First of all the girl who welcomed us was very moody and made us always feel unconfortable asking any kind of info. The bungalow looks average from the outside but once you get in you realize that it s run-down. Bathroom was dirty and we found stuff of previous guests. One more thing, in that village to get rid of the rubbish they burn it, the “ rubbish dump” was just few meters behind our bungalow so in the night we couldn’t sleep for the smell of the smoke. Anyway acceptable situation if you spend max 10$ per person per night but absolutely inconvenient and unacceptable for 40$ per night. You can find a lot of better places for that amount of money!

Good location for dining”

Taking in to consideration the other accommodations on the island, we found this to be quite good value for money. We had two big beds, which was nice to have a big bed all to yourself with a mosquito net. No bed bugs. The cleanliness of this place was questionable tho. But then again, seems like this is the case pretty much anywhere in SE Asia. The toilet had an empty plastic bottle lying around and the sink/shower, looked like it hadn’t had a proper clean in a while. The shower only provides cold showers. The towels provided were great! The hammock outside was pure bliss and the view was great. However the sea on this section is not the cleanest, I don’t mean plastic rubbish but nature’s own. So you might want to walk a bit to the king beach side for a swim. The location was great evening wise, as you pretty much have all the restaurants of Sok San around you. The village itself is very cute as well. I might stay here again if ever in Sok San, typical bungalow :)

Very basic room could sometimes get quite cold at night. Rooms are literally on stilts above the shoreline, waking up to the sound of the waves was pretty cool though. Hotel is on a beautiful part of the island away from the lively main pier so suited for more of a chilled out few days. Restaurant served decent food and the wifi was good though none existent in the rooms. Italian next door served the best lasagne I've ever eaten. Ate there every night and blew our budget to smithereens. Bruschetta and lime pie also ridiculously good.

Very simple bungalow but the fact that the bungalow was literally on the beach was amazing. The bungalow was not cleaned the three days we where there. 35 dollars per night seems to be a bit overpriced.

We stuck at the Koh Rong hotel as we didnt get a boat to reach the hotel. We had to pay extra for the hotel where we stayed

Angkor chom”

It was disappointing to find that there was no wifi when advertised that there was. The tour they provided for $10 was an amazing experience and the accommodations were good for the price.

The beach is quiet and the area beautiful. Garbage gets washed up right by spot where the bungalows are, and it would have been great to see anyone cleaning up. We ended up staying in a "room" even though we thought we had booked a "bungalow." It was a very basic 2-bed, fan, mosquito net, private bathroom w/ cold water and running toilet, room. Water and electricity were intermitten and when power went out the room was pretty warm. Laying on the hammocks upfront offered a nice and breezy break. Customer service left a lot to be desired, which was surprising given there were quite a few guesthouses with vacancies in the area. Would recommend checking the place first before committing.

Too far away, boat trip from koh rong to Soksan cost about $30 one way. I should've just stayed in the main part of the island instead of taking time and money to go farther. There's only two or three places to eat in Soksan area and I didn't like any of them. Not worth going all the way to Soksan

Noisy bungalows.”

The location of Angkor Chom is pretty bad. There is a village a few meters behind the bungalow with animals. The pig is screaming loudly and the locals play loud music/TV the whole evening until around 11 pm. That is really annoying when you plan for a relaxed stay on an island. The water was very dirty at this location of the beach, just alot of garbage in the water so we could not even consider swimming. It was windy during our stay so might be better other days. The water quality becomes better when heading south along the beach. We called the owner one day in advance to arrange with pick up on the east side of the island, but when we arrive there was nobody wating for us. We had to take an expensive taxi boat to Angkor Chom and he did not even excuse himself when we arrived. The food in the reastaurant was ok. I would consider to stay somewhere else, due to the noisy and dirty location of this bungalow.

Una vez reservada y pagada la reserva, y una vez había llegado a la isla llame al dueño para que vinieran a buscarme al pueblo en barca, pues esta incluido. No pudieron hacerlo por haber oleaje en su playa así que no pude alojarme allí.

Aunque tiene 6 preciosos bungalows lo mas probable es que por el mismo precio te ponga en unas habitaciones con 2 camas dobles hechas con pladur en las que oyes todas las otras habitaciones, el passillo, la zona de hamacas.... Resumiendo llevate los tapones :)
