren. Einfach unglaublich die Unterkunft, Ausblick usw. für das Geld. Wenn man Essen bestellt, kommt extra ein Koch+Köchin die alles frisch vor Ort zubereiten 🤩 es war super lecker und so viele Früchte hatte ich noch nie 🙈 Komme gerne wieder und werde es überall empfehlen 🫶
