We felt like a scam”

worst place I have been in Sri Lanka. totally overpriced! no wifi cold in the room (15-16 Celsius)!!!! we had a dinner there, they serv it from the next hotel. we wait for the food 90 mins and it was cold. After these things we didn't wait for the breakfast in the morning, we moved out one day earlier even if we booked for 2 nights... NOT recommend it!

2 Nights in Dewy Cottage”

Dewy had a nice atmosphere. The look and feel of the place is very nice and the view from the balcony is excellent. Make sure you catch the sunrise. The downside is Dewy needs a lot more attention to detail. I had no towels or soap when I got there and after a long journey I really wanted a shower. The rooms smell moldy and I think if they used a de humidifier it may get rid of the smell. They have to wireless routers but the wifi didn't make it to my room which was two doors down the hall from the desk where they were at. A little frustrating when you want to use the Internet. There was one light fixture in my room that simply had bare wires sticking out and then two above the bed that had no light bulbs and no spares in the hotel. The breakfast was not great but atleast its included in the price. The staff was very friendly but the English was not the best. Finally when I was leaving the staff told me there was a train to my next destination which there was not so that definitely affected my travel plans. All in all dewy would be fantastic if the manager would pay more attention to detail.

Nice stay, but hard to find!”

Relatively nice, but it was impossible to find! Consequently we had an argument with our tuk-tuk driver about a reasonable price for the ride, as we drove around aimlessly for 45 minutes trying to find it. Signage on some of the junctions on Unique View road would be highly advised. Otherwise a pleasant stay.

Not worth the money”

The rooms are generally clean and comfortable. Best thing about the place was the view. It was very scenic and overlooks the lake. Its location is near the town center which is convenient. However, the house is situated quite far in a small lane and will require about 5-10mins walk in from the main road up a steep slope. service of the owner was not good and he was not very helpful. He gave us wrong information on bus timing (seems like he wanted us to take his private driver which cost a lot more). Overall, it is actually a pretty house but not well run.

Nuwara Eliya Dewy Cottage”

We had a very comfortable night at the Dewy Cottage. The staff were awesome and put on an excellent breakfast.

Nice To stay in Hotel. Service was good. But Brakfast was poor, No servants for carrying luggage.

Dirty, runned down hotel”

no good things on this hotel. it was really bad! Dirty rooms, dirty bathrooms, no hot shower, it's a totally runned down and old conditioned hotel. Do not stay here! Avoid this hotel!

nice and charming guest house”

The rooms are cozy and clean. Although it's not spacious for 2 of us, smaller room is easier to keep warm. The hotel also offers excursions. They charge a little higher than the drivers who approached us in railway station. However there's no hidden cost and the timing can be more flexible.

this is the worst place during i stayed in Sri Lanka. There is no hot water in the room and the hotel is under construction, so it was noisy and dirty. The breakfast is so bad.

there were no towels. it doesn't have attache bath rooms, well, for this price you may not be expected that. No TV inside the room. Pleasant staff.

the manager/owner of this hotel took care of our stay well , he even gave us a ride to the lake and town . the location is fantastic ,, great value for money . and felt safe secure ..and the brekfest was made to order certainly will stay there on my next trip .

No tener agua caliente para ducharse y pasar frio no es lo que esperábamos la verdad. El dueño nos mintió una y otra vez, poniendo excusas. No se lo recomiendo a nadie!
