Great location, friendly staff keen to help
The hotel is in Zamalek, a peaceful oasis in busy Cairo. It is near to lovely restaurants and cafes. The rooms are comfortably large.
The first room allocated to us had a front door lock that would not open. A staff member came along and fiddled around for 10 minutes before coming to the same conclusion. So tried another room - TV not working. The staff tried their best to help. Finally achieved success with a lovely large working room with a good outlook. Really enjoyed our stay there. Re-visited Cairo a week later and checked into the same hotel. They very nicely gave us the same room. It is not 5 star luxury, but is so very reasonable and has so many pros that we would recommend it to anyone whose budget does not run into hundreds of dollars.

Good location & pleasant staff
Spacious rooms, easy access to taxis, value for money
The rooms below dining area are affected by the noise in the dining room
my first night at the hotel wasn't great as the room was below the dining room and the noise was terrible. the next morning i asked the duty manager to change rooms an he did this with pleasure. overall the staff was very friendly and extremely helpful. the one duty manger in particular was super with a good sense of humour.. the rooms are quite large, clean but could do with a bit of a facelift.

Simple and reasonble hotel, but no good the mainte
Cost performance
Facility maintenance
Reasonable from the viewpoint from the room rate. The hotel location is not convenient to use the public transport, shared bus or Metro, available only for taxi access. Good for business or group tour, but bad for private or backpacker traveler. The hotel facility is so so, but the maintenance and cleanses of the room is very bad.

The Hotel that used to be...
clean bathroom, clean sheets, good continental breakfast.
The hotel obviously used to be in a much better condition in the past. The reception is nice, the staff is welcoming, the elevators are old but functioning well. The rooms are old, the central air condition is not functioning well, the bathroom is clean but its floor has no drainage for the water. This hotel could definitely do with a small makeover and a few tips to the owner.

Hotell President - Review
The location of th ehotel is a plus point. It is in a rather quiet spot of th ecity.
It is quite a good hotel for short stays when travelling alone. One cannot really catch a glimpse of the city too well as the window annot be opened, for all the junk in it. The hotel staff is friendly and they kind of make up for the general shortcomings.
