Is not bad
I would like to say that is cheap but the truth is that they have exactly the same price than the other hostel, is quite far from the main village, restaurants, bars, etc. And at night if you want to came back you need a torch, because is so dark, ofc no aircon. Good things, the staff.

Bedbugs !!! I'm cover of bites
Nice owner
I was eaten alive by bed bugs and my roommate too. It could be dangerous if you are allergic. The Homestay is far from the center (15-20 walk) but still noisy, even at night. The shower and the toilet don't close, and there are space in the pieces of wood. The owner is very nice but you need to be "roots" to like this place.

Awesome Host
This is a very cozy and very nice hostel run by a great woman. Lizel the owner is very accommodating and very friendly. She takes everyone out to dinner at a good cheap place and is very knowledgable due to her travels. The beds are nice enough and the location is good being away from the main town and tucked into the local fishing village. This is a new hostel so some of the amenities could be improved which im sure will happen soon enough. This is the only hostel in Port Barton and by far the cheapest place to stay there. All tours and travel arrangements can be made by the owner.

Most lovely stay in a long time
You arrive at the home stay and you instantly know why this place has such a high rating: the owner and everybody staying there is so nice and welcomes you immeadiately for dinner or to join them the next day on an island hopping trip. At the same time you can have your freedom if yoi want it. The owner Leizel is super nice, helpful and carying. The beds are equipped with mosquito nets and the whole place is always clean. The only thing i would argue to improve is that the bathroom (shower/ toilet) can get a little too busy for 8 people. But overall a great and unforgetable experience. Thanks Leizel ❤️

What a experience!
The highlight of my stay must have been port Barton! Mainly because of the wonderful host! Recommended by a fellow traveler and well I'm lucky to have stumbled across it. Going back to basics, in the best fashion of all, making you realise you can go without all the things you take for granted in everyday life. (Yes my hair dryer). Host was welcoming, took us to amazing restaurants, she has a wealth of information on the philipinnes! I met so many cool travelers! I can't recommend this place enough! Don't be expecting luxury but do expect a wonderful experience! Thank you so much for having me! I just wish I could of stayed for a few more weeks! Word of advice do book in advance! Xxxx
