I think every resort should offer a free ride on the tourist spots or places with that i think you could attract more guest or tourist in your place.

Puerto Galera is not a city or even close to it. It is a scuba diving destination. Sabang...Puerto Galera is not a city or even close to it. It is a scuba diving destination. Sabang Beach is not a beach, it's a tidal flat. When the area was developed, it was build very close to the waters edge and it beach was washed away during hurricanes. White Beach is a very nice beach though but you have to take a bangka to get there. The diving is excellent, with adjacent Verde Island offers some of the most bio diverse diving in the world and can be reached from Puerto Galera. Most hotels in the area are 1 and 2 star, and a few 3 star. Great place for scuba!

The town is provincial with one or two good bars and good shops along the main road. It is a party town and has the usual attractions, cheap accommodation, food and quayside bars. Most will head to Coco Beach or White Beach which are a little better situated and stylish. A place to visit a couple of days or really pass through to the beach resorts around the area.

My first excursion to the area almost fourty years ago left quite an idealic impression that I cannot get out of my mind and look for that in most places I go. It's great to see that out of all areas that I've visited throughout the Visayas there appears to be more of an environmental conciousness there.

Sometimes they will insist on "helping" you but expect a tip even if you were more than willing to carry your own bag.
The beach and snorkeling was very nice. The food is pretty similar from restaurant to restaurant, but still good. We didn't get a chance to see the waterfalls, but we heard they are very nice.

Highly recommend Ciao Italia at far end of White Beach, real Italian food from a real Italian chef! Easy to go snorkeling and island hopping, fabulous sunsets. Hire a local tricycle driver to take you around, we found and exclusively used Felix Romansanta tel # 09462133131, wonderful man, good English, took us everywhere, really made our trip special and memorable. The people are friendly and helpful, not money grabbers, very respectful. We spent a full week here, very relaxing, totally enjoyable. And it's VERY easy to get to from Manila.

They took us to Sabang port and from there we waited again. So we missed our original departure time. Very frustrating.

I also believe that Puerto is safer than many other parts of the Philippines and we had no issues out on the streets at night.
