I was so lucky to have chosen the right place to stay in Siem reap, the hotel staff went beyond their responsibilities to assure our comfort throughout accommodation here in primefold. Judy was assigned as our personal assistant and she’s well spoken in English and truly a perfect person to help us around the hotel, information given by her for Siem Reap is so rich that we wouldn’t lost our direction in town. The management of this hotel truly surprise us with room upgrade, I have to say they stole my heart away. Truly in love with this place, definitely the only hotel I will stay if I come back in the future. For those who read my review, just go ahead and confirm your bookings, because it’s just a short walk away from pub street and night markets.
We spent in Primefold hotel 4 days and it was absolutely perfect. The hotel is located in 5 minutes walk from the city center and it's great benefit because there is no noise and fuss. The apartment was very clean, super comfortable and quite big. You can find there everything you need for your comfort stay. Hotel has nice swimming poole which is situated in beautiful garden. And it's great pleasant to spend some time in this relaxed atmosphere. Breakfasts in hotel was absolutely perfect. Besides breakfast menu you can use buffet with fruits, baking and drinks. And the staff was absolutely adorable. Everyone is so nice, hospitable and pleasant. We had wonderful personal assistant - Emily. She gave us everyday support in any questions, told about places to visit and made our stay in Primefold hotel absolutely perfect. Thank you Emily and Primefold hotel for your hospitality and made our stay so amazing.
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL!”
I could tell by the pictures and list of amenities that this was going to be a nice hotel (which it was), but what put this hotel over the top is the AMAZING customer service! The hotel staff are so kind and friendly, and accommodated any requests we had. I have lived in Cambodia for three years now and I have never encountered such top-tier customer service in any other hotel here. Special shout out to Judy who was our "personal assistant" during our three-night stay. She was extremely helpful and so kind to us. This hotel really makes customer service personal and does everything they can to ensure your stay in Siem Reap is carefree and enjoyable. I cannot say enough good things about this hotel. It has a very modern style and is very clean. The breakfast buffet was excellent, pool was beautiful, and it is within a 10-minute walk from the night market and restaurants. What more could you need in a hotel? This will definitely be my go-to hotel in Siem Reap from now on.
Excellent service and comfortable room”
Siem Reap was one of the stops in my south east Asia travels and I can say this hotel was the best "4star" hotel I've stayed in out of the other hotels (Singapore, Vietnam, Beijing). I should have known not to expect US "4 stars" standards in esp third world countries; the "4 stars" hotels in Vietnam and even Singapore smelled like mold and/or urine or something nasty... (didn't get to Beijing yet), but not chronicle Angkor hotel in siem Reap! It was clean and comfortable and I can confidently say it is a "3.5-4 star" hotel as far as US standards go. It did not smell anything weird or foul. But the best part was the service. The hotel staff were so friendly, professional, and worked so far to make us comfortable. Most staff speaks minimum English and one of the staff members (Bale) spoke excellent English. They also helped us book Tuk tuk rides for the day to explore Angkor wat temples and it was reasonable ($15-20/day). I highly recommend this hotel..The location is good as well
Cute and comfortable hotel”
The hotel is charming and well decorated with helpful staff, excellent food, and good value services such as laundry. The pool is very nice and the room was spacious, clean and comfortable with a pleasant balcony and large bathroom with soaking tub. We were a little disappointed with the service for the cost-- we were unable to have breakfast at the hotel due to early tour starts (pretty common in Siem Reap!) and the staff was unable to accommodate with a takeaway breakfast one day and the other days the breakfast provided was a little sad for the price of the hotel (bread and bananas). For a less expensive hotel we would not complain, but the hotel is a bit overpriced for the facilities and service, if rates were a bit lower we would have been very satisfied.
Amazing staff, Incredible Experience in this Modern, Boutique Hotel”
Service was 5-star worthy at this boutique hotel. Recently renovated and modern, but not without lots of charm. We booked using Agoda, got an amazing nightly rate. Gift and welcome drink upon arrival was lovely! The room was a great size, king-size bed, very clean, with a balcony and view of the courtyard/pool. Roundtrip travel from/to airport and full, sit-down breakfast each morning were included in price. Hotel is conveniently located, about 5-10 min walk to Pub Street, restaurants and all markets. Staff communicated well before and during the trip, even gave us a cell phone to use when at the temples. Hotel set up tuk-tuk service to Angkor Wat and other temples, our driver was with us all day. Couldn't be happier with our stay here. Our only regret is that we didn't stay longer. Highly recommend this place if you are traveling to Siem Reap!
