Acceptable”
The room is clean but air condition is not working. I have to call the staff to open it. He didn't open the switch. Also, the water stopped at night, no water in the toilet.

The redeeming quality is the food. The rooms are old and not the cleanest Staff and food great.”
Rooms are basic a bit dusty but more expensive rooms are very large. Very hot water. Sometimes bed was made but rarely cleaned between use. Not much to pick from. Staff got up early at 6 to fix us a going away breakfast and her dinners are among the best in town. The reason I picked this hotel was the food and I was not disappointed. As long as you go wit the a bit lower expectation than the rest of Myanmar.

Great place in Mrauk U”
Room was nice and authentic and cool also during lunch time. Staff was really helpful and the organised tour to Chin villages was really great. Try to eat prawn curry in the evenning. It is really tasty and better than all other options in town.

nice place”
Room and staff are ok but they sold me a ticket to go to Bagan and told me I would be there by 2am. At the expected arrival time in Bagan I actually arrived in a small village and the driver told me to get out with no explanation whatsoever. After I refused to leave the bus in the middle of nowhere, someone who spoke a little English told me that I had to get out and wait there for a bus to Bagan (that I would have to pay). From where they left me, there is no bus to Bagan so I was just left in the middle of nowhere after having paid a ticket 25000 at the hotel. I am extremely angry.

Good cost value at this present moment.”
Mrauk U is in the middle of developing in tourism. If you compare this hotel to others in Myanmar's standard based on price, considering expensive w what they offer. But i saw other hotels in MU are all over priced. Their cottages are cute but aged, but the property is nicely tuckled inside lush tropical plants and trees. Not sure how rooms in "newer" building might look inside... could be better? Their breakfast is same every day during my three mornings, crepe and omlet and toast and banana. As i love hot shower, the limited time of hot water availability(5-8 in both AM PM) is my only complain there. The street in the front of the hotel is dusty due to the construction going on at the entrance of the town. It is walking disrance to the center but their on site bicycle rental comes in handy. I personally recommend the restaurant in the hotel right next to Prince, it is the bedt among all other places where i had dinner. Good price and delicious, most of all, i like the attitudes of the female employees with Myanmar smile in the restaurant. You might find no one there eating but highly recommended. If you stay at Prince, check to see if the owner is there. He travels often so i missed the timing to meet him but he seems very knowlegable and could share many info of MU with you.

Very strange place ”
It's an old hotel, with no hot water and poor wifi not so clean, but at the same time it is not a bad place. I am not sure that owners understand the idea of hotel. Right now it's just a place to sleep, with a great and really helpful (even in Myanmar) stuff, nice breakfast. The problem that there is no better place for this price and even more expensive hotels are not better.

Nice hotel and food”
I slept in a dorm very well kept. Nice garden. Nice food. Organises trip to Chin villages. Only bad point is that it is a little bit out of the center so you will probably eat in the hotel (which has.delicious food).

Great Value for Money”
The Prince is currently renovating and doing a fabulous job. It is easy to see the owners vision for the rooms and the gardens. He has an eye for the style of the people who inhabit that region. The staff is very friendly and attentive, the owner is a gem. If you get the opportunity to chat him, do so, you will learn a lot about the region and Myanmar. The breakfast was good and the pancakes are divine. Dinner is also available. Mrauk U is still a bit of a frontier, so finding a friendly, clean hotel at a reasonable price was a bonus. We highly recommend The Prince.

Get a free upgrade to a big, new room. Good breakfast, egg, toast or pancackes, bananas..... The Dinner was also great! The staff is very frendly and help you with everything (bus tickets, sim card) You can rent bicycle for 2000 per day. Just 10min to walk is a really nice sunset hill.

thumbs up for the staffs!”
pros: cheapest hotel in Mrauk U (using online platforms), booked an 8bed dorm but they put me on a 2bed dorm, huge room and T&B plus with a veranda/balcony, rented a bike for more than 6hrs but they charged me for only half a day, free bottled water upon check-in, plenty of breakfast (2 crepes or pancakes in their terms,1 toast, 1 banana and Burmese coffee) in their garden, a bed net is provided against mosquitoes which is very rampant in Mrauk U cons: fixtures need some updating, location is just by the hi-way so you could here the buses etc passing by (though this doesn't hinder me from having a good sleep)

Nightmare”
This hotel seems to be a family home with rooms available. The rooms have been fixed up with bit and pieces.. windows don't shut.. doors don't shut... toilet seat was not fixed to the toilet.. there was no cistern lid..instead a piece of painted wood cut out to sit on the top.. barely furnished.. we lasted an hour forfeited our money and moved on to another hotel Mark U palace resort( not recommended either). However it was clean and staff were awesome but not enough to make us stay. Don't believe the picture or the reviews about it being very good.. WT?? I didn't go there with high expectations of anything too special but I do have standards.

Garden and friendly staff”
Some rooms can be a little old and you only have hot water from 6p.m to 8p.m but the staff is really helpful and their english is good. The breakfast is awesome , it's the better one I had in 3 weeks in Myammar. Enjoy the garden in the evening , it's more quiet than the guest hiuse in the center ;)
