A great budget hostel, located outside of the Old City, but less than 1 minute walk to Old City”

This is hostel is about a 5 minute walk from the North Gate of the old city (you can enter the city right across the street though). The North Gate has a staging area for the songtheaws to Doi Suthrep, and a number of other sites further out, mostly going north and west of the city. Their is a great cafe next door called Freedom House, but for more food and other things you need to enter the Old City. Lots of restaurants, 7-11s, shops, massage parlours (not sketchy ones), and temples within easy walking distance. Potae will help you arrange various tours. Lockers are more like a locked drawer which was big enough to fit my laptop, and souvenirs. The female capsule dorm was great. Very comfortable and clean. In response to another comment I saw: I did see them change the sheets with every new person. Would definitely stay here again.

Great budget guesthouse/hostel!”

My girlfriend and I stayed in the private room and our friend stayed in the dorm for a few nights in early April. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The private is a tight squeeze, it fits the double bed (like most of Thailand, just two singles pushed together), and not much else. The aircon worked almost too well and the wifi worked better than anywhere we've stayed in Thailand. There's a separate industrial router for each floor. Potae, the owner, is wonderful! She is super nice and helpful. We rented three scooters and she got us a good discount on the rentals. Potae was usually out on the patio chatting with us in the morning during breakfast. Although breakfast is included, it consists of toast and coffee. But for the price, I didn't expect too much more. The instant coffee/hot cocoa is available all day as well. We ended up checking out because Potae's private room was booked but I'd definitely stay there again!

We really enjoyed our stay here. We found Potae helpful and friendly and answered everything we needed to know about Chiang mai, tours and nightlife. The whole place was clean and new and well laid out. I would most certainly return and recommend!!

Wish we could have stayed longer!”

We stayed at Potae's House for just a night, having come from another guest house, and I wish we had stayed at Potae's longer. She was so nice and very helpful in getting us a rental bike and waking up early to give us the key deposit. Finding things to do in Chiang Mai seems to be all taken care of there. The room was pretty basic, but everything was very clean which is what mattered to us!

Value for money ”

This newly built guest house is always clean. Towel, shampoo and body wash are provided. For breakfast, fruit and bread are provided. Owner is very professional and supports for arranging tours. Location is also good, easily accessible to old city. For backpackers, I highly recommend this hotel!! It was great stay.

The hostel is very new and so are the rooms. Everything was clean and nice. The staff cleans the bathrooms every day. The owner speaks very good english and helps you if you have a question or a problem. Water, coffe and chocolate is for free. The breakfast is nothing special (toast, butter, marmelade) but hey, it's free! Only thing I didn't Luke: many mosquitos. I would recommend this hostel. It's a really good place to stay and near a bus station and directly situated by the old town.

Awesome place to stay. Everyone was so sociable, I had a great time. Potae was SO friendly and helpful. You can book tours through the hostel at discounted prices. The place is super super clean and the beds are comfy. You also get breakfast in the morning which is toast and fruit. Also as much tea and coffee as a human can drink :) I loved staying here.

リーズナブルな価格で考えると満足できると思います。 ただ、Wi-Fiの繋がりが悪いのと速度が明らかに遅かったです。 ネット検索とかは問題ないですが、動画とかを見たい人はここはやめたほうがいいかも。 あとはベッドにカーテンがないのでプライベートがないのとドミトリー全体のエアコンがきつくて寒いので、その対策は考えたほうがいいかも。 シャワーやトイレは綺麗で使いやすくて良かったです。

안 깨끗한 곳이 없다👍🏻 화장실, 계단, 방 등 먼지 하나없이 빤딱빤딱해요. 청소를 엄청 잘해주신다. 통풍, 환기 잘 돼서 눅눅한 느낌없고, 볕이 잘 들어서 포근하고 아늑한 분위기. 침구가 엄청 깨끗해요~~ 다른 숙소에 묵다가 더러워서 포태즈로 이사왔는데 너무 만족스러웠다. 숙소내 움직이는 동선도 좋아서 체력비축 잘됩니다. 조용하고 청결하고 조식도 있고 사장님 무척 나이스하고 좋은말만 쓰게 되는 집! 여성여행자에게 적극 추천👍🏻

깨끗하고 저렴해서 좋구요 게스트하우스면 사실 외국인들하고 막 떠들고 놀아야 재밌는데 워낙 좁은 곳이라 그럴 만한 공간이 없었음.. ㅜ ㅜ 근처에 로컬 애들 가는 라이브술집이 있는데 너무 재밌었어요 태국 젊은 친구들 정말 예쁘고 잘 생기고 멋지더만요 ㅎㅎ
