Best in Puerto Princesa”
Had to stay at the resort because of an early flight and its near the airport. Honestly, I didn't expected much from the resort because of some bad reviews. but i think Princesa Garden Island deserves some good feedback. I frequently fly to Palawan for business and i've seen and tried almost all hotels and this is exactly the hotel that i needed. very convenient to the city proper, near the airport, beautiful resort (not just the facade, but also the rooms are superb) good customer service and excellent food. just with the pool and sandbar tour the price i paid is worth it already. will definitely stay again.
superb”
My kids enjoyed the pool. Superb service, polite staff, filipino dishes during breakfast buffet are very tasty. We had been into different hotels and resorts and yes, the rooms may not be a cozy carpeted 5 star type, but hey-it is a resort type and the floor tiles will always be wet and sandy coming home from pool or sandbar outside. Plus complimentary banana boat, sandbar access, kayak, stand paddle, access to floating restaurant, free use of billiards and dartboards, free use of gym and bikes. However, they keep the room clean everyday and will always povide you with fresh towels. Moreso, i dont know why the other reviews state few food choices, this is by far the best breakfast buffet with a lot of tasty variants compared to other 4 or 5 Star we have been in other countries. No other hotels nearby or in Puerto Princesa Palawan can match what this hotel has to offer in terms of amenities, courteousness and service. You can even see their amazing landscape thru the plane window before landing. Highly recommended for families with young children. Just enjoy the view, the pool, food and your stay at the hotel, explore what they have to offer and have great bonding moments with your kids. Not recommended for loners/ backpackers and for those who have several tour itineraries everyday, better find a lodge or inn to sleep at night to get the best value for money. Will surely come back soon. They deserved my 9.5/10 rating, 0.5 for the other facilities they can still improve.
Home away from Home”
For a couple travelling in Puerto Princessa visiting the great Island of Palawan, it would be hard to beat the Princessa Garden Inn and Spa. Nicely spaced, clean and quiet retreat. Pizza at the Pool Bar is a wood fired brick oven and tasty. Beautiful tropical Island gardens, great pool, very well presented breakfast and night dining is good. More importantly the staff are awesome, always welcoming and always saying hello. The rooms are well kept and well presented. Things to know 1) The Hotel is outside the main town but not too far,Trikes are easily available to the foyer on request - 7 minutes and 100 peso's and your there. (only 10 min from the Airport) 2) The Sand (Spit) Bar at the hotel is not all year round but we did not really miss it. There are paddle boats you can use to get there if you want to stand on the sand bar. 3) If you have a nice bottle of wine you want to take to dinner its OK but corkage was on average $15AUS 4) Booking day tours are similar price at the Hotel
Exceptional”
It was so precious and fabulous time in Princesa Garden Island resort. I stayed in Water Villa W102 from 28th July to 30th July and had two wonderful nights. I liked everything(scenic water front view, free kayaking, sand bar etc) but especially, the staffs are amazing. All the staffs I have ever met was very kind and exactly know how to welcome and satisfy guests and their hospitality was professional. I want to come back and stay here again because of this resort and the staffs.
Amazing despite mixed reviews”
Was a bit hesitant to book here because of the mixed reviews but it was still the best option in Puerto Princesa so we went ahead with it. Booked the more expensive version of the pool access room and it was worth it. The food and service at both Rice and the Italian restaurant were amazing. The hanging bridge was cool, the floating jetty going out to the middle of the ocean is very photogenic. The pool is massive and so warm in the afternoon. Because we stayed in one of the more exclusive rooms we got private access AND also the main pool access. The grounds are very beautiful and well kept. The room is nice with a platform for the beds, but the bathroom was amazing and had a rain shower, two sinks, and a zen garden with a skylight. The early morning light in the balcony by the pool is amazing. There was a free Bumblebee movie at the lawns in the evening which we loved, only big con is there was no food allowed there while watching the movie. We are coming back with family.
Private Pool Access | Large swimming pool - no chlorine | Buffet Breakfast | Al la carte & Pizza”
Located less than 10mins away from Puerto Princesa Airport. Got a exclusive/private transfer from the resort for 300pesos/£4/$6 each way. Front guarded security entrance with barriers so very safe. Plenty of tourists and in particular from South Korea and China. Free welcome drinks and necklaces upon arrival. Private Pool room with two king size beds (european size) . Beautiful hot shower with twin sinks. Daily bottles of water was given for free. Housekeeping were amazing and created different towel creations everyday e.g. elephant, swans, crabs, and even monkeys! NOTE: not sure if this is down with normal rooms. Large swimming pool which is not deep and therefore strictly no diving. Resort does not use chlorine so you do not smell after a swim. Even in the rain, during November, the pool was a 'decent' temperature for my wife and 6yr old child. Check-in and out was simple. All staff greet you with a hello, "ma'am ,sir" and a hand across their heart.
