Nice stay on this small island”

We arrived Con Dao by boat from Vung Tau and we was very happy that the hotel sent us a minibus for a free pick-up at the port (for free). Same when we goes back to the boat two days later. The distance from port to hotel is long, it was for sure a 20 minute drive. The hotel is on a good place for go everywhere. We had a nice bungalow with two separated room. Everything was clean and working. Right in front was a nice swimming pool - really great for cooling down after coming back to the hotel. The receptionist girl was very helpful for everything and her english was very well. Breakfast buffet was good and enough. I can recommand this hotel and I will also go back there next time.

why are people complaining?”

Don't get why everyone is whining about the hotel. For the pittance you pay believe me its above VN standards. Everyone complaining should pay 500 dollars at six sense. The hotel is basic. I paid 20 bucks a night. For that price, I thought it was great value. Towels changed daily, room cleaned, nice road/sea view terrace. Staff nice and helpful although English is an issue - but they try! Suck it up for that price! Or get five star!

Too disappointed!”

It's called "resort" but in fact it's just like a "guest house". I booked a seaview room but it was covered totally by a tree fence. The internal design is ugly. The bed's rough that you can feel the spring and it made noise all night long. The toilet was stucked. No free water. No phone. I noted down to be picked up at airport but there was no car there until I called. Besides, the flight to Con Dao is always at 7am, but they don't allow early check in, so I have to wait 4 hours to be checked in. I and my friends will never stay here.

ATC resort is very good place for my family. It is quiet, clean, comfortable with reasonable price. The staffs are attentive and helpful. I feel happy staying in ATC resort and may come back again in the future.

Sadly the hotel would not honour my agoda 2 night booking due to typo on dates even though we clearly stated on airport pick up info two times , and we had our HCM hotel call them days before our trip to explain. We were almost the only guests there so it would not have cost them anything to make a guest happy. I ended up rebooking for5 nights.

Reasonsble option ”

The room is spacy and quite comfortable at the standard of 2 stars hotels. It was acceptable but, quite noisy sometimes due to the trafict nearby and poor isolation of the room. In addition, there were insects in the room, but no internet. The staffs were very friendly and helpful. The swimming pool and the garden are the best of the resort.

Not as bad as described”

I'd read many bad reviews of all the hotels in Con Dao so I was prepared for the worst, but ATC was 'ók'. I can see how some fussy people expecting full western hotel service might be disappointed, but most issues can be avoided. Firstly we paid for one of the new rooms. We found the staff very friendly and willing to help even though they spoke virtually no English! Not sure why management here wouldn't pay for on English speaking desk person. The main surprise was that Con Dao was not some sort of dirt road backwater as some guide/ reviews imply. It is a holiday location for rich Vietnamese and a small amount of westerners. The streets are super manicured with teams of people cutting grass and sweeping leaves. Not much to do other than diving and that was very average. Maybe we were unlucky but it was not worth going there for the diving (I've dived in nearly every country in Asia).

Tired hotel in need of a bit of love...”

With low expectations, we weren't too surprised by the state of this tired, run-down hotel. Clearly not intended for English-speaking customers, the staff try, but fail to respond to guest's needs. Skip breakfast - it's just not worth considering. The real shame is that with minimal care and funds, this hotel could be 100% better. The location is great and even the massive pool is ok. Just don't expect too much...

This Hotel is a disaster and the staff is the most unwelcoming you can ever imagine for a foreigner traveller landed once a the Con Dao Island. First of all there was a mistake with Agoda booking for which i had to fix by myself in order to retrieve a double room rather than a single. At this level, Agoda was brilliant and helped to sort out the issue soon as the receptionist there was the most unkind & unwilling rather unhelpful person you would EVER FIND working at such level within a Hotel organization, knowing there organization is not anything linked with what a single European may figure out prior to arrival at check in !!!! One of the Hotel driver is her father and this fellow stepped in the conversation, not to help at all, but to assume that we were wrong and that his receptionist daughter was right !!! Unbelievable as it is narrated !!! Overall, i may suggest for any traveller not to book there and to find better options with "Con Dao Guest House" where the staff is outstanding and polite, welcoming & flexible. Whenever ATC management will read this review, my message to them is barely to sack all the useless people they employ within their organization and to try to welcome the foreigner with better standards than waht they have been unfortunately able to show at the time we booked overthere. Everything here awful”

This is the worst resort I used to stay. It isn't worth a resort, even it's worse than a hotel. I wonder why it can be a 3 star resort?! Dirty room with awful smell in toilet, ugly internal design (like a rubbish bin), unprofessional staff, old facilities, no phone, no safe, bad service, poor breakfast... It is an insult for the word "resort". I will never stay here again.

