Great hotel with fantastic staff and food
We stayed here for a couple of nights while in town and we absolutely loved it. The room was very comfortable with everything that we needed. The pool was also amazing along with the food at the restaurant.

Classic and serene
The floor creaks quite a bit as it's an old wooden floor. Our shower leaked but a quick call to the lobby solved the problem. All staffs were very polite and friendly. All in all we had a great experience with this serene hideaway.

Beautiful location and hotel
Love the location and the venue. Staffs are nice and accommodating. Taking a boat to the venue is actually quite convenient and fast. However, the bed is a bit too hard for our liking and towels are not ideal. Recommend not to take western breakfast

A quick escape
The Staff here were excellent, the hotel aged, the ordered food was good, the free buffet breakfast was ok but not so good I had it twice. I am not sure I would stay there again there are other 5 star riverside hotels that I think are better and better priced but I did like the staff and the privacy.

All staffs are so kind and friendly and nice. they provide a boat from hotel to peir which is close to khaosan load. and it was so good and romantic to take a boat that is only for me. i can take a boat with just one call. then they come to the peir in 10 mins. and it's so very calm and confortable. i'd like to stay here in next travel again.

Stay by the Chao Phraya River
Once the residence of a major figure in the old days, this hotel is one of the more unique/charming hotels in Bangkok. The fact that it's only accessible by boat is both a plus and a minus. If you are tired of run-off-the-mill hotels, you may want to give this hotel a try.

Get location But...
Great location, Boat staff brilliant
A pleasant stay was had. The location is great and the building is lovely (however ground floor area around the garden could do with a lick of paint.) The pool beds were old/rickety and dirty or marked. The Pool bar was closed. Had to go into formal dining room to get a drink to take back to pool and no pool snacks available. We never ate in the dining room of an evening so can't comment on the standard however breakfast was nice. Rather pleasant to get a menu instead of the usual buffet arrangement. The bedroom small. So much so that we kept banging our shins on the edge of the bed base. Bathroom outdated with grey (supposed to be white) towels and fraying bathmats. Rather tricky steps into the bathroom. Creaky bed so everytime one turned over it woke the other! Also our fellow guests (above us) once out of their bed could also be heard. The little courtyard alongside our bedroom had broken decking and three huge tubs covered in old table cloths - very unsightly. (Avoid room 125) There is little english spoken in the dining room but that is something one expects and am not criticising. The office staff and boat staff need a mention. They were very attentive and helpful. You are given a mobile phone on arrival and you call up the hotel when you need collecting from Pier 13 and they come across the river to collect you - 24 hour service! With an historical building like this one doesnt expect all the mod cons -its colonial but with little cost and some real TLC this could become a real Gem. Would I go again? No.
