"When we arrived the staff were very nice. We then went to our “rooms” and it was fairly comfortable and clean however the bathroom had a pair of underpants left on the floor all day all the way until the next day. We only stayed one night, and when we checked out my friend accidentally left her kindle in the locker. We realised the kindle was left at the hotel when we reached the airport we tried to contact them and didn’t hear back till the next day in which they told us there was no Kindle. If the room was cleaned after we checked out the kindle should have been found by a staff member but the fact that it has now permanently gone missing obviously we are not happy about that. "

"The majority of reviews on Agoda say that for a quick stay, this is the go-to hotel which provides a comfortable stay/service/access to get around town. My mother and I dreaded the almost unanimous "small bathroom" comment, but decided to forgo the fact and ended up booking our stay there anyway. Arriving in Milan, we immediately got into a taxi and asked to be taken to Hotel Galles (most taxi drivers know exactly where it is). Once we got to the hotel we were welcomed by friendly and efficient receptionists who have great command of English. I didn't have any problem understanding them and they spoke very clearly to us. We were then taken to our room. So, the bathroom thing is true: it is very small even by Asian standards. We were able to squeeze ourselves just fine and went about our business easily, but we would have loved it more if the bathroom was a little bit bigger. It is worth saying that when I was confused about which train to take to get from Milan to Paris, the hotel staff helpfully printed out a list of train schedules for me to choose from (and highlighted the most efficient routes). Anyhoo, in our experience, the hotel could use a few improvements, but we had a great time and would definitely return. Although, yes, Hotel Galles is probably best for a short / weekend getaway type of stay. Oh, don't forget there are a few bookstores and music stores down the road from the hotel on Corso Buenos Aires -- they have great selection of English books and Italian music/movies! And for Asians looking for a taste from "home", there's a great Korean restaurant on the corner of Corso Buenos Aires about a block from the hotel -- at the intersection where Zara is situated, with the hotel to your right, turn left. A few doors from there you'll find a great Korean BBQ dig which serves amazing Korean food! Anyway, good stuff! Godetevi il vostro soggiorno!"

"The hotel has an excellent location just a few minutes' walk from Lima Metro Station and within walking distance of the city's main train station. It is located in the ideal city center, just a few metro stops from the cathedral square. The hotel is clean, small and quiet, the rooms offer all the comforts and the staff are very kind. It creates the feeling of home-like cosiness. Breakfast is great, cappuccino and croissants are fantastic! Thanks for the wonderful stay there."

"10€ taxi to Cardano station for the Malpensa express train, conveniently located to the Repubblica and Porta Venezia metro stations, and within walking distance to Milan Central train station. Functionally clean and compact rooms. Nice breakfast spread, appropriately priced. We did not try the dinner but the menu looked good also. "

"I felt the explanation at the check-in was rough and impolite. The main gate is closed and locked at night, but the staff has never mentioned it when we checked in. So, I could not enter the gate and had waited until other customers luckily came. In addition, when I was waiting for my turn for the checkin, I found a free city map around the front desk and tried to pick It up. Then, the staff somehow suddenly stopped me and told me to wait untill he explained. But he never explained it and rushed us into the room once he finished his explanation. Facility wise, they have no refrigerator and no toothbrush. The terrace was not bad. "

"Stayed at this hotel in Jan 13 for the second time. Overall, it was OK and the hotel deserves the money we paid for it. Location was great, just 5 min walking to either of the two subway stations nnearby - Lima or P.ta Venezia. Train station Milano Centrale is also within walking distance. Staff was helpful. Room was tiny and somewhat dated, but clean. Can't say the hotel was noisy, we had a good sleep on the 7th floor. The hotel offers special mattresses and pillows, which are designed to give you more comfort. Unfortunately, on the contrary we found them very hard to get used to. Breakfast was very average - coffee not so good, no fresh juice, average omelette and sausages."