Good location only”

Con Dao island is very natural, beautiful but has a few choices of high quality hotels and resorts except the very expensive five star Six Senses resort. Despite of good location and quite large resort, ATC Condao is really overreated. The hotel should improve its facilities and services.

i have never stay at a 3-star resort that is worst like this. Breakfast is very poor with only noodle and bread, even i can not be accepted to choose both of dishes, only one dish per guest. room is very dirty, i can clearly see dirty on my blanket. And I never come back despite of free of charge

Very bad service”

The place is ok, with a nice pool, decent bungalows, a good location by the sea, although not beach front. The manager and one of his employees (Boum, from Hanoi) were extremely helpful, helping us find a doctor for our baby, who suffered from diarrhea, on a Saturday evening. Unfortunately, they were there only one of the five days we stayed. The rest of the staff are either unprepared or plainly rude. The main female receptionist is specially irritating, spending the hours talking on her phone or chatting on Facebook, she wouldn't even look at the customer when they approach the desk unless you call her. Sometimes, she is so busy on the phone it can take more than 10 minutes to call her attention. She doesn't hide her annoyance when someone requires something from her and she is the perfect image of inefficiency, we always had to tell her two or three times to send someone to clean the room in the morning. Having someone like that as the main image of the hotel is a shame, because the place has a lot of potential. Another flaw is the restaurant. On our first morning we were surprised by a gargantuan buffet, but we soon found out this was an exception made for the large group of Vietnamese travelers staying at the hotel. Once they left, leaving only three or four bungalows occupied, the breakfast was just ok. If you want to eat at the hotel, dont bother to look at the menu even if the waiters will do that as soon as you arrive. On the five days we were there all they could offer is two different kinds of fish and rice. Not even chicken. It's not understandable, having the market just five minutes away by motorbike. However, what they cooked was good. One more thing travelers should know is that motorbike renting in the hotel is twice as expensive as downtown (five minutes away walking), so, its not worth it renting it from them.

All the bed sheets and bath towels are very old and yellowish. The food quite simple. One night I went out, left the room's key at the reception, I came back around 9.30pm. Couldn't find any one there to get the key. Had to wait an hour for some one turn up. So frustrated.

Bad Staying”

the hotel is overrated what you see on internet not the same you see when you visit there, the staff cannot speak english at all, the breakfast for my 6 days staying there almost the same food, there is no beach you have to cross the street to be able to swim, and the pool is dirty I think Con Dao is a hot small island nothing to see 2 days more than enough,

Nice location but no charm”

It is too bad the hotel has no access to the beach. We have to cross a road. The maintenance is a problem for this hotel The room was leaking during the rain. The restaurant and the breakfast was not enjoyable. No charm for this hotel

good location, friendly staff”

ATC has different rooms. I stayed in the poolview room. This place was their cheapest option in all ways. Money wise, and considering the facilities in the room. But considering the price it was certainly not bad. I have been in resort 3x the price with amuch harder mattress. My friend stayed in a ocean view room. This room is significant nicer with better facilities. The breakfast is not very special but sufficient. The pool is big but the disadvantage of the pool is that the sunbeds at the pool dont have a soft cover. Overall i would rate them as an average hotel.

Beautiful location”

ATC is very conveniently located, right opposite the main beach, near the township and walking distance to many interesting places. The new museum is just round the corner, just don't go between 12 and 2 as it will be closed! The night food market is also just round the end of the road, nice fresh seafood, but a little pricey for street food. National park has some good hikes, take good walking shoes. Hotel was fine, pretty laid back, not always anyone around if you need a staff member, so be patient! The bathroom had a strong smell (drains) which we asked about, and it was duly cleaned, but smelt pretty off by the end of the day again. Plumbing on islands. The room was comfortable, nice to be able to open up the doors for the cool sea breeze at night.
