Great location, value, and quality for Phi Phi”
I spent hours looking looking into all the options and reading mixed reviews on Phi Phi hotels, so when I actually got there, I was able to recognize many of them. You pay more money for less quality just to be on Phi Phi, but I'm so thankful I didn't settle for the cluster of budget hotels by the raunchy smelling wastewater treatment plant or one of the hotels located off by itself away from Ton Sai Village. PP Insula was a great option. Good central location, decent price (for Phi Phi), decent value, A/C was wonderful, the fridge is nice to have, our bed was bigger than the tiny ones you usually find in Thailand. The staff were really kind, helpful, and accommodating when my wife injured her ankle. They let us borrow some crutches and an employee helped me carry our luggage all the way to the pier.

Simply great!”
I am 4 months pregnant and after reading the reviews about the smell I wrote to the hotel and asked to cancel my booking. They agreed but because it was on last minute We still went. I am so happy that we did!! It was ABSOLUTELY NO SMELL!!! We stayed for 5 nights in PP Insula and we were very happy with everything. No breakfast of dining options but with so many places to choose from around the hotel, it was fine for us. The hotel is in the middle of everything , plenty of things to do and to see. The staff is so friendly and the hotel is spotless! We had a watermelon everyday so we asked if we can borrow a knife , which we had for all our stay. Phi phi is a bit expensier in terms of food and drink prices and the beaches are quite far and small, 5 days was enough.

close to everything. Easy walk to ferry.”
There were certain rules, like taking your shoes off before going upstairs, you only got 2 towels/day. But the management was very pleasant and was accommodating. What I liked is that we were a mom and daughter staying together and we felt safe and very central. We had everything we needed steps from the front door. Koh Phi Phi was great and extremely safe. You can walk anywhere, so no nasty tuk-tuk drivers or overpriced cabs. The rooms were clean and attended to quickly. The only sand was what we brought in after walking on the beach or kayaking. It was a great vacation and we were very pleased we stayed at PP Insula. The money we save we spent on Thai massages!

Funky interior but cold shower”
Stayed 1 night in Room double A/C room. I didn't really like the location, it's kinda hidden (even though it doesn't matter in Phi Phi, it's all walkable) but it doesn't matter because they have beautiful quiet rooms with free wifi. Wifi was so-so. I find most places we've been to in Thailand the beds are hard but sleep-able. Shower is cold in our room. Not sure if it's normal but we didn't mind. It was great to see it had a wall and curb to keep the water away from the toilet. They had a lot of racks and desk/shelf surface to place your junk everywhere haha. Nice and big surfaces. There's a waredrobe and a safe. Aircon was super good. Balcony there isn't really a view. You have to take off your shoes in PP Insula Hotel. Overall, we had a comfortable stay and no complaints

2nd time staying here - excellent”
We stayed at PP Insula two years ago and rebooked for our trip in 2016. The location is great, with a convenience store right next door, and along a quiet street away from the madness. The rooms are big and clean, and the staff is great - very helpful. The front doors are locked in the evening, and guests have access cards, so it is very safe as well. The wifi is pretty good also. There is no restaurant in the hotel, but many restaurants just a few steps away. All in all a great place to stay on beautiful Phi Phi.

Excellent”
The room was nice, very clean and quiet despite being in the middle of Ton Sai. Bear in mind there are quite a few ground rules at PP Insula designed to keep it this way....take off your shoes before going upstairs, no spraying of mosquito spray in the rooms. Also remember, despite Phi Phi being something of a party island, security is also important at this hotel.... so no extra visitors to your room if you catch my drift :-) An extra mention for the three big fluffy cats that live in reception and usually greet you as you go up the stairs.

Great place in Phi Phi Village”
The PP Insula is a perfect and clean base for exploring the island of Phi Phi. Very helpfull staff, good english. Our room (204)even had a view out into the bay. Good WiFi. Shower is seperated from the toilet by a wall.Definately not a place for the partycrowd, so you have good nights sleep. Supermarket is right next door and everything else is within walking distance.

Great spot to rest up”
This was our 3rd time visiting Phi Phi and our 3rd time staying at PP Insula. The location is in a nice quiet area, which is rare on this island. The staff are very friendly and helpful with any questions. If you want to be in a party area right by the beach, this isn't your best bet, but if you want a place to get some rest after a big day/night out, this is a good spot. One of the only drawbacks is that there is not a pool, but with so many beaches within 5 minutes walk that is not a dealbreaker. We enjoyed our stay once again at Insula.

Perfectly located ”
Well PP Insula on Phi Phi Island where everything is mixed up no roads name, hotel is located 2 minutes from Pier, close to great restaurants, close to travel agents for excursions and once you get a grasp of Phi Phi you wont get lost and will find hotel easily. Owner or caretaker was very helpful, room was a bit small but Phi Phi is generally expensive so expect nothing better from other hotels there. One of the rooms my friends stayed in had a fantastic view, mine I had a wall but that's my luck maybe.