5-Star Grade Service”
Value for money- you get soo much more than what you paid for. I was even upgraded to the very beautiful Cabana pool side room. It was just perfect although I still would have loved the Deluxe room I paid for. Location - a little off the main roads but still a good 5-10min walk to shopping like kings road, art center night market, old market, pub street, nights markets etc. Cleanliness - the room was really neat and looks new Staff - Exceptional staffs. I would like to give special mention to Bale and also Jessica. Also their inhouse tuktuk driver Mr. Seng is truly nice. I suggest you book your angkor tour with the hotel to skip the haggling with outside tuktuk. Their rates are actually quite cheap. All the staff are obviously well trained in hospitality and speak fluent english. I'm definitely coming back to see more of Siem Reap and Bale. Facilities - It's a small boutique hotel but evrything you might need is there. We even have our own clothes iron and board in our room. The pool and lounge I really love. Everywhere I go in this hotel it smells wonderful. Thank you so much Chronicle Angkor! See you again
Perfect service in a quaint boutique hotel”
We were pleasantly surprised by the highly attentive staff. In particular, there was one staff by the name of Nhing who was very meticulous to our needs. We are honoured to be his first check-in. He was simply the sweetest staff we've ever met with impeccable English. We would like to extend our sincere appreciation to all the staff at Chronicle Angkor. The room the we were checked into was also perfect. True to picture, we were not disappointed. Everything was very clean and well-maintained. The room was huge, the decor was beautiful! Location wise, the hotel is close enough to the night market to be convenient, and far away from it to be quiet. The Tuk-tuk driver that was recommended to us by the hotel was also very reliable (Seth was his name). He had extensive knowledge about the temples. Not only that, he was also extremely honest. We found an iPhone at the temple premises, and he took the effort to drive all the way to the young girl who was at some faraway temple who lost her iPhone. We will definitely return to Chronicle Angkor when we're back to Siem Reap, I promise :)
Chronicle Angkor Hotel is a beautiful hotel centrally located in Siem Reap with free airport pickup. When I arrived, I found out that the family that was staying in the room I booked wasn't able to check out due to a car accident. The hotel rep came to pick me up at the airport to apologize and asked if it's okay to put me in their sister hotel down the street. Judy, the hotel rep, was with me every step of the way to ensure that my stay was perfect. She also checked in with me everyday to inform me of the progress. When, two days later, my room became available, the hotel picked up my luggage and delivered it to my room. To make up for the inconvenience, they upgraded me to a beautiful suite, and offered me a delicious meal in their restaurant. All in all, I had a wonderful time. Highly recommended!
A lovely stay!”
I cannot praise the staff enough. The customer service was excellent. I wasn't planning to return to Siem Reap, but now I will, just to relax at the Chronicle Angkor Hotel. The food is excellent, and it was lovely to try Khmer dishes. Very tasty. The room was very large, and had a balcony too. I haven't been to many hotels of that price range that have a bath and a separate shower area. This was a bonus. My experience at the Chronicle Angkor was very positive, and I can't wait to return. I even received a thank you letter by email after I left. This was a lovely personal touch. Please try this hotel and see for yourself! M Thomas
I suppose the size of the hotel (only about 16 rooms) meant there were a lot less guests to deal with. And so the staff could concentrate on each of the guests better. Regardless, it takes effort and willingness to engage with the guests and it shows in the approach adopted by the staff here. I have to say it could get over-whelming at times as it got to the point where we could not have a moment outside the room without the staff coming over to engage in conversation! Sometimes we might just need a little more space to ourselves. But, end of day, the bunch was incredible and provided for our 3 day stay in Siem Reap really well. I went without a plan and they filled up my days with a solid itinerary!
Fabulous surroundings, good location and service ”
The room was lovely, very big with a separate shower and bath. The room was very clean! Although small the pool area is lovely and well cared for. Most days we had the pool to ourselves. It gets great sun from about 12 - 4/5. Breakfast was ok with a few choices but the staff were exceptional. They could see that I was pregnant and would give me extra food, paying attention to what I ordered and likes to eat. They were very friendly, helpful and attentive! The location was excellent. We could walk out easily at lunchtime for lunch and to the night market. Temples were not far away either and the hotel organised a tuk tuk for us when we needed it. Overall a very good stay and I would highly recommend. A great price for a little bit of luxury in the middle of Siem Reap.
