Hidden gem on the river”
Our stay at the Palazzo was short, but the staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome and comfortable and the hotel itself is unlike anything I’ve stayed in in Bangkok; a beautiful, historic building that while unsurprisingly not quite in perfect conduction, has been remarkably well maintained. We were surprised to find out that the hotel is only really accessible via their own private boat from a pier across the river, but that was quick and easy every time we needed to go somewhere. (You can walk to it from the road, but it would be tricky at night or with a lot of bags.) An honorable mention to the restaurant as well. They have an award winning chef and a dining room to match. Had dinner there one night, and it’s safe to say that the food is very special. Again, unlike anything I’ve had before and not your typical Thai food - the menu is designed to be a journey through Thailand’s history, laid out chronologically, each dish or set of dishes coming from a different period. Well worth a boat trip across the for.

Unforgettable Staycation- Eccellente ! ”
Our anniversary staycation couldn’t be better! Thanks to Khun S and everyone at Praya Palazzo for very attentive service. The mansion is well renovated, the history make it even more special. Our room at the front corner of the building is one of the best from window can see the huge tree and river, arch window frame high ceiling, layers of curtain With good lighting make the room so cozy and romantic. Swimming pool by the river is good size and get both sun & shade, so relaxing swimming with sounds of birds & boats. Praya Dining also has a very interesting menu with authentic Thai recipes from the old era. Breakfast served by the river was another memorable meal. We couldn’t say enough how happy we were spending our time at Praya Palazzo. Grazie mille!

2 nights in Junior Suite and Praya Suite.”
Very convenient to access old town Bangkok by hotel boat. Royal palace area within walking distance. Staffs are very nice and provide great service. The rooms look a bit old due to its style of decoration but they'are clean and very spacious. Its privacy and greenery make the hotel very good for getting out of the busy and hectic city. Highly recommend.

Old-world luxury great despite imperfections ”
If you like old-world luxury and you like the idea of being isolated yet 5 minutes on a private boat from the busy city, then this is the place for you. The rooms are stylish, breakfast is good, and the pool area is a fabulous, quiet place to relax for the afternoon before heading out to the city for the evening. It wasn't perfect though: It's quite common to label rooms with little view as garden view, but none-the-less, at a nice place like this, it's disappointing to have only a view overlooking the unattractive backyards of local neighbors. The room also lacked places to sit. There was only a single desk chair. Finally, the room cleaning wasn't very thorough - some surfaces were dusty and walls were dirty with finger prints etc. I've lived in BKK for 3 years, and despite its imperfections, I'm inclined to visit Praya Palazzo again. The privacy, quite and old-world luxury is a welcome change to the typical fancy river hotel in BKK.

Praya brings me see another side of bangkok”
It was my fifth trip to Thailand and this time I chose to stay in Praya with my family. Never regret my choice. One thing special with Praya is its location in many senses. First, it is pretty much close, within abt 2km, to many scenic spots such as Grand Palace, National Arts Museum. If you love to use tuk tuk, it will be certainly appreciated by you. Second, the hotel is situated along the main river. This means (hotel's charge-free) ferry boat will be your last traffic tool connecting to the hotel. The boat works no earlier than 7am (but in case to catch flight, they can make exception) and no later than 10pm. If you go to bangkok for night life, it is probably not your first choice. For me with the family, it is then perfect. I can officially remind my husband not staying outside too late. Third, the hotel is in the area of old capital. Right behind the hotel is a "village in the town". I strongly recommend the visitors from Europe and USA take time to walk through and see around this kind of village-like living area. I show it to my 5-year-daughter. I hope she sees how the most ordinary people live in Thailand and there are always two sides of one card. For myself, I then understand religion's spiritual power on human beings--mostly in positive sense. I recommend Praya to all experienced travellers who want to see a little bit more of Bangkok, absolutely!

Unique ”
We have had this on our bucket list since moving to Asia. Finally made it! We enjoyed the water taxi to and from the hotel - what a sweet touch! Even though we arrived very late, the boat was ready for us (called when we were riding from airport). Staff was very kind, non-intrusive, and welcoming. The grounds were beautiful with an amazing pool (we didn’t use this time). Enjoy!

Amazing experience at a luxury boutique hotel, value for money, conveniently located ”
The colonial-styled estate with 16 rooms is located on the Chaophraya river bank, right across a touristy area of Khaosarn. The only way you can get there is by a private boat (free or charge). While located right in the heart of bustling Bangkok, the early 20th century deserted-mansion-turn-boutique hotel with lush green courtyard offers coziness, ultimate privacy and a glimpse of quintessentially aristocratic Bangkok life in the old days. The hotel also offers free shuttle boat (it only takes 3-5 mins) to cross to Phra Artit pier where you can walk to Banglamphoo. Khaosarn and other tourist attractions. The food was also great (if you wanna try Thai cuisine beyond Pad Thai and Green curry). We were treated with gracious hospitality indeed.

Relaxing riverside stay ”
The Praya Palazzo Hotel is an excellent choice for a two night stay in an historic setting. The staff is friendly and helpful; the restaurant is excellent; and the pool area is very pleasant. A great place to relax. Because of its location, visitors who wish to stay longer should be willing to return on the complimentary boat to central Bangkok to explore the city.

It's magnificent”
Overall, I feel appreciated and impressed for the service I have got from the place. The hotel's general manager was taking care of guests by himself everyday at the restaurant. The food is also one of the signature of the hotel. Its restaurant just recently received a Michelin star for creativity. I, myself, didn't realize it until he came to notify me that night. So, in short, this place is highly recommended

Peaceful Staycation”
Super charming hotel with a lot of history. Even though you are just a short ride across the river, it feels like you are transported far away from the hustle and bustle of Bangkok. Staff is super nice and helpful. Only issue we had was with the WiFi help dropping in and out. Other than that, everything was great.

Smooth stay”
Iconic location for a vintage atmosphere, small boutique size, quiet staff, great pool. Room is comfortable, bed a bit hard but that's a personal taste. Too bad the bathtub doesn't have a shower pommel included. Breakfast set is below standards for this class of hotels. The restaurant is good though, a bit overpriced but at least it tastes authentic thai taste, not milder taste/no taste for foreigners. Great if you don't mind the noise from boats.

Nice butique hotel with nostalgic ambience n river-side serenity”
Nice hotel which renovated hundred year mansion to be a charming hotel. Love its calmness as it situates along Chao praya river then you can just sit n keep your pace slowly while watching the unhurry river flows.....

World traveler ”
Nice place! Can only get there by boat from across the river. Quite place! Nice get away! Good food! They speak good English there as well as Thai! They do need to improve on there WiFi! It’s very weak, so weak, it’s cuts out very fast after signing into it, except if right next to the office, then it’s strong. If that’s not a concern, it is a nice place to go and relax

Super supportive staff”
The staffs are so friendly. Hotel location is a bit hard to reach, but there’s a free hotel boat that’ll take you to the pier.
