Good hotel with nice but small private beach”
Hotel grounds is nice & modern. Private beach was good but small and had jelly fish in the waters. Stayed in 2 bedroom apt, room 2001, which was comfortable & spacious. Some small issues when we checked in - one of the beds had blood stains on the sheet which meant housekeeping wasn’t paying attention. The light switch in the master room was wired in a weird way. When we switched off the master switch, not only did the ceiling lights go off, so did all the power points at the bed side, ie. the bedside lamps couldn’t turn on and neither could we do any charging for our phones next to the bed. We had to unplug the tv just so we could charge our phones. Would be good if there was a spa menu & activity list available in the room. We asked front desk about activities we could sign up and he pointed us to watersports centre without telling us that it was already closed so we walked to the counter to find that it was closed. Otherwise, a nice self contained hotel for a short weekend trip.

hotel was comfortable and there were restaurants nearby too. pool and beach was quite small room was spacious and smelled good

It was too far from the mall, approximately 1-1.5hour, although they had a free shuttle bus going to ayala.. The beds in the rooms was a little too high, but then I'm not a tall girl, it's OK for someone who's tall. Pool was really nice. Too bad I didn't get the chance to swim in the beach. A little expensive for a resort . You have to travel a little if you want to go out for lunch and dinner. Overall, it was OK..

I had a happy and beautiful day. It was so good. My reservation was for two single beds. The upgrades included two rooms, two toilets and three living room beds. Besides, Ocean View!! 15th floor! The club was beautiful and fun. Thank you for making me a good memory. The sea and the swimming pool were good and the breakfast was delicious. The staff is kind and I want to go again next time

We were there for 2 nights, 3 days.... decent value - we did't pay too much for a room upgrade on arrival - got a bit more space but the rooms are a bit tired (photos are prettier) The robes in the room didn't smell fresh though - had a bit of that mildew smell. If you are looking for a place to just stay and veg by the pool or beach for a couple days, then it's fine. Small beach area - people were snorkeling but I didn't think there was that much to see - definitely compared to other islands of the Philippines. Staff were friendly and helpful. But it always took too long get our drink we end up ordering the next one right when we receive our drinks. Spa was lovely - and the ladies there are super nice. Food was OK... we had to eat there because it will take too long to go find a place outside... The Ibiza bar was cool.

We really liked the small beach and the sea was perfect for swimming in. Plenty of deckchairs and umbrellas - The food is fine but nothing amazing and we enjoyed going to the Ibiza beach club for happy hour!

Highlights are the Ibiza Beach Club, especially in the evening when 6 nights a week they have a themed dance and song show, a troupe of 12 very professional with many costume changes; great fun. We also took a la carte dinner there which was well prepared, served and tasty. The beach is white sand and clean, lots of loungers. The room was fine, lots to commend this beach hotel, especially the staff. A couple of things which detracted, reception for checkin/checkout is small with just three desks and no aircon. Checkout is noon, but then found a long queue at checkout, waited 20 minutes and service was good when we got there, but the benefits of leaving the room freshly showered and cool completely lost; not a good experience to leave with. Personally I like to leave the hotel cool and fresh, and arrive at destination the same. I also noted that reception staff stand leaning forward to read their screens and serve guests, which must create back ache, one staff member did confirm.

Breakfast was too pricey .. beach front is disappointed dirty .. when I was swimming in the beach peace’s is floating next to us.. location is average .. food to expensive beach front is very disappointing

My only real complaint is that the beds are too small. we had 2 single beds so it was understandably insufficient for a mom and three kids. I thought it was enough to sleep 2 people in one bed but my 10yr old kid complained that it was too difficult to sleep. What I did to remedy to the situation was to take out the mattress topper on one of the beds and put it on the floor. They provided 2 extra pillows in the closet so that made things easy too. Instant fix that worked magic and didnt have to pay the hotel extra. A little imagination and resourcefulness goes a long way. The hotel room itself is a little dated especially the bathroom but it wasn't a major issue. Everything works well and the water pressure and temp works really well. No bidet spray but it's ok. Bath essentials were cheap, generic shampoo, bath soap, conditioner and lotion. All other amenities were great. Kids enjoyed snorkeling. Bring your own mask and floaty as it's expensive to rent from the resort. Bfast is goo

Private Resort Beachfront”
We loved everything about Movenpick except for the sky rocketing price of their massage, watersport activities, in-house apparel/grocery store. Our room is very spacious with a balcony view. I'd like to comment about the welcome fruit (mango) they gave us as it was very sour. There was also 3 pieces of what seems like a sweet dessert but tastes weird. We love the fact that every staff we encountered are very hospitable! Also, the buffet breakfast was worth our money. Their halo-halo is exceptionally sumptuous! Overall, we will still highly recommend this place.

Serenity by the Beach”
The entire staff is exemptionally outstanding. Each of them greets us whenever we pass by them. They all carry their smiles while working. All of them radiate positive energy! We booked a superior king room at the 2nd floor of the tower with balcony. The view each morning and sunset is just breathtaking. The privacy that this hotel offers is what we enjoyed the most. We also booked our city tour at the tour desk in house. We will definitely recommend Movenpick Mactan.

The service is what stood out the most. Very attentive even from a distance, they respect the clients need for privacy. When we get inside our room they have a gift for us at the table. We went out to swim and when we get back there was chocolates and mango for us. Our one bedroom suite is clean and very spacious. The view from the balcony is spectacular. The beach is amazing. Even if we did not get an island tour we just snorkeled in their beach still we saw a lot of fish. They have their own marine sanctuary.

It was great and very satisfied. I did a special request to do early check in but then when we checked in at 3pm we still need to wait for 15mins for the room which has been supposed to be ready already. So we waited but still enjoyed the view of the hotel. It was my father’s bday and when we got inside the room there was this little cake and saying “Happy Birthday” so thank you. My baby boy had a lot of fun swimming and it was all worth it. I had a massage at Spa Del Mar, it was very relaxing and felt so good. Went to Ibiza Club , had a cocktail drink mixed by Winston and the music was great. Overall, my stay with my family was memorable. Thank you.

Beautiful place tainted by loud music”
He place, amenities, service, all these hinges were fabulous But if you want to relax at a beach and enjoy the sounds of ocean waves this is not the place. The fine dining/outdoor performance music area begins playing a heavy loud base beat which is located right off the beach In addition there is a few private tour boats that board on and off right next to the beach area and they are extremely loud with music and atmosphere beginning in He morning extending until late afternoon I was never able to just relax, doze, fully enjoy the ocean/beach because of all the commotion

My expectations didn't match my experience”
Because of its premium price & hype, i thought this place was going to be like Pearl Farm. Sadly, i was dismayed with several things: 1. Check-in took more than 30 minutes -- it took more than 30 minutes for us to get inside our room!?! 2. I booked 2 family suites, & the other one had a defective AC. I thought it was just the summer heat & that we're nearby the sea, but no, it was getting warmer by the minute. It took more than 2 hours for us to be relocated in another room. How i wanted to go down to Ibiza Club during sunset but i couldn't leave my folks with such situation, so it was quite a waste of time. 3. In the newly relocated room, after i drained the tub from a bubble bath, water was leaking out from some hole in the tub to the entire bathroom floor. It was a mess. 4. I also noticed in all the rooms that the bathrooms weren't that clean; smudges were all over. 5. F&Bs are ridiculously overpriced BUT, STAFF/PERSONNEL WERE MOSTLY POLITE & HELPFUL, & THE VIEW WAS PRETTY NICE!