Extremely Convenient, Clean but small Room”
we arrived pp insula hotel at about noon time, the boss let us check in immediately. it is a three-floored building, in order to keep clean, everyone must leave the shoes/slippers at the first floor by the stairway, this assure the cleaning of the whole hotel, and make it homelike. the lights and the lamp gave us deep impression, because they are made from huge shells, how nice! and right outside the hotel, there are 2 fruit stands sells good price and quality fruits, but don't buy the barbicue shrimps at the stand right opposite to the hotel, because they are only shimp-like, they are made from the flour.

fantastic hotel in the thick of things yet quiet!”
Loved the hotel and location, right by the local market so supper was sorted every evening! It was also totally protected against the party noise and chaos that is only 5 mins walk away - amazing really, totally quiet at night so perfect! People were not paying a lot less for insect ridden accommodation and weren't able to sleep due to the amount of noise. Can't recommend this hotel enough, especially at the price. Not sure I would recommend Phi Phi after dark unless you stay on the Pier side of the bay or maybe want to experience the absolute antithesis of "The Beach" and everything Leo's character hated.

Great small hotel of Phi Phi”
We had a great small room with a distant ocean view for our twin room. Everything in the hotel was fine. Compared to many of the reviews I read for hotels on Phi Phi, this place looked a little better than the others. Free wifi was included which is a good bonus. The room was very small, but you don't go to Phi Phi to sit in a hotel. As others have said, it was quiet and away from the party areas, so when we wanted to go to bed, we had no problems falling asleep. As an added bonus, it is very close to the local market so you can buy cheap, good Thai food and eat with locals if that is something you enjoy. Or you can go to any of the other Western restaurants around Phi Phi.

Really Great Hotel”
We really enjoyed our stay in the PP Insula. We received 2 free bottles of water every day. The room was cleaned every day. The guy at the reception was very friendly. The balcony and the view from our room were nothing special, but the room itself was lovely. Really comfortable beds with a very nice, clean bathroom, and a separate area for the shower - unlike most Thailand hotels where the whole bathroom floor fills with water! Most importantly, we were right in the middle of the town and about a 2 minute walk to the beautiful beach. However, despite being right in the town, there was no noise at night. Highly recommended.

Perfect stay ”
Found this place because of it's low price for Koh Phi Phi and good reviews. I was not disappointed! I extended my stay a few times. It's right in the center of town but surprisingly quiet at night. They lock the front door at night so it feels very safe. The family running the place were very nice, always greeting you. Hot water, good wifi and A/C, and a clean room!

No regrets for staying again”
If you are allergic to cats it's not your choice - these shaggy charms with bells really govern the place. As they do the whole Phi-Phi island) The hotel has some features in it's policy - no shoes inside, no food inside, no visitors inside, and 1000 baht deposit for keys, all understandable on the second day staying on Phi Phi. In return you have clean, quiet and comfortable stay. Nice rooms, good wi-fi, pleasant owner and staff. Far from parties' noises. Visited second time and would definitely recommend this hotel. 5 minutes walk from pier. 'Phi Phi Corner' just 10 meters by the alley to the pier has best food around.

Really a gem of a place! ”
I really loved my stay at pp Insula. They really live up to their great tripadvisor rating . Staying there was a real treat : very comfortable, safe , clean and quiet but mere footsteps from the action of the town. Great location ! I also appreciated that the room is nicely appointed and aesthetically designed . Very pleasing to the eye with picture on the wall, cool industrial concrete flooring , nice linens and towels. Well constructed space . Ac worked great. Hot water and shower pressure excellent . This place is spotless!

great location in the centre of all the hustle”
phi phi is a wonderful town without a car in sight. bicycles,mo-peds and hand pushed trolleys skim thru the busy 3m wide streets avoiding children, backpackers and pedlars alike. snorkling, rockclimbing and sunbathing is the name of the game in this cutest of locations. the pp insula was in the middle of all the activity, every third shop is an eatery of some description. best of the bunch for us was a right turn from the pp insula, walk 50m round to the right and you find 'matt's place' great value ,great food and the best mashed potatoes this side of dublin.

Excellent location and good value for money”
On arrival on Phi Phi the hotel is just a 5 minute walk from the pier. Fast, friendly and efficient check-in. A 1000THB deposit is required for the room key and the electronic key card for the front door. The deposit was returned upon departure without any problem. The room was very clean, good A/C, hot shower, a safe is provided for valuables and 2 free bottles of water provided every day. All footwear must be taken off in the reception area prior to going to the rooms which helps to reduce noise and improve cleanliness. The beach is just a 5 minute walk away as are the many bars and restaurants. Overall a great stay and highly recommended budget accommodation.

Good value for money on phi phi ”
We really enjoyed our time at pp insula. The hotel in very close to the pier, beaches and restaurants and located on the quieter side of the island. The rooms are a little dated however were spotless and cleaned daily/fresh towels. Would highly recommend as a great budget option over hostels/dorms... Worth the extra!!

Pleasant small hotel in the best location”
We stayed 6 days and had very pleasant stay. PP Insula is close to everything, in the center of Tonsai Village. There is 8 shops and marts around. Staff is enormously friendly and helpful. We were allowed to check out 2 hours later than normal. There were 4-5 big cats welcoming guests in the lobby. Although PP Insula does not offer breakfast, there is a large number of restaurants and dining options in the vicinity.
