“Like a home away from home”
We stayed here in September during the wet season and extended our stay twice. The hotel is located on a small main road (not highway) and is a leisurely 8 minute stroll from the beach. Hotel rooms are spacious, extremely well cleaned, and large beds are not just 2 small beds pushed together. Rooms are very modern with kettle, air conditioner, large bath, and a flat screen tv. Some difficulties experienced with TV programming in both our rooms so once sorted, just left the tv on all day. Rooms have been constructed in a sort of rectangular type formation, so nearly every room has a view of one or the other pools in the courtyard. Although the property backs onto the local markets, and there is a large construction site nearby , noise was most definitely not an issue at any time of the day. The hotel has a small well equipped gym that I feeling too lazy to use, a small kids pool, several room direct access pools, and a main pool with a swim up pool. The pools were easily the most clean and well kept pools we experienced from any of the hotels we stayed at in Thailand during the last 5 weeks. Breakfast (buffet) was simple but sufficient, and consisted of the usual hot and cold dishes, fresh fruit, cereals and toast, and very very strong coffee from the machine. We all diluted our coffees with extra fresh milk. No tummy problems with food from hotel although if not your style, then a seven eleven is located a short walk across the road. Hotel is fitted with two smallish, fast, modern lifts that service all 6 levels, and there are access ramps around the hotel for the mobility impaired. There appeared to be parking under the building, but definitely roadside in front of the hotel. Although the hotel is only located several kilometres from the Phuket international/domestic airport, you may want to check hotel website to see if you can utilise the limited time hotel airport shuttle bus. If not, then be prepared to be ripped off due to the airport (I won't say mafia, but more like collusion) and pay over 500 baht for a 3 minute mini van ride, and no it is not cheaper if you get Grab as they all charge the same!!! Please note Grab mini vans were not allowed into the airport so we had to send a message to the driver who was waiting outside the airport, and then he drove in and picked up our group at the Grab pick up point near the domestic terminal. Also the local 3 wheel motor bike taxis were charging 100 baht for a 1km ride from hotel to the nearby beach front shopping and dining precinct, which is probably why their engines remained cold. In summing up, we could not really fault the hotel on anything significant, even though we extended our stay twice, and found all staff to be genuinely friendly and helpful. Please note a hotel security bond on arrival is normal, and we will most definitely be back when staying in the naiyang/airport area in the future.