Amazing staff makes this gem sparkle”
Here's what you need to know. Location is great! Most places are easily walkable but if its 100°+ outside no one will judge you for taking a $1-$2 tuktuk ride to get basically anywhere. The staff here are AMAZING and will go out of their way to make the experience great for you. Extra compliments to Judy who really made my stay special! The fruit at the breakfast buffet was great. I skipped ordering on the menu. The pool was refreshing too! Siem Reap is super safe and as a solo female traveler I had no issue walking back to the hotel after 11 PM when the breeze was in the air. The hotel can arrange everything you need for Angkor and their prices were fair (trust me, I did my research!) As well as booking local restaurants, shows, etc. Do yourself a favor and book here. You won't regret it!
Exceptionally warm experience”
Stayed at the Chronicle of Angkor hotel for the last leg of my SE Asia trip and without a doubt the most friendly staff I've encountered during my two week vacation. The front desk staff was always attentive to my needs and went out of their way to accommodate me. I was in town for a one night two days trip to see the Angkor Wat and the staff of the hotel arranged all the details of my excursion the afternoon I arrived, finding me a wonderful & knowlgable private guide and a tuk tuk driver. Each time I left and came back to the hotel, they'd send me off and welcome me back with warm smiles. Location is 5 mins walk away from the pub street and night market - lovely restaurant named Spoon around the corner where I had dinner. In the hospitality business the people make the experience and the lovely and young staff at the Chronicle Angkor Hotel made me feel just at home. Would recommend anyone to stay at this wonderful place and I will definitely stay here again when I return to Siem Reap
AMAZING HOTEL WITH AWESOME STAFF”
My time in Primefold was AMAZING! The hotel is so stylish, the room is so clean and big. The staff is SO friendly and helpful! Breakfast tastes so good! It's 10 mins walk from the old market and pub street. The pool is not so big but definitely a good place to chill!! Highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Siem Reap!
Unexpected New Hotel”
We have been traveling Southeast Asian for a month, staying at many 5 star hotels, but this has been the best hotel we have stayed at. The staffs are superb. They are so accommodating and they help you with your entire stay. They come out their way to ensure that we had everything we needed and helped us book our day trips to Angkor Wat, around Siem Reap, and even our following trip to Phnom Penh. They even have complimentary laundry service. Lastly, the location is perfect. We were happy with everything. Have already recommended many of our friends to stay here. 3star hotels but 5 star service. You will never feel that by staying anywhere else in Siemreap. To summarize, definitely stay at Chronicle Angkor again!!
Great experience ever!”
It did not waste any single cent to accommodate here. The room looks spacious and comfortable more than it is on the website. The staffs were very helpful, and they helped me organizing the tour, where gave me a great experience with many temples. The driver, who was arranged by hotel, was so friendly and he could speak a fair English. After back from the trip, the hotel offered me a free massage. the hotel was really up to standard both decoration and hospitality. For sure, I would highly recommend this hotel to my friends when they get a chance to Siem Reap.
superb hospitality, customer service and value for money”
I will even give them a 10. when we were there, there were some electrical problems. they took us by car to another similar class hotel with an upgrade to their best and biggest room. when the problems were rectified, they took us back to Chronicle and also upgraded us to their best room. it also happened to be my birthday and they surprised me with a cake. their staff were friendly and helpful especially their front office manager (Kong) who went out of his way to see that we were well taken care of eventhough it was his off day and busy with personal things. I will surely recommend Chronicle to anyone intending to visit Siem Reap. KK Leong (David) Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
A gem in Siem Reap”
The hotel is an oasis literally. The rooms are spacious, well decorated and very confortable. The stuff (Roy) of the hotel is fantastic! they helped us to book daily tuk tuk to visit the temples, also booked for us tickets for our boat trip to Battambang and assisted us in all what we required. The location of the hotel is also good, walking distance from the city center and with restaurants near by. I would recommend this hotel to anybody wanting to visit Siem Reap
We recently stayed at the Chronicle Angkor Hotel. It was just a wonderful experience. From the time we got there we were treated like family. We knew we were going to love our stay in Siem Reap. The staff was friendly, the hotel was clean, all in all it was the perfect zen place. I would highly recommend the Chronicle Angkor Hotel to anyone visiting Siem Reap.
