“The breakfast was too delicious.”
I stayed for 2 nights and 3 days for the live concert at Makomanai Arena. The hotel is a bit far from the station, but it was very helpful that there is a bus between the airport and the hotel, and although I didn't use it this time, there is also a shuttle bus between the hotel and Sapporo station. Even if you can't take the shuttle bus, there is a bus stop near the hotel that goes to Sapporo station. I included breakfast for two days, but everything was so delicious that I thought I could have stayed for a week! There were many varieties of rice, bread, and salads, as well as desserts like cake, fruit, curry, cheese for snacks, cupcakes, soups, and more than eight types of drinks. You could even order freshly made omelets and fried eggs, two days were definitely not enough; I was stuffed! The highly praised bread in the reviews was incredibly delicious, and the French toast made with that bread was fantastic! The freshly made omelets were also praised for being cheesy and delicious. Although the hotel is spacious, there were four elevators, so the waiting time was minimal. I intended to use the large bath, and I was able to on the first day, but there were many foreign tourists, and with only four washing stations and about two small baths, there was a wait when getting out. The changing area was spacious, making it easy to change. On the second day, since the large bath closes around 9:30 PM to 10:00 PM, I used the one in my room. I was happy that the bathtub was spacious enough to stretch out my legs! The shower was glass-enclosed but separate from the bathtub, which was great for washing my body while filling the tub with water. I thought it was amazing that the showerhead height could be adjusted. There were two bottles of free water provided in the room, and I was grateful that they were replenished the next day. The refrigerator was incredibly cold, which made me laugh! There were cups for hot coffee and glass cups available, which were useful for drinking bottled water. The toilet automatically opened and closed, and it had a deodorizing feature as well as a washlet, so it was very modern. The closet was huge, almost like one at home, and it was nice to be able to hang my clothes for the next day. There was also a safe for valuables, but it was old and rusty, and it was unfortunate that the lock didn't work. I was scared, so I kept all my money and valuables in my bag and carried them with me at all times. It was good that there were toothbrushes, shampoo, and body soap provided, but it was disappointing that there was no liquid hand soap and that there was only a bar of soap. After using the toilet, soap takes a long time to lather, and touching it with dirty hands is not very hygienic… I would like to have a pump-type hand soap. Additionally, the area around the handwashing sink had a drainage part that was not explained at all, and when I washed my hands, the water didn’t drain and collected, which was alarming. It seems I had to lift and twist the drain area? There should have been a written explanation…!!! I really didn’t understand!! Also, there was no guide map in the room showing what is on which floor and at what times, only in the elevator, which was inconvenient. I had to look it up on my phone while being in the hotel, which is something you find in every hotel. I wish they would at least provide a guide map. The hours for the large bath were also given on a thin paper at check-in, and the breakfast information was only provided verbally. It was unhelpful since there were two breakfast venues, and although the times were set, no paper was given to us. Please provide a guide map in the room or hand out a paper with all the lists. The hotel is luxurious, but the valuables safe was rusty, there was no guide map, and the front desk staff were foreign and difficult to understand, which was unsatisfactory. The breakfast was delicious, transportation was convenient, the view by the river was great, the bathtub in the room was spacious, the shower was separate, the toilet was modern, the refrigerator was cold, the room was spacious and clean, and despite some complaints, there were many good points, and I would love to stay again. I would also recommend this hotel to others. So please, I hope you will consider the maintenance of the safe and providing a guide map… Thank you for the wonderful trip!
