Good but could be so much better”
Beautiful resort and friendly staff but a horrible smell in the room on arrival. Reception arranged for a pineapple candle to be added, which worked to an extent, but the next day the smell was back and even worse. Shower was also very weak, which someone came to fix. They eventually moved us to a new room, but it would have been more convenient if they'd had done this in the first place, or better yet, checked the room properly before we arrived. Breakfast was decent, but the food at the wave bar was pretty poor and overpriced. I ordered the fish and chips (soggy batter on the fish) and the braised clay-pot pork (almost entirely fat, and burnt/stuck to the bottom). We fed this back to the waiter but no apology or discount given. The mini private beach looked great, but there's construction on it, so the sound of drilling and hammering ruined our time there. The pool was better, although still some construction sound from work in the room behind reception. Slightly disappointing.
Beautiful resort, great for families ”
We for a week in April and really enjoyed it! The staff were very friendly, the gardens were beautiful and the beach front restaurant was a nice spot to eat, listen to live music and enjoy the view. The kids loved the buffet breakfast and pool and the rooms were really comfortable. Definitely recommended!
The hotel and resort was great! The staff were all very friendly, from the pick up at the airport to the airport drop off. The gardens were beautiful, special mention to the team that looks after the grounds, they work so hard and always have a smile and a hello! The singer was good and he had good interactions with the guests. The bar staff and waiting staff were good and tbe reception staff as well as being great were really fluent in English. I went as a single person, I'd come back here if in a "couple" as it's very couple or family oriententated. The cleaners were great, every day the room was cleaned. They were friendly and work really hard. Breakfast every day was good, it was always delicious and the staff here were kind, friendly and helpful. Good time!
Decent Resort in Perfect Spot”
Overall, I was happy with my decision to book Camia for 4 nights. It wasn’t the best Resort I’ve ever stayed in but for the price and amenities it was great. I tried dinner at the Wave Bar my first night and wasn’t impressed with the curry (rather bland/flavorless). I chose to walk 15 or so mins into town to eat at the local restaurants from there on out which was a much better choice! However, the sunset view at the Wave Bar was fantastic so I would suggest getting some drinks and watching that before heading into town. I found the Camia to be very peaceful and not too crowded. The pool and beach areas were nice and there was plenty of space for everyone to get a chair/sun-bed. The beach front area is pretty small so if you’re looking for a long, sandy beach I would suggest heading to Ong Lang Beach over by the Coco Resort closer to town. Overall, happy with my experience at Camia!
A little disappointing!”
Highlights: - iced tea & chilled washer on arrival - nice grounds - welcome drink - good breakfast - beds very comfortable - amazing sunsets Lowlights: - Our room (205) far too hot, no aircon in living space (only in bedrooms) - Aircon wasn't turned on in our room for our arrival, even though hotel picked us up from airport so were aware of our arrival time - disappointed with beach area, couldn't really swim - gym equip not clean, treadmill not working, no instructions, no gym towels, suggest putting paper towels & cleaning product so people can clean before/after use - there were holes in our bathroom & bedroom doors, and doors all squeak - pool temp far too hot, like a hot bath - smoking around pool area was bothersome - not enough sunbed mats for pool beds - only had small fans in restaurant, need commercial size ceiling fans for that size space in that heat - kettle in our room didn't auto switch off - We just couldn't cool down on our entire stay!
Quiet boutique hotel near Ong Lang beach ”
Nice and quiet when we went. No loud music by the pool or by the beach bar which makes a nice change. Private beach is very small with not much sand, but ong lang is about 20 mins walk away. Breakfast buffet is very good. Staff are very nice.
Wonderful place ”
Fantastic service from all staff , accommodation superb , we had a beach front villa and it was superb . Also prices for food and drinks were reasonable as well .breakfast was good
Excellent location accommodation and service”
Superb friendly staff , location was excellent rooms were faultless Wonder ful stay
We're planning to go back there again later this year! Clean spacious and well appointed room. We stayed at 322 and has a great sea view. Staff were helpful, friendly and always smiling. Guests are mostly family. Beach is clean and water is clear with plenty of sea life.
