Today, Agoda announces the winners of its Customer Review Awards an esteemed award, presented to hotel and accommodation partners across the globe as a recognition of their high rating customer reviews.
This year, more than 7,800 properties in 22 countries are presented with the accolade, with Thailand leading the pack as the market with the most recognised accommodation partners, while Japan and Indonesia claim second and third spot, respectively.
Bali scoops the top place on the list of winning cities or regions with 397 properties, followed by Tokyo with 295 and 260 in Taipei.
The Agoda Customer Review Plaque is judged on genuine customer reviews based on five key criteria including location, service, cleanliness, facilities and price. To qualify a property must have at least 40 reviews with an average review score of 8.0 or above. The qualified property must also regularly utilize Agoda’s intuitive Yield Control System (YCS), that is also now available in an app.
APAC travelers seem to be the most opinionated reviewers with Taiwan, South Korea, Malaysia, Thailand and Singapore travelers ranked as the top five markets by number of reviews globally. Moreover, Agoda’s reviewers prioritize location as the top parameter of the five review factors when travelers share a review, followed by the cleanliness of the accommodation, service from hotel staff, value for the money and facilities.

Agoda will start deliver the award to selected properties around the world from 15 August 2019.
