Agoda, one of the world’s fastest growing online travel agents (OTAs), today announced the launch of a new installment payment option feature for customers in Korea, which will allow them to benefit from Agoda’s best deals and lowest prices without having to pay the full purchase price at once.
This new payment feature is available through Shinhan, KB Kookmin and BC cards and will offer Agoda customers interest-free installment payments from two to six months, subject to terms and conditions.
In addition to the installment options, Agoda now offers Korean customers the ability to pay in Korean won using their Samsung Card, NH Card, KB Card, Hana Card, Lotte Card or BC Card, meaning customers benefit from the elimination of the bank’s foreign exchange transaction fees – a saving of up to 3% on reservations.
Darren Makarem, Vice President, Commercial Finance, Agoda explained, “We are passionate about offering frictionless payment solutions for our customers, so they can book quickly and easily. Offering Korean customers a wider choice of payment options, including these new installments and local currency options, is part of our on-going dedication to enhancing their booking experience with Agoda. Customers have always appreciated the variety of global accommodation options available on Agoda, and now also have even more payment selections to choose from too.”
Agoda has been serving the Korean market since 2009. With more than 22,000 domestic properties as part of its 2 million worldwide inventory, Agoda offers an array of hotels, resorts, guesthouses and holiday homes to suit all budgets on its Korean language website and app. As part of Agoda’s continued focus on in Korea, a dedicated Korean language customer experience center to enhance customer service in Korea was opened in 2018.
