Anise Villa Boutique Hotel”

Mr Hy Sokheng the manager is without doubt dedicated to his job and his guests. Nothing was to much even to his telephoning my Cambodian friend because my Khymer was limited. His staff organised our flights to Siem Reap in addition. However you will need to use a tuk tuk to get to ATMs because the nearest one behind the hotel does not recognise certain cards. All in All I will certainly use this hotel again.

Nice place quite close to the city center and the places to see . Helpful staff but make sure you compare prices for the tuk tuk bcs the staff gives you the tourist price not the negociated one !! The swimming pool is small but so delightful after a day wandering around in the heat of the city!! Bedrooms are comfortable and you can enjoy 5 pieces of clothing for laundry for every guest! ! Breakfast is a bit limited for the price. Overall we were satisfied with this hotel and would recommend it.

Well located at a good price”

Tucked away in a quiet street, a short distance away from the main tourist area, Anise Villa is quiet, the pool is cool, and the service excellent. Rooms were clean, breakfast was sufficient, and there was always a tuk tuk or two waiting to whisk you whereever you want to go for a very small price (only $10 all the way to the airport, $3 to the Russian Market).

Beautiful hotel and rooms. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Small pool which is enough to cool down. Tuk tuk ride into riverside, attractions and bars etc. Short walk to BBK market. I would stay here again.

Great location; quiet and central with attentive staff”

Stayed for a week and Mr Heng and staff were very attentive. The hotel is located close to markets and supermarkets with easy access to the main attractions around Phnom Penh. There is a range of restaurants and cafes within easy walking distance and if you cannot walk the hotel will arrange a tuk tuk with a reputable operator. The facilities at the hotel are good and clean and if you need anything you just need to ask. Thanks for making my first stay in Phnom Penh a memorable one. I will be back!

Recommended Place to Stay”

Location is slightly away from main town centre, this area is more private and quiet. I like the environment was fairly good, as it is not crowded. Services was very good, from check-in, room conditions, day tour arrangement, complementary laundry and breakfast, housekeeping, toward my mid-way adhoc request to send postcards on behalf, they are really helpful. I feel delighted, and I do enjoy myself throughout the days.

I have nothing negative to say, our stay was perfect, all the staff were helpful and accomodating. The greatest asset of this property is their personnel, starting from The manager Mr Heng down to his staff. They take their job and commitment to good service to their heart. We will surely recommend the property to our friends and family.

If you want quiet and value for money this is the place. A charming 60' villa in a quiet road. Small pool but peaceful. Friendly staff and sweet Khmer music. A little tired and faded, and would benefit from a small refurb and bit of sprucing up but it would then be twice the price, so maybe better as it is...

Great hotel ”

We enjoyed our three nights stay at Anise Villa Boutique Hotel. It was located in a quiet street, therefore perfect for a good night sleep. Our room was spacious, clean and had a lovely balcony. The free daily laundry service was a real bonus. The staff were truly amazing and always smiling. The breakfast was excellent and plentiful. Prior to our arrival all our email communications with the front desk were answered very swiftly. We would definitely recommend this hotel.

Hotel has a great location with big comfy rooms and the staff were courteous and friendly. The only drawback was breakfast as it was very limited for an upscale hotel like this. My family has 2 vegetarians and there was little to none on the buffet for them - when asked to make something they were not very accommodating. The hotel is very near Independence monument and easy walking distance to all of the tourist attractions. We had a large kitchen in our room that we used for breakfast the rest of our trip!

Extended Family Hotel”

Well located in BKK 1 area in Phnom Penh, this quaint boutique hotel has a charm of its own. Although not new and with minor maintainance issues, the USP is their excellent staff. From the manager Heng, to the restaurant & hotel staff, all are polite and friendly. Like an extended family, they really look after all the guests. So happy were we with our stay on the way in to Phnom Penh, we stayed with them again on our way out. Room 005 on the ground floor is their best and spacious room. Generous with breakfast, the staff are happy to oblige with most things. Free laundry is a bonus.

A place to look”

It was our second time to stay there but unfortunately, we stayed there only a night. It's such a lovely place, quiet, good location and friendly stuff Especially, a guy at the reception. We will definitely go back to this place again.

As for the use of business, the location is not so bad, near the center of the business. But there are not so many restaurants. The staffs are friendly enough. The building itself is not so new, but is acceptable. TV is not visible because of bad antenna. WiFi is workable.

Great location and overall pretty good”

Loved the location of the hotel. It was within walking distance to a lot of nice restaurants. Breakfast was great! Highly recommend the green mango juice and the service was top notch. The gym was a bit disappointing with some of the machines not working at all. The only downside of the hotel was that there were mosquitoes and ants in the rooms. We found some ants on our bed and there were mosquitoes which didn't quite help with the sleep. However, overall it was fairly good for the price we paid.

A home away from home”

The Anise Villa was beautifully presented & spotlessly clean. We were made instantly welcome. The staff were very helpful, assisting us with phonecalls to confirm arrangements. The manager Hen was especially helpful ensuring all aspects of our stay were perfect. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. The pool was delightful and a welcome oasis to share a drink after a hot day.

Luscious Retreat”

Our second visit and loved it as much as our first visit 12 months ago. The Manager, Hen, is one of the best we have come across and we travel a lot. The other staff are friendly, courteous and go out of their way. The free daily washing is such a bonus while travelling. We plan to return to this hotel on our next visit. Highly recommended
