The shower cubicle in the room we had was very small very difficult to have a proper shower.

The rooms and facilities were fine. Clean and suitable for our needs. Breakfast was good.

When we arrived, our room had been changed from a twin and a single, as requested, to a double and a single. I therefore expected to pay for a double and a single. When we checked out, we were told that it had been sorted. My understanding is that when I booked through Booking.com, my credit card details are taken only to reserve the room and that the actual payment for the room should be made when I am present and when checking out. Payment had been taken using my details before we had arrived at the property and didn't reflect the fact that one of the rooms had been changed from a twin to a double. We were told that this was due to Booking. Com taking the payment early and that the manager was therefore unable to change the amounts paid. Unfortunately, in my opinion, this reflects badly on this booking.

Would have preferred room at the rear as there was a bus stop right outside the bedroom window and the room faced the main road. We were aware of traffic.

Stairs to room...although the staff/girls did everything to help, even to getting a couple of customers to carry bags up...

bit grubby and tired. noisy customers leaving late at night. used linen left in corridors for 2 days. carpets in hallways not vacuumed daily. breakfast, although generous was cooked in a lot of oil

The proximity of the bus stop, the ferry, the Osborne House. The staff was helpful and lovely. Good Breakfast.

It was a birthday just at our window, so If you plan to sleep early don’t forget earplugs !

Poor check-in. Our keys had been given to other guests by mistake. The member of staff trying to handle this & the bar at the same time tried her best but we had to wait quite some time while she got hold of the owner/manager then located the spare key. Whoever she spoke to (on hands free) was incredibly rude about me because I was concerned that someone else had a key to our room. That was never resolved as she couldn’t get hold of the guests who had the key which meant we had to take all our valuables out with us as the room was not secure. Of the 3 rooms we had, the double was on the top floor. It was very small & very hot/stuffy even with the fan on. The bathroom wasn’t cleaned properly at all, in particular the shower. Twin room also had a poorly cleaned bathroom & bedding with cat paw prints on it. Breakfast took ages to come & was both over-cooked & cold.
