An excellent base to explore London. It's not luxurious, but the large twin room was comfortable, clean and as good as any 3 star hotel I've stayed in. The breakfast included was fantastic.

We use this accommodation each year for the BBC proms and party in Hyde Park. It perfectly placed for these events and central to most tourist venues and all the tube links. Although basic rooms it has everything you need and an excellent breakfast is also included

Great Location, operated by Imperial College London”
It's actually a dormitory operated by Imperial College London. Facilities are basic. Need to borrow the hair dryer at reception(limit quantity, free of charge, need deposit). Breakfast is at different location in the campus.Rooms might be in different buildings as well. You won't feel the same experience as staying in general hotels, but overall it's budget to stay in this area.

Great location, friendly staff, clean hotel room
I did not know Imperial College rents their students' dorm during school holidays. The location was great, walking distance to all the great museums, near the tube station and Harrods. The price was decent compared to hotels in London given the location and cleanness of the room.

    Breakfast, house-keeping, affordable
My 4 nights stay at the accommodation was really pleasant and I was really satisfied. However, the 4G signal was really weak in our rooms and we are unable to make calls/go online. Hence, we had to pay for the wifi.

    breakfast, location, safe
It was a good stay overall. Breakfast was good. Hairdryer required deposit. Wifi in room was not free: costed 5 pounds. Approx. 15min walk from nearby station but the place was in a lovely area. Some staff members were very friendly. The only downside was that the bed was extremely uncomfortable - the mattress in the room I was in definitely needs to be refitted.

Prime location, Clean and good Rate
As a solo traveller, I stayed in this hotel for 2 nights and am impressed. The hotel is located in central London which is convenient for getting around. There are a lot of attractions nearby such as Geography National Museum, Science Musuem, V&A Musuem and Hyde Park. In the surrounding area, one can also find many international restaurants. South Kensington Tube Station is just across the street. The atmosphere in the hotel is comfortable, it's modern but warm which is good for travellers who like privacy. The room is adequate and clean. There are some facilities such as daily room-cleaning, tourist information, bar&restaurant, convenience store and elevator in the buildings. The rate is good option for budget travellers and it includes European breakfast which tastes good.

    Location, Price, Breakfast
We were unsure what to expect when we booked our double room at the ICPG but were more than satisfied with our accommodation. The breakfast was varied and ample, the room was comfortable and clean but rather small (as would be expected for a student room). The location was fantastic, 2 mins walk from the underground and lots of restaurants and museums. We would definitely stay here again next time we visit London.

I was very pleasantly surprised by Imperial College. Staff welcoming, rooms spotless and modern, price conscious, and excellent location. It is a university dorm, but I would rather stay in this facility than some hotels. Highly recommended.

Good location, but room smelt like egg”
Good price room for the location, however it’s worth noting this is on a college campus and the room is probably usually used by students. It’s a fair sized room, and clean, but it did have a slight egg smell, and the bed was very hard. Breakfast is served in a separate building that requires a map to find. Quite a long walk to get to it. Useful for one night as a cheap place to sleep, but otherwise I personally wouldn’t recommend.

    Essentially a student dorm. ”
Great location in the heart of London. Uni gym and pool are quite good. Overall good value for money. Perfect for a short stay in London if you don't plan on spending too much time in the room. The downsides: - this is not a hotel so the staff are not trained to provide hotel level services so do not expect too much in that regard. - There are students staying in the residences and they can be rowdy. - The free breakfast is in the senior common room - a bit difficult to find but once you do you will be rewarded with some English breakfast delights.

Pool with extra cost around 4 to 5 pounds a day, breakfast is far (in another building), internet was out for TWO days, I asked several times and the answer is "IT are working on it!!!!". In addition, it turned out to be student accommodation (Imperial College). Room and bed are very small. Breakfast is fixed options, so if you are staying for mid to long period it might not be interesting.

    Misinformation on hotel and amenities”
This is not a hotel but are Imperial College dorm rooms that are rented out as hotel rooms. You will have no A/C, no in room amenities such as fridge, TV, etc. Your breakfast will be paid for but is across the street at the college cafeteria and expect the same food everyday. Although the location is great in South Kensington you will not have what travelers would consider normal hotel accommodations. They advertise a bar in the amenities but it will only be open Monday through Friday noon to 5:00 pm. no Saturdays or Sundays.

Overall I enjoyed my stay at Princes Gardens very much. The location is perfect, having South Kensington station with Piccadilly, Circle and District line in walking distance. Two things I would add: I couldn't find any decent supermarket around the hotel (maybe I was walking in the wrong direction) - but this is nothing that Princes Gardens can do about. And the other thing is that I didn't find the luggage drop-off very trustworthy and I was happy both times that my suitcase was still there. I didn't have the impression that someone really cared about who picks up a piece of luggage, and if this was the owner. Also it was openly accessible. Other than that, I would definitely stay there again!

Very central, only a five minute walk from the V and A, Natural History Museum and the Science Museum, also very close to South Kensington Tube Station, The Royal Albert Hall and Kensington Gardens. Really clean. But single room I had was on the small side, but if you have any spinal problems or Arthritis you may find the bed a problem as the matteress appeared to be of very dubious quality.

If you're a solo-traveller, this might be the place for you. Coming by bus, this place is two stops away from Victoria Coach station. All you need is a warm shower and a cozy bed after a day exploring. Very clean as accommodation is also used by students. Decent breakfast with enough choices to get the day started. Two big museums (NHM and V&A museum) are a walking distance away, as is Hyde Park.