Cleanliness & Facilities to be improve . ”
Cleanliness is under our expectation as we first go into our room and greet with lots of ants found on the dressing table & Mirror, water stagnant found at the toilet is we almost fall down while we discovering our room. Facilities like Shuttle Bus shouldn’t have charges to the guest as we are not paying small amount of money for a room and charges of 7USD per pax just to travel to the city night market is kind of overpriced . Sound system use by the guitarist should be improved urgently as music can be stop half way frequently while we enjoying the buffet dinner.
Awesome stay in this beautiful resort ”
Love the environment , beautifully managed by the resort . Every corner is so ‘instagrammable’. Well Equipped with facilities such as gym room , nice pool & even children playground and play room. Walking distance to the private beach whereby you get to enjoy sun bathing anytime. I had a relaxing stay at this beautiful resort !
The resort is very beautiful and perfectly located. The staff is super welcoming but also very helpful and extremely nice. Strongly recommend !
I stayed here with my husband and my parents for 3 nights. Nothing to complain about this. Beautiful resort, deserve 5 star resort not 4 star resort. Great bar beach front, great breakfast restaurant and great breakfast of course. Especially wonderful staff here. They are so friendly, helpful and thoughtful. My parents are old (my dad is 82 year old and my mom 76 year old). This was their first real holiday and they had great experience. Staff here always caring to my parents and supported us with electric car ride to go out and kitchen leader even offered free soup for my dad 2 times when he got sick. This really touched our heart. Thank you all a lot. We will come back and stay here again
Gorgeous, friendly, sublime Resort!”
We had a lovely time at the Camia Resort, the first hotel of our stay in Phu Quoc and definitely the right choice for us! Impeccably designed and landscaped, the huts are dotted along a hill and the beach bar/restaurant is right over the water with world-class views of the sunset. The breakfast buffet was the favourite of our trip. The 3 layered iced coffee was also the best - make sure you try it! The hotel is small enough to have a personal feel, which we loved. Very relaxing lounge section by the water (but no real beach). However, it's very quick and easy to get to Ong Lang beach (taxi). 2 complaints - they neglected to serve us a welcome drink. We were left there in the heat with nothing. The welcome drink voucher did not work for us, we would have preferred something lovely at the onset. The food at the beach bar is not the best. Some of the Vietnamese fare was ok or good, the pizza was not good. Rooms were gorgeous!!! Fantastic veranda with Hammock too!
Love this hotel. Very beautiful. Far from the town but hotel provides bike rental. Everything else were great.
good spot for holydays , except the beach is small and sometimes dirty the staff are very nice
A very good value for money resort, very well located. Rooms are big, clean, well equipped with nice bathroom. Very quiet location, great swimming pool, very close from the sea. Good breakfast and friendly staff. I strongly recommend and I will go back for sure there for my next trip in Phu Quoc.
We stayed for 2 nights and had wonderful experience here. Staff is friendly and thoughtful, taking our opinions and suggestions very seriously. Our room is large and well equipped, with a beautiful view of both garden and sea. Breakfast is delicious as well. The Wave bar by the sea is definitely a best site of view in the resort and you can see beautiful sunset with a drink. The only one shortcoming is that there are not many restaurants nearby in a walking distance as it is quite far away from the main road. All in all, Camia meets our expectation and worth a staying.
good staffs and wonderful experience”
My family spent 9 nights here, the location is good, near the beach, if you wanna eat in restaurants outside the hotel, you can walk about 15minunites. Actually, the restaurant in the hotel is good too, very fresh an clean, especially the view of sunset, it's amazing! The swimming pool is perfect, even has area for kids I most wanna say is about Camia’s service. Staffs here are very friendly! I would like to thank staffs who did room cleaning every day for us , they are very responsible girls. Thanks to HUY in the wave bar, he is cool and very responsible too. Thanks to all staffs in the front desk, they gave us a lot helps during our stay, epically the tall boy who wears glasses .Most of all I would like to mention CONG BAO who works in the restaurant, dear manger of Camia, if you could see this comments, please say thanks to Bao for my whole family. We had our dinner in the restaunt evey day.He is so kind and with great patience, providing lots of helps. Any way,we wil back!
Very nice place, nice and relaxed area ”
Beautiful resort, very nice rooms, free Airport transfer, nice beach (rocky, you need beach shoes, but you can snorkel), good breakfast, good staff. The restaurant can be improved.
