The Prana Experience”
As we coast our German automobile through the winding labyrinth of Prana Lodge, we are saluted by an army of tall trees, echoing in dance our arrival to the serene sky. The congenial security personnel had completed his task, seeing us through the gate; "follow your bliss and allow the children of nature to deliver you to healing" — his decree it was. Our concierge, always wearing elaborate smiles, appears in expectancy of a familiar tale reminiscent of "loss", as we meandered our way through the bouquet of our aromatic friends. An epic odyssey, preparing us for a welcoming into the warm hands of our hosts. The crispy cold apple juice swiftly sees assuage the drought in our throats. Chaperoned as Royalty, we crawl our way into the seclusion of our private suite, surrender is inexorable. This is home, inside the belly of nature's armored beast. Bountiful the pantry, seductive the silent shadows, muffled by the caress of the bush... Ssshhh... Intuition has regained his voice... Listen... The cohabitant monkeys, the chirping birds, the sheltering trees, the pregnant sky, the roaring sea, life-giving leaves resuscitating constricted lungs prescribe us with a refreshing sense of nature's ordnance. An experience exiled from our urban-dwelling species. The gourmet chef descends from space's fairylands. He has arrived; to school earthlings in food pairing delights plus he brings forth manna. "You have never experienced bread like this.."; I whisper to Nobuntu as I munch on a dumpling offering, at the insistence of our waiter, who promptly recommends that I drop the shutters to my eyeballs as I enjoy the pre-dinner treat. Gail, the unsurprisingly radiant and luxuriant owner, indulges us in the story and design concept behind this breathtaking abode. A wonderful, wonderful experience ”
My husband and I stayed for 4 nights at Prana Lodge and loved it. The beautifully decorated rooms are suites that are each tucked away with complete privacy. The food is divine, with the kitchen able to make tasty veggie food for us. And the people just make you feel so at home. With a nearly private beach alongside, it's heaven! Highly recommended. Wow,what a spoil to stay Prana Lodge. Loved everything about this 5 star facility. Friendly and well trained staff,good food (fine dining)and the fact that you are on the beach contribute to an overall positive experience. Will recommend to anyone who consider staying there. Just keep in mind if you book the Forest Suite, that it does not have a private pool like the other suites.