A hotel that is a destination in and of itself ”
There are many hotels in Puerto Princesa, perfect for the traveler who wants a clean and comfortable room to sleep in before being gone the whole day on a tour. That is NOT what Princesa Garden is all about. This is one hotel you'd like to choose if you intend to stay within the property all the time. The facilities are sprawling, the rooms very posh and you wouldn't want to stray too far from the property if you indeed need to leave.
Fabulous resort”
We stayed here one night after a 2.5 week trip trhough the Philippines (of which we spent the last week on Palawan). Princesa Garden Island is a beautiful resort with a fantastic pool and lots of (complementary) activities. We had a good rate through Agoda, so that definitely made it worthwhile.
Simply the best hotel I've ever stayed in”
Staff so professional...housekeeping so meticulous to detail with cleanliness of room. Nothing was too much trouble. Resort is amazing with so much to do. Prices and choice of meals priced very reasonably for such a fantastic hotel. By the far the best hotel in Puerto Princesa so if you're looking at this hotel ,book it... you won't be dissapointed. It was our honeymoon and it couldn't have been better. 5 star experience!!!!!!!
Island Hopping”
Puerto Princesa is one of our stops in our island hopping tour. This resort is amazing! We stayed at the water villa. The Resort is meticulous, clean, and plenty of amenities. It even has an outdoor movie theater and a chapel. The workers are polite and their hospitality is second to none. The sand bar in the morning is awesome! I highly recommend this resort.
Excellent!!”
We really had a great stay in Princesa Garden, the place is so stunning, the food are superb & delicious! It is pricey yes, but it is totally worth it 🤗❤️ After ElNido tour, we chose to stay in Puerto to relax and for me & my husband to feel some classy & romantic atmosphere. And we are glad that we have made the right decision to stay here as all are lovely 😍 And I’m really thankful for the generosity of the staffs, as they even upgraded our “Classic room” to “Suite Room” for free! It is indeed a paradise for us, and we will surely come back to experience all of this again 💕
Amazing ”
Never go to Puerto Princesa without checking in to Princesa Garden... This is one of the highlights of our Palawan trip. Just an amazing experience. They really know how to take care of their guests.
Awesome Staff!!!”
Me and my Wife spent our wedding anniversary in Palawan. Our first stop is Puerto Princesa. We stayed in Princesa Garden and were very pleased by the courteousness of the staff. The place got so really nice view. The breakfast buffet is fantastic!! Would love to stay again when we get back to Palawan.
Very nice resort. Great staff.”
Best resort we stayed in Palawan on our 3 week trip. Would have been perfect if it had been located on a nice beach. The " sandbar" they make a big deal out of is , with respect, a waste of time. We had an elite pool access room which was great, would highly recommend. The first resort in Palawan that had good storage space, and the first one with drawers in the room !! Modern decor and great bathroom, very clean. Great pool area and nice little areas to relax. 3 onsite restaurants which were very good as there is nothing to do outside the resort. Excellent service and some great entertainment in the bar on a couple of evenings with some local singers, however if you are under 40 you would probably get bored. Puerto Princessa as a town was very limited.
Amazing Stay .. Definitly Coming Back”
I really enjoyed my stay with my wife there. Agoda website was misleading and we booked a room category that has two separate bed. however the staff was so understanding and they upgraded us to higher category to satisfy our needs. The staff were so kind and helpful. The hotel was quiet not too many kids and loudness. I think it is the best hotel in Puerto Princesa. It is not far from the downtown. We really enjoyed our stay there
Good resort but bad food”
I have been there with my wife, my children and, another time with friends of my wife. The resort is very accessible. The swimming pool is amazing, certainly the best of Palawan. The rooms are very fine with private access to the swimming pool. All is good, except the food. Up to the change their cooker, I will eat in any other restaurant of Puerto Princesa.
Exceptional”
I am awed with the staff, everyone was smiling and greeting guests everywhere (except for 1) the sandbar was beyond my expectation, but a little help will be most welcome (like a guided walk to the sandbar or anything that guests could use so access will be easier) breakfast is worth mentioning as I had my full, pool is just great; (should swim after cleaning) front desk/check in was fast, accommodated me and my friend's request of printing some documents needed for work with no hassle. thank u princesa garden! till our next visit
Best Accommodation in Puerto Princesa”
We stayed at the Premier Pool Villa for 3D2N, and it was actually better than the water villa. We really loved our stay there! The only problem we've encountered was going to the sand bar. We we're not informed that it is better to go there in the morning (During High Tide). Every time we go there in the afternoon, the water is very low and we can't go there. We didnt even had the chance to use the free 1 hour complimentary use of the kayak. Overall, it was one of the best accommodation we had so far. The staffs was also very nice and helpful. Thank you Princesa Garden. We will be back again :)
Beautiful Resort”
I wasn't impressed with Puerto Princesa but this resort made up for all that the hype lacked. Everything was available at this resort. Our room was perfect! Private entrance to the pool, large clean room! Friendly staff.
Beach Resort near the City”
The hotel is fabulous. Can't ask for more. Hotel staff are very helpful, friendly and always smiling. Whether in the front desk, housekeeping or in the restaurant. Will surely use it again when I return to Puerto Princesa.
