Pleasant experience”
It was indeed a pleasant experience staying in this hotel for 5 days. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Further, the airconditioning system was superb especially the summer season in Beijing. The hotel is located near the major shopping street at Wangfujing and the nearest subway station is 10 mins away from the hotel. The hotel staff are also prompt in responding to my enquiries and have been very friendly throughout my stay. The only downside is that the swimming pool is small and can only accommodate a few people at any one time. Nevertheless, with its prime location and excellent room, I would recommend this hotel to travelers looking for a 5-star hotel in Wangfujing area.
Great value for money”
The hotel is within walking distance to Wangfujing St (15 minutes) , Tianmen Square and Forbidden City (40 minutes). Large rooms with a King size bed, plus a swimming pool are hard to find within central of Beijing. Hotel restaurants are overly priced, otherwise this is a great place to stay.
At North end of Wanfujing Street”
Staff were very helpful in setting up the use of my own laptop instead of using the more expensive computer provided by the hotel. I was a little undecided about the question of being 58 hotel or not. Most things are excellent, but location is not as good as The Beijing Hotel, Raffles and Grand Hotel etc. on Chang'an Avenue at the other end of Wangfujing Street. Breakfast seems a little expensive for 90 yuan (rmb), but I guess that is in keeping with a 5* hotel, and the kind of guest they would expect. However the price that I got booked in for was very good value for money.
Exceptional”
Was able to fit 4 guests in one room and great location on Wangfujing Street and close to Metro. On the whole, staff are very welcoming and accommodating. However, some staff especially in the Lobby Bar and Restaurant require additional training on customer service - especially as the Hotel is 5 Star. As a former Hilton and Novotel Restaurant Manager, I could see that staff would benefit from training in how to meet, greet, serve, clear away tables and and up-selling practices. The pool was a great relaxing way to finish the long days in Beijing and the children loved it ! Thank You !
Beijing at the Prime”
if you are looking for a an excelent value for money, the Prime Hotel is a good choice. It offers very competitive prices for a Hotel of this quality. very nice room, equiped with computer and internet, with a very very nice bathroom, with both tub and shower. very near the shopping street of Wanfujing, 20 m away from Tianamen and the forbidden city, its centrality makes it a very good choice for anyone staying in central beijing. the staff was very helpful in giving directions and useful tourist and restaurant tips.
Perfect hotel with good location”
Great hotel in immaculate condition, massive rooms with comfortable beds, big bathrooms, staff are really friendly and helpful, there is a family mart 200 metres away for all your cheap handy snacks and drinks, the Forbidden City is only a 15 min walk away, the only bad thing I would have to say about the hotel is that there is no restaurants or cafes close by, you have to walk 10 min into Wangfujing area but it's a nice walk, so definitely worth while staying here and good value for money
Perfect Location”
This hotel is in the perfect location, within walking distance of the Forbidden City, Tiananmen Square, many restaurants, and great people watching on Wangfujing Street. The staff are friendly and helpful, the hotel is very clean and has many amenities. Highly recommended!
Excellent”
The location of the hotel was perfect for us: central to Wangfujing shopping, Forbidden City and subway. Our room was on the fifth floor with a good view of the city. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful and any requests were dealt with quickly. The breakfast area was spacious and large with a wide selection of foods. The only disappointment was the soiled carpet in the room which really looked due for replacement.
Excellent hotel near Beijing centre, good value for money”
We had an excellent stay at Prime Hotel - walking distance from Forbidden City etc and near to the subway for other sights. A very well-appointed hotel, good size rooms, good buffet breakfast. Minor criticisms were smokey room, dinner buffet a little 'tired', and oddly no seating in the hotel lobby - we spent quite a lot of time waiting for family members, etc, sitting on the marble stairs. But overall, excellent value and an excellent hotel.
Great deal, but be wary of staff”
Pros: About a 10 minute walk from the shopping/tourist area of Wangfujing and near some great hutongs that aren't overrun with tourists. Superior room booked through Agoda was very spacious. The bed was very comfortable and cleaning staff did a good job every day, though the room itself was showing clear signs of wear (some peeling wallpaper, old caulking in the shower). Bathroom was also very large, with one standing shower and one shower/tub combo and large vanity. The gym, though small, was decent and an uncommon amenity in hotels in China. Cons: We were in a non-smoking room, but could sometimes smell smoke while in our own room. After checking out of the hotel 4 days later, my clothes smelled strongly of smoke. The front desk staff was as a whole very accommodating and friendly. However, I had one negative experience where we had made a new reservation on Agoda to extend our stay and settled everything with the front desk that morning, but a man called that afternoon saying that we had to check out. He was extremely rude and condescending when I went down to explain that we had already confirmed the new reservation that morning. He refused to look at my Agoda confirmation and said there were no rooms left. Luckily, the woman who had helped us that morning was there and showed him our new reservation in the system. Second bad experience was with the bellhop: when going to the airport, he was very rude and impatient when we asked him for help getting a taxi (as the front desk has told us to do). Generally, it was hit or miss with the bellhops--some smiled and were helpful, others just stared and watched you struggle with luggage. Despite two bad experiences, our stay at the Prime Hotel was good and I would stay again. This is definitely more of a 4 star hotel and doesn't compare to the service you would get at a place like the Westin. However, it's a great deal through Agoda.

