great location, not far from beach, yet quiet.”
waited at the lobby for a while, no staff around, went for late lunch, came back again and still no one. had to call up the hotel number. in the end, the person-in-charge apologised and did not realise i was due to arrive (got the date wrong). unable to do a proper review due to all rooms were sold out (previous customers extended their stay), hence was moved to another establishment nearby under the same management and upgraded to a villa instead. another staff drove over to pick me up within 5 mins. of course no complaints on the bonus upgrade at all.

Great value for money, but a little far from the action”
We loved our stay at Porntherp Mansion. The room was spacious and clean. The beds were comfy, and the amenities were quite new. The only down side is that it is quite a ways from the city center and the beach. You have to walk a good 30 min to get to the beach, which is not so bad. There are still quite a few eateries around so it's fine for a few days.

Fantastic Value for Money ”
Excellent stay! We've been in Thailand for two months and this was the most comfortable bed yet. First, make sure to get a room with AC (which did an amazing job). Second, GET BREAKFAST. They partner with this adorable little coffee shop across the parking lot who gives you options of scrambled eggs, french toast, pancakes or yogurt with a drink option. Best breakfast we've had. Hint: get the mango smoothie. We adored the family who owned the hotel as well as the coffee shop. Very warm, welcoming and friendly. The little kids are cute as well. Internet worked well, there was a family mart nearby and a few (not many) places to grab food close. The only challenge was the location. When walking to the beach we found a shortcut through this side road. Not a great option, especially as it was really hot. I highly recommend renting a motor bike, which we rented from the hotel. Either that or chose excursions that pick you up at the hotel.

Affordable place to stay in Krabi”
The staff here really helpful and always ready to listen what you need. The location quite far from Ao Nang beach but it's okay for me as I can rent a scooter here with a low price. Wifi signal provided here is very good. Thanks for good hospitality during me and wife in Krabi.

Very helping and good nature owner”
Amazing stay !! Value for money ! Location was superb !! Best thing about the hotel is the owner family ! The owner couple was very helpful and sweet nature ! We checked in at 1:00 am , they kept the keys pn reception with the note ! We stayed there for 3 nights !! I recommend you this hotel if you want to stay in ao nang ! Indian family with young kid

Great Bed/Hotel, Location could be better”
The comfiest bed I've slept on in all of Asia. Even rivals my own bed. Great room/bed/bathroom, and an awesome big balcony with chairs and a table. Only thing is it's a little ways away from the downtown area of Ao Nang. Easily accessible by motorbike though within 10 minutes. Also within 10 min of a King Cobra show. Great place to stay but if you don't want to rent a motorbike or pay for a Tuk Tuk maybe get a place more in the center of town.

we booked for one night and extended our stay a further couple of nights. the guesthouse is less than five minutes to the skytrain station and also convinient for the central pier to take the boat to the palace area. the room was good and bathroom very clean. joy was great giving advice of where to go and a nice person to speak with in general. i think this place is great value for money.

Basic acommodation with decent price. Basic breakfast but they took into account my wishes. Good english skills but the staff was not always available. The laundryservice stained my clothes light red but those were fresh anyway.

i had come along with my friends and we had a nice stay at this hotel. the rooms were sufficiently big enough , but most importantly were clean and well maintained. so was the bathroom. location of the hotel is the best part. its just few minutes away from the main streets. hotel staff too were warm and friendly. overall good value for money!

We arrived late at night, but the staff was really kind to us. In the morning, we were taken to another hotel for breakfast. It was simple, but at the nice setting. The lady was very friendly, offering lots of information, and they have two super cute friendly cats.

A bit out of the way”
Good value for money, staff were lovely. Hotel was basic but clean with everything you need. Location isn't greatest it About 15 minute walk to the beach .. 30/40 to Ao Nang but it you rent a motorbike that's fine. If you stay here visit steak Lao across the road it's a hidden gem.

I've been looking forward to writing this review. I cannot remember the last time having such a crummy experience staying in a guest house or anywhere. The site offered transportation from Krabi Airport to the Guest House and recommended to email for details so we did. Several hours later, we arrived at the Krabi Airport and greeted by a driver who did not speak English. I checked email for a response from the guest house regarding transportation cost prior to getting into the driver's pov....nothing. When we arrived to the guest house no one spoke English. Fifteen minutes later the manager arrived, informing us the ride cost 600 Bahts (USD$20) which is 1//2 the price of the room. She stated that she responded to my email with a transportation quote. Not true. Breakfast was not too impressive. We placed our order three times over a period of 40 minutes before breakfast was served to us. There were only three other folks eating at the time. The room was ok but a little far to the restaurants and shopping which we were aware prior to booking. During our stay I reminded the manager three times to resend the email regarding her transportation quote. Instead, she blew me off. I never got the email. This place is not worth the frustration. Btw, the is the first time I've taken a moment to write a bad review.

A residential building along the main road”
Nice room with good all that you may need. Internet signal is week in the room. The girl at the at the receptions has a nice smile and knows how to type fast in here phone and that’s all she can make. If you ask here something she will lift showers and if you keep on insisting she will call her sister who works in the resort 500 meters down the road and she will come in 5 – 10 minutes to speak English with you and help you with whatever you need, Breakfast is basic and is served very close in the resort 500 meters down the road. There is no lobby or something similar – it looks more of a residential building than a hotel. People keep their car and motorbikes in the night and they close the from door. Poor location if you like to walk on foot.

It was a wonderful stay. Negative point was that no internet in the room and only available in public areas. It was compensated by the friendly and attentive staff and good breakfast.

A bike is a must to move around”
1. The location is quite near to beach but not aonang beach. Located quite a distance from aonang beach which most people are staying there. A motorbike rider is fine. 2. Considered quite reasonable price. 3. Deposit box is broken. Cause inconvenience to customer to go out for their activities. Not as per advised. 4. Staff not really speak English. Difficult to communicate.

Budget but nothing more”
Location close to the pier where the boats arrive, 5 minute walk, TV not good, small and no English channels, toilet and shower outside on the balcony (which is a big balcony). Not a big deal but not that comfortable. Other than that everything works fine, A/C , hot water, clean etc... Have motorbikes for rent but not very good condition, saying that I had no problem with mine.

Yes,it's big n clean room but the flush is not working, there is nothing to see nearby this hotel only night market 15 minutes walking closed at 8pm, the staff speaks poor english and far from friendly and helpful ,they have tuk2 by their own which charged uso aonang beach which actually nearby, this beach can be reached by song thew for thb 20/person. Not recommended place
