You can find better ”
Not too bad but not good for the price. WiFi not good No cleaning in bedroom Very hot or cold water but not warm Breakfast correct but juice bad. No shampoo, no water bottle... We paid 250 000 for the first night by agoda and we asked for a second night it was 350 000. For 250 000 is ok for 350 000 you can find better in Amed Good swimming pool !
Nice pool in front of the beach”
Manik Garam has a perfect location by the beach with a lovely swimming pool which is a few meters from the ocean. The rooms are big and the bed very comfortable. We just had some problems with the bathroom: Water was always very cold and it wasn't so clean (we found some insects on the ground). Also, I found the furnishings (especially in the bathroom) a bit old and outdated. The breakfast didn't offer a huge variety, but it was definitely ok considering it was included in the prize. A big plus to the staff, they were all super friendly and tried to make everything as pleasant as possible.
The rooms are nice and big, comfortable beds however they dont supply any bottled water, or a kettle (tea/coffee). Standard rooms only have a bed and side drawers. No where to put clothes and only mirror in bathroom with a table for toiletries but the bathrooms are large. Breakfast is OK but only 1 egg included. The pool area is nice and right on the beach. The price in high season is very expensive compared to other places. You can walk to eating and shops but road is narrow. We had a scooter that we hired in Kuta so not a problem for us. Overall we enjoyed our stay for 9 nights but we did insist on water and a kettle as the description on Agoda at the time we booked did say these were included. No inroom safe either.
Not at all like described . ”
Not a speck of shade anywhere on the property . No sand beach - all rock . We paid for an ocean view room but only got a view of building next door . Staff did not speak English. And were not very helpful. Internet was not available in room and was turned off completely when restaurant was closed . The bathroom was outdoor s and shower was full of mold and bugs . Overall not a good experience . We only stayed one night and it was not comfortable at all . We went out for dinner and when we came back about 9 pm the front entrance was completely closed and there were no lights . We could hardly find it . Not very user friendly at all . I would definitely NOT RECOMMEND.
villa depan pantai”
staff ramah, kamar besar dan bersih, lokasi depan pantai.
What is going on???”
Room is nice with air con, pool at the beach, with a small restaurant. On the first afternoon we didn't find anyone at the restaurant so we decided to eat somewhere else. After our first night a girl from the staff came and asked when we want to change our room. We said we didn't want to change, this is where the interesing part started. Staff knows very basic english words only, with almost 0 problem solving skills. It took 1 day to find somebody who can explain in english that they are overbooked and they are "kindly" asking us to move in the neigbouring home stay. Since I already paid for this I didn't want to go, but finally we came to an agreement, they promised 10% discount on the room price. Staff in the home stay was very kind and helpful, room was also OK, so all in all it was a good change. I'd rather go to the home stay next time and not recommend Manik Garam.
Very good value for the money”
Good, clean and new facilieties directly at the beach. Staff still a little unexperienced but very friendly and eager to please. Good breakfast options. Restaurant-food bland, though. Especially if you are used to the tasty Balinese/Indo-food. Pool decently sized and with infinity-touch but could use a change of water. But very few guests at my time of stay (five nights), so maybe better at busy times. Quiet at night!! No dogs, no noisy staff, no roosters in the early morning!!!
amed beach side”
good location and suitable for rest in quite environment
This place was OK but limited privacy and no ceiling fans!!! Air conditioning is so oppressive and bad for the environment. I wish the Balinese would get this!!! The breakfast was pretty ordinary. Staff were very sweet and eager to please.
Great location and great VFM. easy access to the beach and other great restaurants.
All the staff were very friendly, pleasant and really helpful at all times. Good swimming pool as the beach has many pebbles and stones to walk in. Yet, the breakfast was ok, but don't expect any hot water.
Construction during our stay, horrible stay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”
The hotel was undergoing construction. We tried to nap and absolutely couldn't. They were banging on our bathroom wall and we could see the workers through the open window. The construction noise and mess was horrible. In a family members room they asked for her key to complete more construction inside of her room. The floor and walkways were covered in debris. They did move our rooms and tried to charge us for this.It was still loud with banging from morning to early evening. We were not informed of this prior to our stay. The staff spoke very poor English and there wasn't a manager to request our money back from. Another member of the staff kept hounding, rudely for us to use him for transportation. He wouldn't leave us alone. DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL>
Gem of a hotel”
Right on the beach.Nice large rooms. Comfortable beds. Lovely swimming pool. Would definitely stay there again.
Great value for money”
We were with a family of 7 (including 1 child) its great to have a large pool to jump around and play with a ball and still have place to chill. The sleeping facilities are very clean, come with AC, warm water and other basics. Simple and plain breakfast, but ask them to through some tomato and onion in your egg and they are willing to do so. Staff has limited English skills, so if you have some basic Indonesian language skills its a big plus! But staff is very helpful and willing to accommodate your needs as best as possible. I doubt the original and full price of IDR 1,6million is trustworthy seeing the facilities and services provided.
Cheap hotel for few nights”
This hotel was a very good place to stay for couple nights for diving. Cheap but nice and clean. Pool area was good, breakfast a bit poor. Hotel is located nicely at the beach. AC stopped working during the second night of our stay.
Very basic ”
No tea/coffee facilities no safe in room don't let executive suite fool you the only thing different is outside shower which was like a prison bathroom
Good hotel. Nice pool. Clean. Rooms on the second floor have more privacy (nobody walks near your windows). Recommended hotel in Amed
Great rooms and pool. ”
Pros: great large size room and very clean. Amazing bed. Location is good with pool over looking the beach. Cons : easy to drive past the sign for the hotel, reception was not welcoming or interested in us arriving, check in was not informative, we didn't know about breakfast/pool times etc and didn't really enjoy the breakfast. But we would definitely recommend it for the price/value and location. Other staff were really lovely.
Value for Money”
Great location. Nice view of hills in background. The signature view of Mount Agung can be seen from the beach just at the doorstep. Nice room with great bed. Can improve on the breakfast menu. Nice food in the restaurant, a bit pricey though
The staff here are the nicest people I have ever met! They're always more than willing to help you in any way and the villa and restaurant are very clean. Would recommend to anyone, especially because it is also so affordable. A+++