Pros, nice hotel, english speaking staff, on Wangfujing street, 10min walk to pedestrian part of street. Close to Forbidden City. Cons, service at cafe was slow
Holiday stay in Beijing”
Had a wonderful time at the Prime Hotel in Beijing. The staff were very helpful and the attention to detail was faultless. The rooms were spotlessly clean and very spacious. The swimming pool and sauna were an added bonus after a busy day sightseeing. We split our travel time during our stay and it was a pleasure to return after a few days stay in Xi'an. We would return to this hotel without a shadow of doubt. We can not comment on the food as we did not eat here but the location of the hotel is excellent for the subway and general sightseeing within the city.
The location is great. Easy access to train station and buses.”
This hotel is quite near to Wangfujing shopping centers. It is within walking distance and the shops open until late at night. If you like shopping, this is one of a good hotel to stay. This hotel is very clean. The staff are very frendly and helpful. The room is quite big for a family. There is also a shutter bus station to book tickets to airport. Worth your money to stay in this hotel. I will book this hotel if I go visiting Beijing again.
Excellent Choice Close to Forbidden City”
Room is spacious and comfortable. Bathroom is large with both a bathtub/shower combo and a stand-alone shower. Staff friendly and helpful. 5-10 min walk to Dongsi metro station. In-house restaurants and cafe are expensive, but it's only a 15 min walk to excellent restaurants and coffee shops located inside malls along Wangfujing Street. Would happily stay here again.
Convenient location and very spacious rooms ”
We booked this hotel during a 50% promotion and for what we paid it was excellent. The location is a convenient 20-30 min walk to most of the famous Beijing attractions - forbidden city, jingshan park, houhai etc. It is right on the main shopping street and a 15 min walk to the nearest subway too.
Great value and decent location”
Working in Shanghai for 2 weeks, and managed to book this hotel for a weekend in Beijing in between. Promotion offer made it incredible value given the location, which is about a 15-20min walk to the Tiananmen Square / Forbidden City area. There is significant building work going on in the area on Wangfujing St, which isn't really a disturbance but more an inconvenience when leaving or arriving at the hotel on foot. Breakfast was okay, and service by staff was good. Would absolutely recommend when on a promotion.
Bis spacious room”
It was okay. It was at the end of wangfujing street attraction. took about 10 min walk to wangfujing pedestrian street. Near forbidden city exit and not the entrance only entrance from the north side. near jiogshan park. Beware of Counterfeit fake yuan. Check your 100 renmimbi notes. Just purchase cheap blue torchlight and shine on the notes. It will illuminate the 100. or refer to website for more details.
Excellent”
The Prime Hotel had a very good location to the Forbidden City, transport and small restaurants. The foyer is very beautiful and the staff were helpful. The room was comfortable although the shower was a little small. The hotel had a lovely pool although I never got the chance to use it. All in all I would stay here again.
Good hotel in the heart of Beijing”
Got a great deal in Agoda for this hotel. On the first day, when I reached the hotel at 9 am, they let me check in this early without any extra charges. Kudos to them. The room was spacious, comfortable and reasonably clean. The have complementary amenities and just take note that they offer some extra amenities but with charges. Don't use it if u do not want to pay it as it stated how much there. The hotel is situated in a great location where you can walk towards the subway station less than 5 minutes. They have a gym where the equipment are fairly new and also a small swimming pool where you need to wear swimming cap if you want to use it. Walk able distance to WangFuJing attraction. Besides that, there are a few store such as FamilyMart near the hotel and there are a McD too. It wont be hard to find food around there.
Nice hotel!”
Good sized family room, pool was great. Staff were helpful. One drawback was the cost of breakfast per person ($19 usd) closest cafe was about 7 minutes walk. Relatively close to train station and Wangfujing Street. Very fair money exchange at the front desk as well.
