    Pros - good location across from the beach & near the crab market - a garden setting room design; beautiful and functional - breakfast was good Cons: - Pillows in our room were old and had black moldy stains on them. Towels were a bit worn out. For a room in this price range, you would expect beddings & other supplies to be clean and more comfortable.

    Rats in the room”
    There were rats in the room, which were running all the time in the night time. I’ve complained to the staffs and owner who spread rats bait on the first day only. They never tried their best to get rid of rats. I suffered the noises of rats running in the room. I dont want the future guests to stay in this kind of the hotel with rats and staffs and owner who never cared about their guests like this.

    Damp damp damp”
    When we got into our room the smell of damp hit me. I actually cried that night, it was awful, We stuck to the sheets, it prob is ok in the dry season but omg I hated every second . Was supposed to stay 2 nights but ran out of it at 7.30 am the following morning. Breakfast....well we just had bread and coffee then left. Travelling with kids and I was so upset. No thanks , never again !!

    Value for money: poor”
    First there is no proper reception, meaning you need to look for the people when you need their service/help Moment to check in: received the room key and the “manager” do not even escort us to the room. She stand behind the counter and say “keep straight”.... really??? The hotel is not clean if you look at the detail (light, corners of room roof...) A true lack of hospitality knowledge. A real manager will be appreciated as the lady who currently claim to be is a real disaster. She is not clean, used bad language, poor expression (English and Khmer) The famous wine bar opens when it wants without any information for guests... Overall a hotel which lost its reputation but prices remained the same... unfortunately... i do not recommend worst I annonce that there is better place than Le Ponton in Kep today

    Lack of staff”
    The only thing I love about this place is great location. Because there’s no greeting when we got there they just lead us to our room (and our room not yet completely clean they said they will have staff come and complete it but I didn’t see anyone come), lack of staff and they aren’t helpful nor friendly. Only the owner is friendly. food 5/10. Not gonna come back.

    Beautiful place, fab location, great staff”
    These bungalows are beautiful. Decorated with style and comfort. Perfectly clean too!! (Although the private terraces could do with a little brush down daily but I appreciate they’re under the trees so gather nature!). Location is fab. Right on the front and perfect for exploring the crab market & restaurants and National Park. Pool is great. Breakfast was delicious. Would definitely recommend and stay here again!

    Never staying at this hotel again! ”
    The khmer GM lady was horrible. We just arrived at the hotel not even 5 minute after walking in the room, she shout from the reception telling us to the shut our door, as she didn't want any dust or mosquitoes flying into the room!!!! The next morning I open the balcony windows and I can see her staring at me from the reception with a bad facial! That night we had a few drink and had our take away dinner at the balcony, we packed everything back after and we left our rubbish bag out side in a nice and clean way possible. The next morning breakfast time where all the guest were eating, she came and tell me off in front of every guest....that Her hotel now is like a Rubbish!!!!!!. is that how the GM come and tell your full paid guest? We in the group of 6 guest feel very very insulted by this Khmer ladies !!! WE did not ask for a free stay or we are staying in her house, we paid full price and we do want some respect as a guest!

    Nice spacious rooms in a beautiful garden setting”
    All photos on internet and Agoda of the hotel are accurate. (that is not always the case) It's a nice setting of rooms in a beautiful garden. Hotel bar is open in the evening. We had the sea view room. Room is facing west (nice to view the sunset) A spacious room, nicely decorated with outside terras on the sea side and one on the garden side. Good and clean swimming pool. Breakfast is French style: fresh orange juice, coffe/tea, eggs (any style), French chocolate croissant and French baguette with home made jam and fruits. Walking distance from crab market and restaurants. We rented bikes near the bus station for a few USD per day. Very friendly owners (French-Cambodian) Recommended place to stay when you are in Kep!

    Nightmare place”
    my experience staying in this hotel is nightmare, and I refers to how they treat the me compare what i have expected from the price that i have paid for them. Here are the things happen after i arrived at this property. The first day of my arrival, I arrive at the receptionist area, and I was trying to look for the reception just to check in, but we couldnot find anyone in the lobby. After 5 minute, there was a girl who was walking to the lobby, and I were asking her that "are you the receptionist?", she answered "I am the owner". Next, I were asking her about my booking through online, she didn't know how to check for online booking, and she asked to wait to call her husband. We were waiting and she gave me one rooms which totally different from my booking. So, I asked her that I booked family bungalows which has two rooms, and she said no only one. After that we just show her about their posting on agoda, and she said she did not know about it and she she started argue with me about the price that she sells it for walk-in is more 170$ per night for this type of room, and i said please see your online price. She was trying to change the attitude toward me by saying strong words and hand 100$ to me without respect word or any explanations or finding any solution at all. I just told her that I do not need your money and I need my rooms that i have booked through online, and please arranged the rooms for me. What i get back from her is she didn't know what to do if i do not take back the money, there are no room available for me. So, we have a big argument till a friend of her husband come to manage this booking for us, and he gave us the two separate rooms, and I agreed to accept those two rooms because i do not want any argument anymore. but, just the way she acts like i am begging for a place to stay for free and treat me so bad with her strong voice and words. The next day of my stay, I went to have breakfast and that lady owner go to check around she saw me, and

    Not so good”
    So expensive, i booked for family room but end up to stay in other separated rooms instead without any noticed. No wifi, other room no hot water, no staff helping to carry heavy lugguage. No more going there again

    Great place to stay”
    Le Ponton is in a great location on the seafront just 150 meters from the many restaurants and bars at the Crab market. Le Ponton has its own bar with a fantastic ambience and overlooking the sea. Landscaped gardens and nice swimming pool make it an ideal place to stay in Kep. The hotel has new owners (since 1 June) and they are a very friendly couple.

    Strange lack of welcome, service, or drinks”
    We booked 4 nights at Le Ponton, but once we got to Kep we realized that was a little too long for that town. Our room was nice and clean with a good view of the ocean. The pool area was also very beautiful and relaxing. When we arrived the only person to check us in did not speak much English, but he was very kind. No one else was there - not the owner, not the English-speaking manager. I asked for a map and information about the area, but they were out and there was no information in our room. I asked about the bar (which looked completely deserted and closed down) and he said "I don't know, maybe if the owner comes." I asked when the owner would be there and he said "I don't know." So we set off on our own to find information and food and drinks - which we found easily at the crab market down the road. The next morning at breakfast, the owner was there but we had to greet him and introduce ourselves to him. The English-speaking manager was there too and we asked later if the bar and restaurant would be open and he said "I don't know about the bar and we don't have a restaurant - you can go to the crab market." Now, according to the website, Le Ponton has the following: "Private bungalows with a terrace and free Wi-Fi. Outdoor pool with a pool bar Tropical garden Lounge Bar to enjoy sunset views, tapas specialties and a great selection of wines." So we were expecting to drink by the pool, have snacks or meals when we were hungry, just be lazy and enjoy ourselves. We did that, but not at Le Ponton. We found good restaurants and bars and friendly people at other establishments. So, when the manager told us on our third day that the bar would be open that night, we decided not to go; instead we drank elsewhere. And on our last full day there, we went to the pool and there were people there drinking wine and beer and had a big bucket of ice - the first we had seen of this. Turns out this group of people was friends with the owner and he was right the
