Beautiful, peacful surrounds hotel
Was here as a stopover before heading to Prasat Preah Vihear and it was the best opulent, exquisite hotels in the far corner where civilization has forgotten and I liked it. Will definitely go back again. Water pressure strong, hot running water, great meals, peaceful location and top of the range... considering the surrounding areas...

Poor from arrival to departure
On approach the hotel looks rather showy & has a lovely staircase, however that is all I could find to start with something positive ~ the room was dull & facilities were very basic ~ e.g coffee & cups, no kettle . No towels in room , door to bathroom couldn't be closed as handle fell off, dinner was not as good as some of the much fresher & lesser priced local restaurants and overall unfortunately the staff seemed dispondent. The pool floor was terribly dirty, no towels at poolside and a shame as we visited the area to visit Preah Vihear Temple and that was the highlight of our trip after visiting a number of Cambodias beautiful provinces!!!

Nice if it was priced correctly. should be a third of the price to be realistic
Way too expensive, but limited options for this small town

Overcharging
location : the closest to the temple ,although not that close.A small nice pool to refresh.
It is a very "ordinary" boutique hotel.Excellent location (no competition!).Staff reasonably professional (nice but rather below standards).Poor breakfast, poor food.It is simply ridiculously overpriced, probably around two times...So the question is :should you skip hotel and go to the temple (3 hours by car+30mn by 4WD to go up+ reasonably 2 hours around the site not to hurry )within one day?It is a choice.

Location,
Way too overpriced for what it offered. Breakfast is meager Over all it is tolerable We will not recommend it for others mainly based on overpricing.

It's ok...
The only proper hotel around Preah Vihear, quiet (there is nothing else to do), the pool table in the restaurant
It's a very quiet hotel. It's ok, as it is just about the only proper hotel you can find in the area, especially if you are heading to visit the BIG Preah Vihear (Angkor) temple. You don't really have any other choice. It's not a bad hotel, just ok and nothing to shout about. I guess the best past-time will be to play pool :D

great place. staff very friendly and accommodating
the room, the staff, the pool
We had a great stay at the Preah Vihear Hotel. It is the best option you have to see the Preah Vihear temple. The staff is very helpful and accommodating and will also help organising your trip to the temple. There's two options; being driven all the way or walk up the 2000 or so steps. The rooms are large and clean with large comfortable bathrooms. There's also a town nearby where you can go for dinner. We didn't try the food at the hotel, but it seemed very nice.

uneasy, questionable
location, cleanliness
This hotel is aesthetically beautiful, located in a superb place, near to the Preah Vihear site. However, it is the kind of place that makes one uneasy. While eating dinner, several staff standing by, but not smiling, just watching. An eerie feel about the space as though the owner is hard on employees, or does not pay them. Also, there is no ATM anywhere within 90 miles of the hotel and to go to the ATM to use the machine was a hassle as many staff members came alongside. Food was not worth the luxurious cost- when leaving the hotel, staff provided security, which made one feel as they were always followed, watched. overall eerie and would not recommend this overpriced hotel.
