Relaxing, Traditional, Friendly”
I stayed at this place several times. Whenever I (we stay), this place gives me such relaxing time. All staff is very kind and some of them speak very clear English. We use an inclined small cable car to get to an open air bath, which was very fun. In addition to these, meals are also very fine. It seems that the chief chef is stick to using local fresh fish or vegetables and all dishes were very tasty. Everything is good here.
Amazing experience ”
My partner and I stayed at this traditional Ryokan for 3 nights. The staff were absolutely amazing, as they were always kind, caring and helpful - they made our stay so enjoyable. We stayed in a traditional Japanese room, with a private Onsen, the room and Onsen was always clean. We were also able to enjoy a traditional Japanese breakfast, which was delicious! This experience has made our first visit to Japan so much more incredible, and highly recommend :)
Wonderful stay, love the tram to the onsen”
The owner was friendly and courteous. Rooms were large and clean. I enjoyed travelling up the tram although it was slightly quiet up there. Food was also great, I even bought some pickled dishes home as souvenirs.
Very Relaxing Place”
Whenever I want to relax and have time, I have tried booking this place. Staff is very friendly and views from the room and bath are both very nice and calm. In addtition to these things, the chief chef is stick to using local products and creating seasonal atomosphere in their meals for guests. If you want to experience Japanese good tradtional stay, I can do recommend this place for your journey.
Nice and comfortable ”
The owner and the staffs are very helpful and accommodative. The hotel is clean. Dinner is good. The owner even helped us to settle a small accident we had before reaching the hotel. Will come back again.
GOOD HOST AND NICE PLACE TO RELAX”
its a 15 mins walk from the train station. The hotel is on a up slop so challenging .However, you can take cab from the station and ask the driver for a receipt to claim from the hotel upon checking in. when checking out the owner even sent us down to the station. The owner is very friendly and can speak english. The hotel has a very unique train lift which will bring you up to the rooms which are up the upper hill.
Awesome outdoor chloride salt Onsen ”
The owner is of the fifth generation family. Superb hospitality! There are both indoor and outdoor hot spring baths. The approach to the outdoor Onsen is a short ride up in a funicular. Go for the half board so there will be more time to soak! It cost 750¥ by taxi from Ito station. There are also of shops selling seafood fresh and dried in two alleys near the station. A good first time experience for us in a tatami room.
Great traditional Japanese experience”
The ryokan has more than 100 years' history, saying that, the room has everything you can expect in modern ryokan (great WIFI, toilet, bathroom with onsen water in the room, etc.) The owner and his wife were very nice and offered us a lift to the Ito station when we departed. The food was so great, in particular the dinners. Walking distance to everything, there is a big drug/cosmetic store, a few convenience stores and a superamarket. Very nice and would definitely recommend it!
Good service/ traditinal/ hospitality”
I could spend such good time here. If we want to experience Japanese good traditional trip, I would reccommend to stay here. All staff is very kind with a lot of hospitality and people can feel slow flowof good times. Baths (hot spring) are always clean with its nice view.Meals are very good too with fresh and tasty contents.
Please come and try”
This was one of the best hotels I have stayed. Excellent service, food and experience. What make it stands out are their coziness given by their masters and staff. They introduced every details of the hotel and nearby spots. They even drove us to station at last. Food were heaven, especially it gave you taste of home. The tram they had was so interesting. I would definitely come again!
Excellent hospitality from staff and owner in this 100 years old traditional Japanese ryokan. Owner speaks very good English and provided us with sightseeing information and map as well as a clear explanation of dos and don't for our onsen experience. He can even provide car transfer to and from train station. Room was very spacious and clean. Very peaceful and tranquil. Onsen facility was also excellent. Dinner and breakfast was nice. Highly recommend.
A wonderful experience at this cozy ryokan”
The ryokan host is very nice and friendly, greeted us with warm welcome and provided us with useful information upon our arrival. Their staff are also very helpful and very good English as well. There is an interesting cable car ride connecting 2 buildings, and 2 different onsens for guests to enjoy! The room is spacious, very clean and well equipped. The food served is also very fresh and tasty. We had a wonderful experience at this cozy ryokan! Highly recommend!
vwonderful traditional japanese hotel”
Hotel is cool with own tram. Clean and comfortable. Services is excellent. The outdoor hot spring is very special in terms of the water quality which is very good. I didn't try their meal so no comment for food. But overall is wonderful.
Traditional Japanese House ”
Good that can claim the arrival taxi fee once we check in! Room is super big and clean which actually can cater a family of 4! All the meals will be delivered to the room by the staffs, staffs are very polite old man and lady. The lady tried to introduce the fishes and tell us how to eat, even I dun know Japanese, but weirdly I can understand what she was talking haha!! Easy to communicate ~ Meal is really good if you are a fish lover!! As we got there on Sunday night , and there is not much ppl , we didn't meet any person in the hot spring room !! Maybe becoz there is hot spring bathroom inside the room~ Leave there by the boss's car, he told us that the house have already run by 4 generation ! Wow~Amazing !
Excelletn Ryokan stay”
Have a good time staying at this Ryokan. An owner operated old roykan that is full of character. Large room with a great view. The owner is very friendly and warm. We were lucky to be able to enjoy the fire work that night. The roof top bath is great. All in all a great stay. The owner was kind enough to give us a ride to the station. A very kind gesture.
Good spring hotel”
The room is very big, and it's a typical Japanese room. Worker there are very friendly, and the manager can speak fluent English. You can take hot spring in the hotel. The only disadvantage is a little bit far from train station, might take you 15 minutes to walk to hotel.
Helpful staff and large rooms”
A peaceful old ryokan at the top of a hill above Ito town. The staff were caring and attentive and the rooms were quiet and large. The manager even helped drive us to our next destination himself! We enjoyed our stay and would return!
Asked to pay for 1 year 11 months.”
Asked to pay for 1 year 11 months. Additional 2 days stay around 11,000 JPY. Explained that all payment had been paid through Agoda. Luckily for me, owner was around and he accepted the agreement. He explained that in Japan, the normal way is count per head. But Agoda is an international company which normally count by room. Nevertheless, I still need to pay 600 JPY for my child for using the bathroom (Onsen)
Very excellent experience. Never thought of being treated so warm in here. They paid so much effort to let their guests feel good living in here. 1) Taxi fee could be redeemed to transport from JR to yokkikan 2) DIY notes and drawings to facilitate guests to familiar with transportation, attractions, hotel’s facilities… 3) Very clean onsen and showering area 4) At our check out time, the owner got ready with their car and umbrella standby at the hotel exit to drive us go back to JR station. To conclude, Very traditional Japanese style of choice. They started their business from about 1910s. So don’t expect their interior design are very new and grand
